My Father waqs lucky enough to spend his last weeks at Valencia and I honestly wish we'd made the move a lot sooner. First, the staff AND management are amazng. Empathetic, kind and always willing to help. Then you meet the nursing staff and you know for sure angles walk in those halls. Finally the hospice care team was always there as well, every step of the way, even delivering Fathers Day gifts after my Father's Passing. If I could leave 10 stars AND a top I would, these people, this facility, the medical staff , the community director and facility management- all truly amazing kind and loving - I feel lucky to have them help me through the worst.

My mom has been a resident at Truewood for several years and she’s been real happy. My mom has made many friends at this facility. Recently her health declined a little and we needed to up her care. The staff was very helpful every step of the way as we navigated through very unfamiliar territory. The staff listened to what we needed and provided the care my mom needed. Misty patiently helped with a referral for a good doctor. Jeremy always helped when we had questions or needed assistance. Lauren at the desk is very kind and helpful as well. Mike is very kind and helpful with rides to places the residents need to go. Ann is a very good general manager and makes sure family members are cared for very well. The nurses are very helpful and kind as well. All of the staff is very helpful and kind and makes me feel at peace knowing my mom is in very good hands. I highly recommend Truewood for loved ones. Literally a phenomenal experience with Truewood. They have been so accommodating and helpful. Our mom was very apprehensive about going into assisted living and they helped us the whole way. We had to transfer medical records from across the country and they helped do everything. The facility is great - no funny smells. There is something for them to do everyday and lots of ways for residents to stay busy. Sandra was amazing and was able to get us the best pricing possible. I am very happy this worked for us and the staff has been fantastic.

This is a great facility my dad and I love it. I move my dad to Truwood from Georgia and Sandra, Ann, Amy ,Laureen , Jeremy and the rest of the staff have treated my father like family. I would highly recommend this facility it's very clean the staff are very friendly my dad is a disabled veteran and they have a veteran wall in which his picture is displayed and he feels very honored and proud when he passes by and looks at his picture every day and all the other veterans that have served our country.I do see why true would receive the Top award last year for the best senior living center. Most of all would stand out is the passion of the front end staff Amy and Kareem are very passionate about involving the seniors in daily activities and Sandra and Ann always go to extra mile to work with my dad to make sure he's comfortable..

I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and kindness I observed by the staff as I toured the building. As you walk into the building, it is beautiful and clean. The lobby was filled with the smell of freshly popped popcorn. The concierge was very kind and she was engaged in friendly banter with the residents. Some of the residents I spoke with were praising the new administration and the positive changes the have have seen since Ann Carlson became the General Manager. This place in excellent when compared to other facilities. Negative comments from others have likely not been to or worked at other facilities. I have visited several other assisted living facilities that have literally half the staff, or less, that this facility has. Occasionally things will slip through the cracks, like with anything in life, but no facility is "perfect". When I visit my mother, there are always plenty of friedly staff that are ALWAYS willing to assist. The activities coordinator is AMAZING, where she actively plans lots of activities, outings, etc., and personally is invested in getting the residents involved. Administration is always open to feedback, good or bad, and actively strives to improve any issues that arise. The food is very good, and sometimes even great! My mother is very happy here and is thriving since she's moved here from an independent senior appartment complex.

Describe your experience I had the opportunity to tour this facility in December, while looking for nice, clean, caring environment for my parents. Miss Megan Leishman gave us the tour. She was very knowledgeable, pleasant and bubbly. She explained all of the amenities, costs, insurance; she was able to answer all of our questions. She did not make us feel rushed, or feel as if we were intruding on her time. It was a very nice experience. I would, and have, recommended to many of my friends that when they are in this type of situation with a parent, or parents, they definitely need to check out the Canyon Creek facility.

We put my wife’s mother in Canyon Creek in June of 2014. We had to make a fast decision and brought her up from Mesquite on a Sunday evening. Canyon Creek made all of the arrangements for admittance. The CARE is great, every need was met with above average care. The staff only needs to see you a couple of times before you are on a first name basis. Canyon Creek Assisted Living is Excellent! it is a very friendly staffed facility-all employees are very nice and always willing to help out-you are greeted warmly when you walk in the door. The facility is clean, and nicely furnished. The dining room is beautiful and the meals are delicious. They have games, entertainment and great programming. They are also very willing to come into the community and participate in games and other activities that benefit the surrounding senior centers. We highly recommend that you go and tour Canyon Creek you will be amazed and very pleased!

I had the best experience at a Canyon Creek resident field trip the other day at Hollywood Connection. We had the most wonderful time put-put golfing and riding the carousel with the residents. The pizza party in the Hollywood Caf© was the highlight where one of the residents showed us all how to blow the paper off of straws and we sang along with the juke box to nostalgic songs. Two thumbs up for Canyon Creek and their wonderful staff. Thank you from all of us and thank you for all the wonderful care you give.

I have a family member who lives at Canyon Creek, and has for awhile, and I can honestly say that I love it. I trust the employees to care for my family and I always can count on them to let me know when something happens or needs attention. The CNAs and managers all know my name and that of my family member's. I don't feel like a client and my parent does not feel like a patient or room number. It feels more like they are part of a huge family that all reside at Canyon Creek. Whenever I meet with the CNA supervisor for regular check ins, he is always so friendly and actually listens to me. The few minor issues I have ever brought up he makes a priority. You can truly tell that him and his staff care about the people living there. There have also been times that I have called him on his personal phone during his days off, or after he goes home for the day, due to needing information on my parent, and he actually answers and helps me. No one does that anymore! It seems like there are always activities and things to do to keep everyone living there active and social. My parent's room and clothes are always clean and they never have any complaints. If I ever do need assistance helping my parent out of the room for example, there is always a CNA around happy to help. If I call them ahead of time when I'm picking my family up, the employees always have them dressed, fed and ready to go by the time I get there. All the other managers are always smiling and say hello to me and I just can't explain enough how nice it is to know that your parent is in a place being taken care of 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I have read some of the low scoring reviews and honestly to me it sounds like a bunch of disgruntled employees. Every now and then I would walk by a CNA who was not smiling or helping and I'm sure those are the employees that can always find something bad to say, while writing a review with plenty of grammatical errors and misspellings. I would highly recommend taking your loved ones here. The employees work hard, the managers truly care, the residents always seem happy and I have been coming here long enough to be able to say that with back up.

My mother has been at Canyon Creek for a year and a half. She is very happy there and one of the main reasons is Jeanette, who truly makes a point of getting to know each and every resident personally. Jeanette goes above and beyond to try to meet the needs and desires of the residents, so in my opinion, she is the glue that holds this facility together. I did visit 2 other places before choosing Canyon Creek but chose CC because of the recommendations of 2 of my friends who had relatives there previously. One of the practices I especially like is that they put a new resident at a table with other residents who are on the same level of independence, and this makes conversation easier and creates a bond of friendship that makes being new so much easier. My mother is very shy and it would have been very difficult for her to go to the dining room alone and blindly approach tables and try to find a group where she would have been welcomed and happy. I would definitely recommend Canyon Creek to anyone looking for a place for their loved one.

My Father was at canyon for 9 months. He enjoyed the friends he made there. The caring CNA's and aids at canyon creek were amazing and wonderful to my dad and also our family. The staff were friendly and created a safe friendly happy healthy environment. I would highly recommend any one needing a living assistant home to see for them selfs how great this place is. My daughter and I looked for weeks around the salt lake area for the perfect place, that would take the best care of my father and it was by far the best. My father has since passed away and as I drive by I have nothing but good memories there. I saw my father daily and spent a lot of time there. I got to know the staff and aids on a personal level and they are truly wonderful. We feel blessed to have found Canyon Creek.
