I highly recommend The Village at the Woodlands Waterway! After researching, reviewing, and then finally conducting site visits across multiple locations, my family and I chose The Village for my father to downsize and move into. The Village and its parent company, LCS, have received multiple customer satisfaction awards over the past several years”and I can clearly see why! Honestly, despite the awesome location (right in the center of The Woodlands Township), cleanliness, and available amenities (including the property’s own access to the Woodlands Waterway!), it really is the PEOPLE that make the difference! And, while everyone was fantastic, I do have to recognize the Director of Sales and Marketing, Christin Teter, who absolutely wowed my family and I during our tour. See, during casual conversation I had mentioned that my father’s birthday was going to be the day of our tour, and Christin remembered that and had an entire staff special welcome for us all!”complete with a special birthday message board, a cake, and a sweet card! Literally the staff formed two lines and created a special birthday walkthrough entrance for him while simultaneously singing happy birthday! I hadn’t seen my dad smile that big in a long time! Also, Christin ensured that the executive chef gave him a tour (my dad loves to cook and considered himself somewhat of a unique foodie) of the kitchen and herb garden! Obviously we were sold and decided to choose the Village! Of note, despite the premium facilities and amenities, the pricing was very reasonable! Christin ensured that my dad was checked on periodically and helped to make him feel at home. Finally, and unfortunately, after my dad had moved in and lived happily there for a little of a year, he sadly passed. But during the whole ordeal and after, Christin and the entire Village team did a wonderful job in keeping in contact and checking on me. They worked with me on letting me move stuff at my own pace, and continued to be supportive. Again, from the bottom of my heart, I just want to give a shout out to Christin again for helping my dad have an enjoyable and happy stay, and I thank every single member of the staff”from the kitchen to the housekeepers to the maintenance to the front desk to the valet”THANK YOU!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Christin T. and the help she has given me in transitioning my mom to independent living! During the initial tour she spent plenty of time with my 77 yr old mom to answer her questions, never making her feel rushed to make any quick decisions about leaving her home of 43 years, and understanding she could make the decision whenever she was ready and just let her know. Zero pressure at all. I had been trying for several years to get my mom closer, as she’s alone now that my dad passed, with no luck. Christin had a way of making her feel so at home during our tour and explaining every little thing she wanted to know! My mom was so comfortable with her and the Village tour that she finally started thinking about it and decided to do it 6 months later! I couldn’t believe it! I’m certain I couldn’t have done it without Christin and her calm and caring ways! The Village on the Waterway was our answer to prayers! They offer everything we need for our Mom/ MIL for memory care. Each person we interacted with was cheerful, reassuring and honest. The cost is fair and the place is gorgeous! Incredible views from her suite, dining room and a beautiful porch with rocking chairs that overlooks the waterway! Did I mention that the residents all tell us the food is delicious! Just like going to a restaurant for 3 meals a day. BUT the best part of The Village is the staff! The caregivers are professional, kind, compassionate, loving, and so much more. We keep a camera in her room and are amazed at the respect they give their residents. Our Mom/MIL is well cared for. They welcome visitors of all ages. And the cherry on top is Adele who is the memory care director. She is available, especially when you are newbies and filled with questions and concerns. She is a gentle spirit, kind, compassionate, knowledgeable and always confident that her staff can handle any situation. Did I say she is like a mama bear confident that all her residents are well cared for physically, socially and emotionally. Shout out to General, the Asst. Director of health services! He has made our Mom/MIL feel so welcome and introduced her to friends. His office is always open and she likes to go by and say hi. While no community is the perfect fit for every person, I was impressed with the thoughtful, resident-centered approach Alicia Bowling took with a recent client. What stood out to me most was the way Alicia spoke directly to my client with genuine care and respect. The staff are so willing to go above and beyond. Mom has been in independent living for almost 6 months and just moved into a larger unit as there was not one available when she initially moved in. Alicia was so great at keeping mom informed as to when something was coming as well as myself. We have started looking for a senior living facility in the event we have gotten to the point where we simply can't stay in our house since I no longer am able to do the simplest things around the house to keep it going and, most importantly, I am at losing my mobility to the point where I may soon have to be in a wheelchair. We decided to check out The Village and were met by Alicia Bowling, one of their sales representatives. Alicia gave us a tour of the facility and also an explanation of the services and amenities provided. She was most attentive and patient with us as we asked her all sorts of questions dealing with food to fire drills. She also followed up quickly with any follow up questions and requests that I had after our get together. In short, Alicia was just great in trying to make us comfortable with making a huge change of going from a house to an apartment at The Village. She was knowledgeable and pleasant. Caring for our family members is the most important responsibility we all have. When we find ourselves in need of assistance in this regard, we face one of life’s most significant set of challenges. How to find others who will care for them as their own. Others who will come along side of the family, as family. Gratefully, when we recently found ourselves in this situation, the Village at the Woodlands Waterway has been magnificent. In a community of outstanding service, with care from all departments demonstrating people at their best, one group has truly made the transition a joyous daily celebration. Food is a necessity of life, but food done well is life at its best! The culinary department led by Mr. Justin Whited has been exceptional. The volume of daily options provided three times a day, seven days a week, with meals that make a person feel as though they are at their own mother’s kitchen table is amazing. The dining room experience compares with the fine dining experiences offered in the finest restaurants in our area. This reflects the personal care the culinary department provides for all residents. For residents with physical disabilities these caring folks bring the fine dining experience to them in their room with a friendly touch that adds butter to everyone’s bread! We are so grateful to everyone at the Village at the Woodlands Waterway, and we wanted to personally thank the entire community of hard-working individuals who treat our family as family. My family member was a resident for over three years. The last six months was on memory care floor. The first part was 2 1/2 years on assisted living. The staff was extremely instrumental help to navigate many of the issues that arise with declining mobility and mental acuity. The decision to move my parent to another facility was only to be closer to the large family that lived out of state. Adele was a caring, approachable resource who I could count on from day one. She was patient, really came to know my parent, and helped me to accept the benefit of moving to memory care. The nurses and the aids were professional and helpful, and my parent came to love them as family. Teresa was compassionate and engaging and always eager to learn and care for each resident as if they were her family on memory care. Adele and Teresa would lead meetings with family members to see how they could better meet the needs of all. Their warmth and listening helped the family engage with connecting with all memory care residents along side the staff. I was most impressed with the ongoing visiting guests and activities they provided that was based on the newest information on growing population with dementia we are facing in the country. Upon leaving, Katie and all of the nurses facilitated the process and did so with patience, prayers and hope.

My mom works at The Village and while our power at home has been out due to the storm the staff has been very accommodating! They’ve allowed me to come work on school work so that I don’t fall behind in classes. Everyone from the kitchen to front staff have been incredibly kind and welcoming.

The dining hall on the fourth and fifth are amazing I really enjoy how faith one of the workers is fast and very nice and she’s always smiling and the soups are very hot and the plates are hot I enjoy but they could use some salt that actually comes out of the salt shaker

My mother loves her staff but what assisted living center doesn't know to check their generators the day before a hurricane landfall. My mother is there without power for her hospital bed or cpap. They are telling her that there is no gas for the generator. Really?

My mother has been at the Village At The Woodlands Waterway for almost 12 years from assisted-living to now memory care. I have seen different management companies and different Directors and I must say that the latest iteration has been the best management company and team to date In particular, the memory care unit has improved dramatically with the addition of Adel a long time employee who has her heart and her hard work in the right place It’s important to be involved in the community as a family member as there are always areas to improve no matter where or what facility your loved one may be in. Managment listens and I appreciate that. The culture of the organization is extremely important A culture that instills a level of care that goes just beyond a job as you’re dealing with real people, in their homes that need assistance/help and in the end are customers that pay for their services is critical to the success. It has been heartwarming to see the care and love that is given to my mother and the other residents. I appreciate the hard work of the staff and the caregivers. But in oponion after having seen good and bad operations over the years that the culture starts from the top and permeates down through organization, but it really needs to work backwards from the resident to fully understand what they need to live out the lives in comfort and peace. Many of the residents have had wonderful life experiences - from Executives to spouses, to a life of adventure, international travel, hardships, triumphs, families and in the end are just trying to have a peaceful life. The residents have so much to offer, and sometimes we forget that no matter what state physically or mentally they may be; they have a story to share and when staff engages it creates a whole culture of care, empathy and nurturing that is heartwarming to watch and observe. It takes special people to be working in this type of environment and I appreciate the caregivers immensely and the team that supports them. Thank you Erik

My dad has lived at The Village the Waterway for about 4 months. During that time, he has enjoyed 3 meals a day, daily social hour and day trips. As his family, we are thrilled that he has acclimated well to his beautiful and spacious apartment and surroundings. What seemed like a hopeless journey and being unimpressed with one memory care facility after another, we finally came across The Village at the Woodlands Waterway for a memory care facility for our mother. Working with Christin and Candice to place our mom in good hands was simple, easy and either one of them was always available to speak. Even during the weekend, my questions were immediately answered. Working with the team at The Village they tailored the care around my mother’s needs with care, compassion and understanding. Any of the other facilities we toured, the food was worse than a school cafeteria, and was a basic thrown together mass cooking. The Village had incredible food, and put thought into the dishes they served. They also accommodated the numerous dietary restrictions we presented. With our mother being there for over 3 months now, we could not be more impressed with the care provided, the level of service exemplified by Christin and Candice and the overall cleanliness of the building.
