They struggle to answer phones much of the time. When I gave them one star, it was at it's worse, but I actually got the manager's email address and have been emailing him whenever they stopped answering. That email address is now dead. Here's hoping someone sees this and reaches out.

I am grateful for the direct care staff that took care of my father, activities coordinator, people who cleaned, did laundry and maintenance, and the care coordinators. There was a tremendous amount of turnover, even among community leaders. This may be normal, but I feel this was misrepresented by marketing before he moved in. There were 3 administrators in 20 months. There are several home/hospice facilities that come to Carrington. However, my dad was not able to be at assisted living at the end of his life, even with hospice, because of the level of care. My impression was that senior management (above facility administrator) didn't seem to have a good understanding of what employees actually do in real life. For example, I think a nurse actually does far more than they realize, although I understand nursing services are very limited in assisted living!!!!! Home care or hospice can help, but there are limits. Also, I believe senior management all have full time jobs outside of assisted living. I believe last 2 administrators didn't have any administrator experience, so I would think senior management would be an important resource for the new community administrators. There were 3 administrators during my Dad's stay. I wondered who was responsible for policy development or how much expertise they had in the relevant areas. Last I heard Carrington was the only community in the organization. Sometimes that can be a good, but can also limit resources. I feel like the accessibility of the owner and involvement in the facility is exaggerated on the website. Also, I don't think the senior management are accessable, so I guess I don't understand their grievance policy or chain of command. To be fair, I did figure out how to contact the owner once and he was polite but told me that others have taken over management. My impression was that community leaders didn't get enough support or resources from senior management or the owner. Also, it seemed like the workload for community leaders was unrealistic. Some of the policies were weird. Like staff are not allowed to wash hands in residents room, and only one Handwashing station for a floor of 25 residents. Handwashing was a rare event and previous leadership told me some policy that was preposterous. The owner even believed this was acceptable practice, and nothing improved after I expressed concerns. Staff can't wash hands when equipment and supportive policies are not provided, so I blame senior management, not the staff. Supply chains were plentiful at the time. A small number of hand sanitizers were added (after I had expressed concerns about lack of supplies for 11 months) but I could tell they were being used only rarely. I don't think anyone understood my concerns. My father was colonized with 3 different multi drug resistant organisms and my main concern was to protect the other residents. Carrington did have outbreaks of respiratory and gastrointestinal contagious diseases. Even when he had active infections, I watched staff walk on to next resident without washing hands. Proper PPE was not always available for staff, even when supply chains were adequate. Medication administration process needed some updating for safety, and more supervision. What is the process when the med tech can't give a medication because it isn't available? A readily available med was missed for 5 days before anyone took initiative to get it in stock. My experience with the way HIPPA was applied is very different than my understanding of HIPPA and was used to withhold info, even when resident was willing to give consent for his family to receive.

Carrington Court has been so amazing to my family! Our situation has been very unique and they have done everything possible to make this situation the best it could be. They are professional and care deeply about their residents. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for care for a loved one. Thank you Bradly, Madi and Makayla for helping me and my family. I know this situation has not been easy.

Brad and his team were extremely hospitable in hosting a Dementia Training sponsored by Oasis Senior Advisors with invitees from other assisted living communities throughout Salt Lake and Utah Counties. Their support in allowing Karen Straw from DementiAgility to use their community and to provide all the necessary equipment and snacks was truly a testament to their commitment to helping seniors and others in the senior industry!! Deeply appreciated!!

The memory care Activities Director is simply amazing! I have been a nurse for many years and have been in and out of this building. Unfortunately more often than not the memory care residents get left to the back burner, but not here. Every time I am there she is interacting with the residents in a respectful and dignified way. They are always engaged and doing a fun activity. She simply blows the family members away with her creativity and caring. Whether it's her seasonal decor, bus rides with a frosty or a personal birthday surprise she is simply wonderful! The residents adore her and I couldn't think of anyone more perfect for the job.

A bright, warm, friendly environment. Employees and residents are a family that treat each other with warmth, care, fun, friendship and love. Our experience has been so positive that other friends and family members are considering this great location as well. We are grateful for their cohesive teamwork that helps make it a wonderful home for everyone that resides or visits.

My father was at Carrington Court for the last 9 months of his life. The facility and staff are first rate. We feel fortunate that he was there.

We have had a wonderful experience with Carrington Court. My father in law loves living there and especially enjoys the people that work there and take care of him. The staff is always available to assist with anything that my father in law needs. We are so grateful knowing that he is receiving great care and is happy.

Carrington court is by far the only place that I would place any family member! About 10 years ago my wife’s family placed her grand parents in Carrington on the assisted living side and it didn’t take long to see how exceptional the care is here. When my mom needed the extra care that we couldn’t provide anymore we placed her in the memory care side for the last year of her life. while she was there i would visit and spend a fair amount of time in there each week so I was able to see first hand how much the staff loves and cares for the residents. I was so happy to see that they hadn’t changed after the years and are still providing such excellent care for other people’s family members!! No words can express my feelings for these people and what they do. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I cannot say enough good about Carrington Court. I worked here as a CNA from 2010-2015. And now my wonderful sweet Grandma is a Resident here on the memory care side. I knew the minute she was diagnosed with Dementia I wanted her at Carrington Court. Nobody knows how a place is truly ran better then an employee who sees the ins and outs of everything. Carrington Court Administration truly CARES. That is what makes this place truly the best. It is Inevitable that places go through staffing shortages from time to time but you will never hear that as an excuse here at Carrington. When they have these things happen, the administration isn’t afraid to put on scrubs to make sure every resident is taken care of as they should be. This place is a no excuses place. I can’t recommend it enough. The time and effort they put in to activities is wonderful and the residents look forward to it. The administration and activities director and several other employees have been there since the day it opened. Its a family vibe.

I very much recommend Carrington Court. The staff is wonderful.
February 2019
Although my mother was only at Carrington Court six weeks before she passed away, my family felt the care she received was attentive and patient. We would definitely recommend this facility to others who have need of assisted living or memory care for their loved ones. The staff was most professional yet personable and were always willing to assist with whatever was requested.
November 2018
We worked with Tina Hoyt to move my parents into Carrington Court. It was not easy for my parents but was something that they knew it was time. The first day the staff was there to greet and help them with the moving experience. Many of the residents came by to welcome the family and introduce themselves. The local Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-saints branch president and relief society leaders came by to check on them. Unfortunately, my father became ill the third day and needed around the clock support. Between the Scott (Carrington Court nurse) and Hospice there was always someone there for both of my parents. We could not have gotten through this period of our lives without their amazing love and caring for my parents. These words can't do justice to the level of care they received at Carrington Court. Thanks for the personal attention goes to the entire staff and Carrington Court. One other note, may parents had previously been in another assisted living center without the care that was provided by Carrington Court and they left. You know as soon as you go in the door that they care for your parents and that they are in good hands.
November 2018
Immense gratitude for all the kindness, follow through, and help to have my mom placed in a better facility. It is a beautiful, clean environment and the staff is amazing and so willing to help. Thanks for all your hearts.
July 2018
Robert and I truly enjoyed being around all of the staff and workers at Carrington Court Memory Care as he received the comfort care he needed. Our family is so grateful for the excellent care, understanding, concern and dignity provided in a very happy and cheerful environment. I loved the way Bob was greeted each day with a hug and always treated with kindness and respect. Watching my sweetheart decline mentally and physically was overwhelming but, I knew I could visit any time of day or night and enjoy time together. I am grateful for the tremendous support through this journey.
July 2018
We loved everyone there! They took my father in law and made him feel like family. It was the best experience! Diane the activities director got him involved in the exercises, bingo, field trips and more. He loved the people there and made many friends. He was only there 5 months before he passed away but they treated and took care of him in a way that we would have. I would live there!

Carrington Court Assisted Living Is a magical place for its residents, and the family and friends that come to visit! The staff and all those who work at Carrington Court are amazing! They make sure that the residents know that they are at home! The facility is beyond clean and fresh, and each resident has housekeeping every day, and their laundry is taken care of for them as well! The upbeat energy that the staff has is contagious and it has been a great place for my mother to flourish! She loves the outings, the crafts, the activities, the staff, and the independence she has in her own place! We love all of those things too, and the knowledge that she is safe where she is with the medical alert push button necklace gives us peace of mind, and we know that it is a real blessing for her to be at Carrington Court. Another amazing thing that they offer are 15 meal vouchers for family and friends to take advantage of during each month Yes I said each month! They have a private dining room off of their main dining room for us to use on special occasions, and we have used this several times, and it is such a luxury to have that available to us! They also have special occasion dinners for the holidays where they can invite two guests to come and share a special dinner with them, and enjoy the evening with them! It is really, really fun for all! We just cant say enough good about Carrington Court, and we know that not all assisted living centers are created equal from personal experience, so we want you to know that as you are looking for somewhere special for your loved ones to call home, you will not be disappointed in Carrington Court!

The hardest thing I have ever had to go through was deciding to put my Mom into a Memory Care facility due to her early onset Dementia. Everyone says "The only thing you ever have is your memories". I find myself asking; What happens when even your memories fade away? She has been a resident at Carrington Court for the past two years. She has gone from a dancing, singing, sweet lady to forgetting everyone, including her family. The Activities Director, Debby Burke has always hugged every resident every day to let them know that they are loved. Although they will not remember her the next day. She said They will remember the they felt loved and safe. As my Moms health declined, every one of the staff members came to hug her; hug me. The compassion and care towards my mom and me is overwhelming and rare. The residents of Carrington Court cannot speak for themselves and show their appreciation, therefore; I feel that I can be their voice and say Thank you! Lots of Love, Natalie Kaddas & Danna Clark

Special place that takes care of everyone with love, respect and dignity.

We were so grateful to get my sister in law , Teresa, into a room at Carrington Court. When we visited before signing a contract we were so impressed by the facility. We loved the high ceilings and the spacious rooms. The common areas and dining room and food were wonderful. The atmosphere was clean and well kept and inviting. My sister in law was so excited to move there. She felt like she had won the lottery. But it was even better than that...the staff was kind, responsive and helpful and the residents were so welcoming and friendly. They offered activities and did all they could to welcome her. We were pleased on every level. Sadly Teresa unexpectedly passed away just 22 days after moving in. I'm so grateful to all the staff and residents for making those last few days of her life some of the happiest she'd had in a long time. I would recommend Carrington Court to anyone for their loved one.
July 2017
I love Carrington Court. They are so kind to all of the residents and really make it a home for them. They are constantly doing fun activities and having impressively good performers come to entertain. They often go on outings, which my mom and I both enjoy. Plus they know my mom personally and are more than willing to be flexible to care for her needs. I cannot say enough good about Carrington Court.
July 2017
My husband and I have been actively involved with Carrington Court for the past 7 years. In 2010 and 2011 my mother was a resident at this marvelous facility. We chose this facility because of the beauty, cleanliness (it always smells clean), and location. From there we fell in love with the care and atmosphere. The food, aids, nurses, service personnel, and management were friendly, thoughtful, loving, and knowledgeable. Though my mother passed away in 2011, we felt like we wanted to be involved with the residents so have helped with the fun field trips and many activities that are provided since then. For the past 3 ½ years, we have also been involved through church service. This brings us to the facility several times a week. Not only does this give us the opportunity to get to know all of the residents on a more personal level, it gives us the opportunity to observe the daily activities, staff, and general facility. The friendliness, caring, and love that we felt when my mother was there has continued and, if possible, increased. We cant recommend this facility enough. This is more than a helpful and compassionate place for our loved ones to be. When we walk in, it feels like home. The residents and workers are family.
July 2017
I visit Carrington Court with my therapy dog and would like to say that it is a very nice place. I have visited other facilities in the past and I think this is the best! It is clean and decorated beautifully so it feels like a fine hotel. They always have great activities planned and field trips to go on. When I talk to residents they have all had only positive things to say about the staff and facility. The staff has always been happy and friendly to me as a visitor too. Very nice !!!
July 2017
I love everything about Carrington Court! I could not have found a more friendly, attentive, empathetic, understanding, or safe place for my mother to live. From my first visit over 18 months ago to the present, I have felt their total love for my mom and for me as her daughter and caregiver. Mom loves those that work with her, help her with her daily activities, encourage her to exercise, visit her often, watch her medication, and ALWAYS answer calls and questions immediately. Every time I walk into Carrington Court, someone greets me and tells me how much they enjoy having my mom live in their facility. In fact, my mom thinks she is living in a hotel of her own. I am always amazed at the quality of professional help at Carrington Court: nutrition staff, medical personnel, housekeeping, custodial, activities planners, receptionist, and management. They all demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their assignments, always with a smile. For anyone seeking a loving and attentive living environment for their loved ones, I would recommend visiting Carrington Court. From the moment you walk through the door and smell the fresh scent mingled with a "how can I help you" from the receptionist, you will feel at home.

Very nice place indeed! We had fun with the residents giving them massages, staff was great also!
September 2016
When it became time to place our mother in a care facility we shopped around for about a year. We came back to Carrington Court three times. There was just something about this lovely facility that we were drawn to. We looked around and talked to residents and workers alike before making our final decision. Mom has been living at Carrington Court now for over three years now; living both in the assisted living, and the memory care units. The facility is beautiful and she's always happy to be there. She goes on "field trips" every week, has people she can talk to, is well cared for and respected in every right. The aides, nursing staff, activities directors, and the executive staff knows every resident and their family members by name. This is a top-notch facility and if you are searching for a care facility for a loved one I strongly urge you to visit Carrington Court. You won't be sorry.

To all the personnel staff of Carrington Court, Elvie and I would like to say thank you to your staff and all those who help support my father Robert Devor for almost 4 years. A special thank you to Tina, Mike, Diane, Jasmine, Jordan, Brooklyn-(smile), Asia, Molly, IvaJean, Vicky and others who aided in the care of my father. The five star rating that you have received barely scratches the surface of all the help and care that all of you have shown my father and other residents over the years. thank you everybody.!!!!! God bless Elvie & Gary

I had the opportunity of having my two grandparents live at Carrington Court for the last several years of their lives. The help and kindness that was given to them I will always appreciate. The facility was so clean and well managed. It was the perfect place for them to live.
