We moved my dad her January 31, 2023. I do not have the words for the amount of gratitude I have for the entire Elison Staff they have all gone the extra mile to help my dad and our family make this difficult transition from independent living to assisted living. My dad is the happiest I have seen him in 15 years. He loves the activities and the food. He has his own apartment but has help when he needs it. He loves watching the birds on the lake and "having friends that seem like family". Several key people here have gone above and beyond: JT, Janett, Lanett, and Kevin. My dad has been a pastor and a salesman for the last 50+ years and is the most independent person on the planet so coming to assisted living took a lot! Kevin Kee helped my dad through the most difficult decision my dad has very made and treated my father with dignity and respect without making my dad feel pressured. This was the right way to handle my dad! He would have never come here otherwise. Thank you, Kevin.

The care that they provide at Elmcroft of Lake Wellington is super. It's a clean and nice place with lots of activities, and the staff is very caring and helpful. They had activities like shopping trips to different places, they have people coming in, they have pedicures for all the patients, card games, they watch TV, and they sing songs. They also have cookouts outside and lots of different things to do. We have seen the menus and they're very good. They have an excellent chef, they get a choice for their meals and they have a two hour timeframe to eat. There are also certain snacks and food served all day that they're welcome to eat. My relative's room there is kept very clean. They also have a library, an activities room, a workout room, a big sun porch facing the light, and they have covered pavillions outside with good seating. And they're safe, even for people who use walkers or crutches.

Brookdale Lake Wellington, formally Horizon Bay Retirement Community, is such a phenomenal place to place your loved one. The "homey" feeling you get when you walk in the front door is so welcoming. Definitely a place to consider for your home away from home.

My Mom has lived at Brookdale Lake Wellington for 3 1/2 years. When looking for a place for her to live, I went to every facility in town. I always ended up back at Brookdale. And I have not been disappointed. The staff is helpful and friendly and the residents are friendly. Although Mom had not wanted to leave her home, she has met many friends and is happy to be there.

I love so much about this place. My Mom has been living there for almost a year now. From the welcome greeting you get from the Front Desk, to the wonderful nurses that work there I never worry about my Mom. Also when coming for the first time and meeting with Ginger, Katrina and others, they answered all my questions. My Mom was very worried when she had to move there, but is so happy now. This eases my mind so much and I don't worry at all about her. And the food is good too!! Put your loved one here, I promise you won't regret your decision.

When moving my grandmother in to assisted living, I wouldn't pick anywhere else! The people were so kind and helpful and made sure I had all the information I needed without anything hidden! She has loved living there and they've been a true blessing to our family!

Everything at Horizon Bay was very lovely; the people were very friendly, kind, nice, and helpful. My wife loves it. The food was delicious; the fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and gravy were very good. The place was very bright and clean.

I like the way Horizon Bay looked, but it really wasn't what my mother needed. The rooms were fine. We haven't experienced Horizon Bay; it looked like a really nice place, but for us, it just wouldn't work for Mom.

My Grandmother lived here for a couple of years. Her apartment was a nice, small, one bedroom with a living area and kitchen. Her apartment was on the backside of the building and had a lovely view of a small lake, Lake Wellington. She enjoyed watching people play in the lake and watching the ducks. The building was newly built so everything looked clean and new. They had an area for the residents to meet and play games. They had different activities that the residents could join. I do not remember having any problems with the staff. I remember them as all being very nice and helpful. They provided a shuttle bus for all the residents and would schedule times with doctors or shopping trips to help those who could not drive themselves. Overall, I felt good with my grandmother living here. I do not remember having any problems with the facility or the staff and I believe my grandmother enjoyed her time there.
