My mother moved to Utah from California about 10 months ago, I didn’t write the review right away, because I wanted to have plenty of time to observe the services provided by the facility. Although I absolutely enjoyed the experiences I had with Dim, the sale manager, who helped me finding the room for my mom, he was so awesome and very professional, he went out of his way to make the accommodation for my mom’s special needs. I am very pleased with the staff (especially Wei Hong and Sherri) and the management team (General Manager Mr. Nate, and Sales Mgr Dim), they are wonderful, always there when I had questions or needed help. They really care about the residents and their families and trying to make the place a home for the residents. The facility is very clean and outside grass always nicely cut. The food are really good most of the time, once in a while, the beef was tough to chew. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an assisted living facility for their elder parents.

Recently I was faced with finding an affordable assisted living facility for a resident/friend at the retirement community I work at. My Executive Director suggested that we check out Truewood. I’m so glad we did! It’s a beautiful facility and very affordable. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Dim gave us a great tour and answered all of our questions, he was very supportive and made the move in process easy and stress free. Gaylen, the Executive Director of Truewood addressed my concerns quickly about the future care and financial needs of my friend. He made sure to give me all the information I needed along with contact numbers for the services we may need in the future. I am very impressed with the way they take care of their residents. My friend is very happy here. Truewood is a fabulous facility!

I had to move my mother from Florida to Utah in a hurry. (about two weeks) She had fallen and broken a leg and had decided that she just couldn't do it on her own anymore. See my father passed about a year and a half ago and I am her only son. I contacted Truewood and was given a tour of the facility. I can not understate how clean everything was, even under remodeling conditions. All the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I worked with Dim and Gaylin to accomplish the goal of moving my mother in on a short timeframe. They were both wonderful to work with. A truly great experience!! All this during the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving. My mother has been there for about two weeks now and can't say enough about how great the place is. She loves the food and the sense of great community the facility has. She is very happy there and I am completely impressed and relieved that my mother is well taken care of.

Golden Living Taylorsville is an amazing senior living community. My service group "Service Opportunities 101" has volunteered there multiple times playing games, making crafts, dancing, playing instruments, and simply visiting with them. They are one of the most involved organizations for seniors I've seen and always have something fun for the seniors to do in their spare time. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a very bright, fun, and interactive community.

Thank you Golden Living for taking such wonderful care of my sweet hospice patient in her last few previous weeks of life. As a hospice nurse I’ve had patients in several assisted livings in the valley, this assisted living is a favorite! Golden Living was always very clean, and the staff was amazing! A big thank you especially to Brandi the care coordinator and to Brandi and Destri the awesome med techs for not only taking great care of my sweet patient but making sure I was ok as well as her nurse. I spent many hours here with my patient, especially in her final hours. I was so impressed with how accommodating the staff was to my patient and even to me, which wasn’t necessary for me, but was so nice. You all were just fantastic, thank you! I would recommend Golden Living to my patients as well as to my own mother or grandmother.

What an amazing facility! I visited here in September, where I was able to meet with the staff to discuss the benefits of using essential oils to improve the quality of life for residents. The staff was very welcoming and professional and receptive to the information. We discussed the possibilities of diffusing essential oils as well as utilizing the Aromatouch hand technique. Training the staff in this technique has given them an additional tool to provide increased circulation, relief from pain and the comfort of touch to many of the residents. I was able to sit in on a few activities with the residents and it seemed like those who participated had a wonderful time interacting with each other and the staff. I have been to other Assisted Living Facilities and I am impressed with everything that I experienced at Golden Living Taylorsville.

First, I have never walked into an assisted living facility and felt so welcome. When you arrive at Golden Living Taylorsville, you will see quickly that the residents are well taken care of. When I arrived, the lady at the front desk was so informative and genuinely friendly. I then met Emily VonGunten, the executive director, she explained to me how they view care and that they treat each and every resident as family. She knows how to facilitate care on a level that is extremely rare in assisted living facilities. I had the pleasure of speaking with some of the staff and was impressed that they all had a very similar view about their "family." Shauna Stimson, the community relations director, goes out of her way to help people. Shauna is energetic, friendly, and very caring about everyone in the facility. Finding a place for yourself, mom, dad, or relative that is clean, welcoming, and provides phenomenal care, can be an extremely difficult thing to accomplish. Golden Living knows how to care and has the resources to help you plan financially for that care. If I were in a situation where I was forced to find an assisted living facility, I would be happy to call this place my home.

I visit Golden Living frequently providing home health care to several residents and have heard so many positive things from my patients. The clinical staff are excellent - - they communicate well and respond to emergent situations effectively. The care coordinator and facility nurse are competent, friendly and always up to date on the care of each resident. The facility is clean and in good working order. I've even heard good things about the food! So, for an assisted and independent living facility I would have to give Golden Living 5 stars.

My first experience stepping into Golden Living was so refreshing. Within in my job I visit many different Assisted Living Facilities and the biggest thing I look out for is the vibe I get from their residents. Life events in my moms life forced us to look into assisted living facilities. We had searched many places, but when we found Golden Living, we knew our search was over. There were many things that drew us to a Golden Living. It was in an area mom was already familiar with, her original home was not far from there. She knew some of he residents, the room accommodations allowed her to have her same furniture that she was used to from her own home, and the management staff was caring and understanding. It is the most stressful time in a child's life to make the decision to place their mom in an assisted living facility, but we have never regretted the decision. From the moment we brought mom to the facility, the staff have gone t of their way to make mom feel at home, even if mom's attitude was not always pleasant. Whenever we have suggested ideas in the routine care conferences, we have always seen the suggestion implemented. I appreciate the care and concern they show for mom. I have truly appreciated the honesty from the staff when it comes to what is best for mom, they have become part of the family. The activities are varied and so there is something for everyone, the food is amazing! If you are in the search for a wonderful, homey atmosphere, look no further. Thank you Golden Living!

I love the staff at Golden Living. Working with them to get my grandpa moved in was such a blessing. I never felt like they were trying to sell me something. I felt as though I had a friend with me walking me through everything and helping me with this unknown and stressful time. I am so grateful for that! I occasionally see patients as a home health physical therapist at Golden Living. I also see patients every day in many other assisted living facilities all over the valley. I go to the most expensive places in the valley and the cheapest. Golden Living is, without a doubt, my favorite. Not only is their staff involved on a deep level of care for their residents, but there is such a welcoming feel right as you walk in the building, every time. Part of this is the staff, part of this is the layout, decor of the building/property and part of this is the residents themselves. It's all of these factors that makes this diverse community a family. And I think that is the most important factor when making the difficult decision of moving from your long-time home to your new one: family. My sister is a resident at Golden Living. I was impressed with their facility when I was touring different places and they haven't disappointed me at all. The facility is a little outdated with it decorations but it is very clean compared to many places I toured. Their staff is very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. My sister loves her room and having her own furnishings. It feels like home to her. She has meet many people who have become friends and she enjoys the activities that are provided. The staff has even become her friends. She loves the women that helps with her room and laundry. She also enjoys the meals. I'm a resident of Golden Living and I am very happy. I don't have to do any chores or cook any meals. All I have to do is make my bed in the morning. I'm free to do whatever I want the rest of the day. We have games and bands that come to play for us. They take us on trips. Today they went to see the dinosaurs in Ogden. They also have started a walking class. There is a first, second and third class and if we make our walking goal we get to go to Disneyland. We make different things like hats and flower pots. We have movies if you want to go to them. We also have Mormon church on Sunday's, Monday and Wednesday night. Also they have Catholic services and services for other denominations. Everyone is very friendly. We often have real good times outside. We eat outside when it's warm. Every year we have a car show which is coming up real soon.
