I visit my brother who is a resident of Legacy. His wife was with him until august of last year when she passed away. My brother has Alzheimer's. I am so impressed with the facility and staff. The employees know my brother and take good care of him. The facility is always clean and inviting. Food is delicious and my brother enjoys t activities. Thank you for taking such good care of my brother and also for the care given to his wife as she was at the end of her life. Your place is amazing, the best in northern Utah for sure!!!

I have had 4 of my loved ones live here. It is the absolute best community and staff. They care about each resident like their own family. And they have been completely prepared for all our medical needs. Hailey even saved my Uncles life via the heimlich when needed. Legacy House has been an incredible home for my elderly father. He has been here for close to eight years and he selected this residence for himself. We have experienced exceptional service with kind, caring administration and staff including the in-house nurse. Med techs help with Dad's medications and Vicky has transported Dad to and from his Dr. appointments with expert assistance with wheelchair mobility and on-time dispatching. The CNA's are happy and helpful with their careful assistance. Every detail has been taken care of with the gatherings for family and tradition for holidays and celebrations. Off-campus activities have been top quality, especially when Dad could no longer drive his car. Dad has felt very comfortable and at home in his community here. We are extremely grateful to such capable and wonderful staff and enjoy every moment we spend together. Thank you, Legacy House of Bountiful, for taking such wonderful care of our loved one!! We are very grateful for your help, service and kind daily support to our amazing Dad!

Excellent assisted living facility (needs to evaluate fall risk from bed and during showering). My dad is now said to be a fall risk from bed (by aides), so a patient-safety evaluation needs to be done to determine whether to get an adjustable home healthcare hospital bed that raises and lowers via electric power, to be used together with a fall mat, aides also suggest a better (bariatric) mattress to prevent against pressure sores. Such an evaluation may help powers that be within family to allow delivery of the adjustable bed and high-tech mattress that was purchased two weeks ago. An OT review was recently performed but didn't include patient-safety evaluation, recommended against shower safety transfer chair already in use. That OT review should be given a second opinion to include a patient safety evaluation and review.

The meals are delicious with several options offered every day. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I rarely write reviews but I am impressed with the Bountiful Legacy House and I feel people should know what a great place it is. My husband and I enjoyed a tour of the facility but it wasn't until I volunteered to help with a couple of their activities that I realized what a wonderful place it is! I love how the workers talk about the residents! They seem to honestly love them and are so sweet with them even if they seem forgetful or annoying. The workers would say to me, "She is such a dear, she is just having a harder time today." They were so thoughtful and happy with everyone no matter what. I realized it wasn't just one or two workers but all of them seemed to radiate that kindness. My husband and I are getting older now at 74 and 80 years so we know we may need assisted living eventually but my attitude has changed and I look forward to it.

My mom recently passed away, but lived at Legacy for almost 3 years in the "Cottage"- memory care. The Legacy House added quality to our mom's life, that we were no longer able to do. This is one of the most important and difficult decisions to make, but everyone from the custodial, kitchen, yard maintenance, front desk, estheticians, administrators, med. techs, nurses, dental, podiatry, hospice, counselors, doctors etc.... have been trained in the most compassionate methods. This Utah family owned business has the residents as their first priority; this family and their amazing employees should be training the rest of the world in adult care. Thank you to the Legacy House of Bountiful- our mother's life was extended because of your comprehensive, thoughtful care and we are most grateful.

These are genuine individuals who provide the highest care to your loved one. My mom was there for 10 months before her passing. She was a little sad to lose her freedom from living in her own house. She was falling frequently and needed extra help. The thing that really made her want to try living at Legacy House was the fact that she could take her cat with her. The staff was very friendly. They work hard to get to know the people who live there. She had a stroke and was afraid that people wouldnt want to take to time to understand her speech. They did well. As you look to senior living you need to remember you get what you pay for. As a family we appreciated the care that was given to our Madre.

Gee, where do I start? My dad is 95 and lived at Legacy for five years before being lured into moving to a brand new facility built in Bountiful. All that glitters is not gold. He was at the new place this last year and although it was beautiful there, the management was off-ish, most of the staff still didnt know his name after nearly a year. Any time we needed something for my dad they didnt seem real interested in helping him. (I kind of got the feeling they didnt like old people...!)I called Liz at Legacy to see if he could come back.. They have welcomed my dad home like a conquering hero! Sometimes you have to eat some grass on the other side of the fence to see how good you have it with the grass you have. From David to Liz to the activity girls to Callie to Shelly the chef to... well... EVERYONE! Jerry and Nick in Maintenance are about as good as they come. They have just gone overboard in their cheerful assistance to move him back in. They even came to the facility he was leaving and took the TV off the wall mount; then installed it in his room at Legacy before we were unpacked! I hate to ramble, but its hard when you want to single out every employee! When everyone asked where my dad was going, he said well, Im going back home (meaning Legacy). One other note: Jerry and Nick came to his room in the new facility on Veterans Day and gave him a beautiful 5 x7 plaque that they had given to all of their veterans. (CJ Peay was talking about the great parties they throw- if youre a veteran, trust me, they will treat you like a Medal of Honor recipient!) The new facility? They gave him a pen with a flag on it...By the time my dad left the other facility, he had given up even going to bingo. Except for three meals in the dining room, and walking his Pug every day, he was watching TV westerns 16 hours-day. His first day at Legacy he had: exercise at 9:15, non-denominational church Bible class at 10:00, podiatrist there at 1:30 and a pie party at 3! And if they know he goes to exercise every day, and he doesnt come, they call his room to make sure he didnt forget or is not feeling well. The things other facilities do as extras are just part of their normal care at Legacy.So you can live a beautiful facility where youre treated like a renter, or you can go to Legacy where they also have beautiful surroundings AND everyone knows your name... If you want your loved ones to be treated like theyre being cared for by family, you come to Legacy.

The moment my sister and I walked into Legacy House of Bountiful we knew that this was the place for our parents. It felt like HOME. We toured other assisted living facilities in the Bountiful area, but none of the others compared to the feeling that we felt at Legacy and were not the right fit for our parents . I love the small cozy, family feeling that resides there. Easy access for our aging parents to walk down the hall to the activities, dining room and church meetings without having to leave the building. The aids and med techs are kind and loving and really care about our parents. I just love when I witness one of them hugging my mom, just because! The administration listens when we have concerns and makes the proper adjustments as needed. We work together as a team to ensure the best possible quality of life for our parents. The staff knows each resident by name. You are not just a resident. You are valued member or the community. You are treated with respect. Every staff member and resident has helped our parents to transition from their home of 55 years to their new home at Legacy! P.S. They throw the BEST PARTIES for residents, family and friends!

My Mother is a resident of Legacy House in Bountiful and her daughter (my sister) just passed away. My Mother has had several vertebra fractures and is in a wheelchair. Because of the risk of further fractures, we as a family have not dared to transport her anywhere. Because the funeral will be on a Saturday, the Legacy House transport van is not available, and so two of the loving and caring staff at Legacy House immediately volunteered to give up their Saturday to transport her to the funeral and then the cemetery, without even being paid. We are overwhelmed with their kindness and goodness to us! Our Mother has been at Legacy House of Bountiful for over two years and we know that their concern and love for our Mother is genuine and real. They have done a simply exceptional job of taking care of our Mother in every way. We have only great praise for them and they have our highest recommendation!

I lived here for seven and a half years, although there were some ups and downs, I loved it. The staff were terrific, and were pretty easy to get along with! I loved the activities, the exercises helped me a lot! I loved all the big activities outside, the shopping, the trips we took to site see, the picnics, the nature trips, the trips to the temple and our church services. Our branch Relief Society and Priesthood Leaders were top notch! I couldnt have asked for better! I felt part of a family! I loved everyone and I felt they loved me back! I moved to be closer to my daughter who lives in Clearfield now. But I keep coming back to see and talk to everyone and miss everyone so much! If you are looking for a place to live or a place to put your loved one, this is it! The staff and residents try so hard to make everyone feel at home and special!
