My husband transfered from the hospital to the Meridian in Temple. Our insurance gave us a choice of 10 facilities to choose from. I'm so glad we came to the Meridian. The nurses are wonderful. They made sure they understood my husband's medication needs and contacted one of the doctors for clarification. I have every confidence in the staff who are friendly and available. The reasons i didn't give five stars is for the noise level. The patient across the hall had their tv volume up so loud that i closed our room's door. But everytime an aid came in the room, they left the door open. The nurse gave me a piece of paper and marker to write a reminder note, which does help. We love our nurses and staff! 🙂 The other reason is for the hair dresser/ salon. When hours are posted, someone should be there. Also, even though there is a long and impressive list of services, the hairdresser refused giving my husband a pedicure as she's "not good with that." Also, go somewhere else for haircuts. That was the worst haircut I've ever seen. I felt so bad for my husband! It wasn't a haircut but a chop job. 🙁

We chose Morada for my very social father-in-law because they have multiple activities every day of the week and the other residents are so warm & welcoming. Ashley the director has been so helpful throughout the moving process and beyond, she truly cares about the residents and it shows in her relationship with each and every one of them. Morada has the biggest floorplans and the most affordable rates, but the people and the service is what really made the decision for choosing an assisted living center an easy one.

The food is wonderful - especially thanks to Chef Hollywood! Tasty and creative menus, with special events and cookouts. He’s always willing to listen and open to suggestions, and he’s passionate about his craft!

My loved one had excellent care at skilled nursing/nursing home . Had same nursing staff the whole time.

I am a caregiver with Visiting Angels and over the past few years had the pleasure of caring for a few clients in different parts of the Morada facility. On August 1st my long time client was temporarily staying in the Special Care Unit before finally getting transferred home to spend his final days. The level of care he received during his stay in that wing was amazing, he had such a beautiful room, caring staff and housekeeping, absolutely delicious meals just a very amazing experience. Thank you ’•

Mom stayed here a week recovering from a UTI, we had to come get her because she wasn’t improving, mind you she has delirium that was still present from the UTI and she also has schizophrenia, but we figured we could do home rehab. Arrived to get her and she almost fell getting into the car and she was visibly out of it and not well, nearly fell again getting her into the house and I called the paramedics because she was not ok and they arrived and she had a really low blood pressure and was dehydrated which is crazy for them to overlook. She stayed at the hospital for two weeks and was diagnosed with COPD, is now recovering much better at another facility. Would not recommend this facility for elderly rehab, gave two stars because the facilities were nice.

The staff members treat me like their friend. The residents are my family. I have a say about what food is served, yes we have a chef prepared meal three times a day. Private swimming pool, recreation facilities, exercise room, and access to an on site physician that is second to none. The doctor cares more about me than I do. Finally we have a Director of Celebrations. His team is amazing and keep us going with off site trips, a daily radio show that keeps us informed, internationally famous entertainment, and a plethora of events. For example: pool parties with a live, in the pool mermaid. All of this is lead by an Executive Director that genuinely cares about me. I've just been year about a year and a half but I love.it. If you don't love it here its your fault. Come join our family.

A+ rating in my families book. Moved my Mother In Law into Morada Senior Living Jun 2022, after 2 years she decided she wanted to come live with myself and her son. So, she made the move in Jun 2024. After only 10 days, yes 10 days, she decided she missed Morada and everything they have to offer. So we moved her back. She enjoys the friendly caring staff, friends she made and enjoys the weekly entertainment and Movies. She really enjoys playing Bingo 2 to 3 a week and looks forward to Church on Sunday. If you’re looking for a safe senior living environment, highly recommend you tour Morada! Morada staff is very caring and easy to work with. Thanks Morada!

What a wonderful community, very friendly staff and apartments are nice with big windows. Feels like a normal apartment complex and not a nursing home. The director is fantastic, residents seem to like him and the food is not bad either which is a surprise. Great tour and will be referring.

Our Mother has been at the Morada Medical Center for full skilled care for over a year. It is a hard thing to go thru but the staff at Morada Medical Center have helped us all the way thru this journey. Thankful for the staff because we know she is being fully taking care of and we have comfort in that. They are diligent in calling when changes in her condition change and they have nursed her back with just personal care at times when we were not sure she would make it. Morada Medical Center staff are her family and ours as well. And Morada was really remodeled and upgraded the facility so it is nice for her visitors. I highly recommend Morada Medical Center to take care of your loved one.

From where my mom was at to this place is night and day difference. The staff seem quite friendly when we were there to visit. They have a nice 2 bedroom apartment, affordable, on site that is perfect for us to stay since we are coming from out of state, it includes the meals. The food tasted better than expected for the number of people they cook for.

Use to be the Meridian but now the Morada. Had family member stay for a 2 week rehabilitation. From the day 1, she was taken care of. Physical therapy was fantastic. All staff that was involved in her rehab and recuperation were there to assist in every way. Was only in the recreation area where they use as rehab. This whole area is huge. 5 rating is great. A good place to go if you are needing rehab

Morada Temple has proven to be a safe abs secure home for me. Having the availability of my primary physician on site is a wonderful benefit.

The Morada takes amazing care of my mother in love!
February 2022
My husband entered Morada's Health Care Dec.4, 2021. The staff is very friendly and busy. So there were times when he had to wait to be cleaned up. The physical therapy was good although less than what he would get in an acute PT facility. Mid-December, we were notified that a staff member tested positive for Covid. And a few days later another staffer came up positive. On Jan. 1, 2022, my husband was sent to the hospital because he was having trouble breathing. The hospital found him Covid positive! My son, daughter-in-law, and I have all tested and are negative. Other than staff, we were the only visitors he had. When the hospital wanted to return him to Morada, Morada's doctor said no as they are 100 percent Covid free. The next day we received a notification that Morada has 2 more staffers who tested Covid positive. That said, Morada's staff was friendly and attentive. The place rarely smelled foul as diapers were bagged and disposed of immediately. The food was good, hot and plentiful. It's a nice nursing facility, just not good for rehab.
November 2021
PT is great. But try and ask a question and get an answer without the rest of them being offended you ask, forget about it. They are handy with all kinds of excuses. As a matter of fact, that is almost all you will ever get, a lame excuse. Not pleased with some of the blas© way some of the care givers are.

My sister and I were quite surprised when our mother, who was living in an Assistant Living facility, had to be admitted into Scott and White Hospital. She stayed in the hospital about a week and was so confused because of being so isolated from people because of the Covid-19 virus. We found and read about the Meridian. I went over and spoke to them about mom living there after weeks in their rehab facility. They told me that they have a program called the Ambassador Program. This is still an assisted living with Extra skilled nursing care. You know when you are thrown into these big decisions that come up out of the blue you always take a chance. The Meridian was the first stop we made and it was our only stop. I met with one of the directors of admission and she was an absolute doll. She gave me info to go home and take to my sister so we could talk about it. The last few days of my mother’s visit in the hospital was when it all happened. We spoke mostly on the phone and the staff is unbelievably understanding. It took us no time to decide this is where we wanted our mother to live and be taken care of. As of then, mom got out of rehab and has moved in her new apartment. She is getting all kinds of extra help with dressing, showering, meals, meeting neighbors and she is still able to receive out patient physical therapy and occupational therapy. We are so happy that everything has worked out for the best for our mother. If you find yourself in this type of situation you should give Meridian a call. They are the kindest people that really want to help families who are desperately trying to find an answer for their elderly parents. Thank you Meridian!!!!!

The Meridian of Temple is a great place for my dad. My dad's best interest is without question their top priority. They are attentive to his needs and I can rely on them to care him. Everyone is friendly and eager to help in any way.
June 2020
The staff is always friendly, healpful and professional. Its also nice to see a clean facility that is pleasant and doesn’t smell like a nursing home . I have seen administrative staff assist with residents and that is also nice to see. Most administrative staff is never to be seen, in an office somewhere behind closed doors, but not these folks! They are easily accessible and always ready to assist thier guest, families and or residents.

Our mom moved into the Meridian of Temple last year. What a wonderful place if you're looking for a retirement community. It is independent living. The apartments are beautiful and you can decorate any way you'd like. If you don't want to drive, there is a van for shopping, they'll take you anywhere. The people who work there are so kind, helpful, and respectful. During these past few months of COVID the staff has made sure all residents are protected while allowing their family to see them via portico, glass in between, phone visits, and recently Zoom or fb interaction. I would recommend The Meridian of Temple Retirement Community.

Nurses and caregivers in the Health Center were really good about taking care of my mother and her needs. The front office is a different story. Even after notifying them that my mom would be moving out in early March, and that I would swrite a check for the two days in March that she would be there, they drafted her checking account for the whole month of March, $8000+ . After two days off phone calls, I find that The refund wont b e processed for 1-2 weeks. Hence, the average rating of 3“5 for the ladies and men in the Health Center and 1 for the front office.

My daughter researched and selected Brookdale Meridian after I had a stroke. She made a terrific choice. The staff was so helpful and kind. The food was very good and I actually gained weight! The therapy staff was excellent. I had 3 hrs of therapy every day. Both the staff and I worked hard and as a result I was able to return home in 3 weeks. If I have another episode I would want to return to the Meridian.

My mother recently stayed here for 2 months. We were very please with care. Everyone was very caring and loving. All the nurses were very patient and caring. We would not hesitate to go back, if we ever need to again. Pam, her nurse, was especially good and my mother became quite fond of her. She will be missed. Wonderful experience!

My grandmother was here for physical rehab after she broke her hip, and now has recovered well thanks to the kind and patient staff. Thank you to Angela Wardale for being such a wonderful help in making the transition and stay so comfortable for her. Thank you for caring so much and taking time out and checking up on her. Our family is truly grateful.

Amazing place, amazing nurses and staff! After getting my father-in-law out of Wellington (stay away from there!) in just a week there is a difference. They are not over-medicating, the nurses ensure continuity of care throughout shifts, and they are proactive about the plans and care that meet the patient's health needs. Very impressed.

Excellent physical and occupational therapy. treatment center. Care and treatments are very individualized including great communication...makes client feel special and cared about. I will return again, if I ever need In house physical and/or occupational therapy.
