Good place to work…
July 2024
Sent my dad there for respite 5 nights, which we will never use your facility again. I was told that the hospice nurse came to bath him twice from S&W Hospice and reported that the ist bathing was okay but the 2nd bath was the day he came back home and that it appears that the facility had never change him in between or even cleaned him at all. My dad is incontinent and appeared to have laid in a soiled diaper for 5 days. Dad was very unhappy with the stay other than the food. For some reason they told the ambulance attndances that he was a regular patient there only for therapy. Thankfully they knew better from previous transports. Which you staff was wrong he's hospice patient, incontinent, bed ridden sent for respite. NOT THERE FOR THERAPY.

I needed Physical Therapy before I could go home from the hospital! I had a case worker from Scott & White make the arrangements. My first night they didn't have any of my medications. My pain was excruciating! It was truly inhumane! Most of the staff is by an agency. Very few Westin employees! The nurses that I had were non compassionate and very rude! They provide 1 aid at night for 2 wings. Impossible to handle that many patients! Inadequate care on so many levels! I had to ask about a bath and also my bed linens and trash! I had Scheduled meds and during the day was okay, but at night it was very inconsistent! I found the 1 nurse on the entire property sleeping in a room behind the nurses station. I was beyond Scared. I reported all of these things and was told they are aware of these issues and are trying to staff their facility! In the meanwhile it was nothing short of gross negligence! I left before I could get the full advantage of physical therapy! I am telling you the truth and it's very scary to think that there are many people that can't advocate for themselves! The aides do what they can, but are overworked and extremely underpaid! Please don't make the same mistake I did! If you love yourself or family member, don't send them there! The care, or lack of is horrible! My hope And prayer is that they get shut down for not providing adequate care for their patients!!! It was a nightmare for sure!

My sister was at Weston for several weeks before she moved to be with family before Christmas. We visited her there a few times, and were impressed with the quality of care from the staff. Anytime she needed something, someone appeared to help. The facility is lovely, very clean, and has multiple spaces for family visits, etc. We had a going-away luncheon there in December, and were given a lovely private dining area for our family. We were impressed with the responsiveness of the staff. It was not an easy time for my sister, and she was occasionally grumpy, but her caretakers were kind and caring. Thanks to Weston for her care.

My mother-in-law was at Weston Inn for therapy and then transitioned to LTC till we could move her to South Texas. My mother-in-law was well taken care of. The D.O.N, Karen was always on top of her care along with checking on all the other patients. Every department was attentive to her needs. The nursing staff was great in getting to know her, and all her different needs and wants. She has dementia and cannot remember a whole lot, but since moving her to south texas, she still remembers Weston Inn, how nice she was treated, and definitely remembers her favorite night shift CNA. As a side note, it's also a great place to work, you won't find a better D.O.N to work with than Karen.

My mama has been in several other nursing homes. She was moved for various reasons from each one she was in previously. But I believe that we have FINALLY found the best place for my mama. The nurses and aides m, as well as the D.O.N. in my opinion are absolutely wonderful. Therapy is wonderful as well. So thankful she has found her home. Now, I am not saying that there aren't some negatives. But this place surely is better than all of the previous nursing homes.

The checking up on patients is poorly done, 45 min.to an hour after the call light has been pull. Changing of patients briefs take awhile also patient usually in up wetting them selves.

First of all so you know my profession is being a Quality Management for numerous companies. This facility is capable of being at its best. The financial department, nurses and physical therapists are what are carrying this place. There where some neglect to the point of life and death due to upper management for instance Michelle social worker and Dan the administration are terrible at communicating even when they've been called out no remorse or explanation for the neglect that was happening especially when their own staff have express concerns which went on for weeks. I even had the caseworker Michelle who is lack of being a professional at her job by being blunt about how she had spring break to attend before getting with the family about administration and what the facility expected and this is four weeks since the patient has been admitted to the facility and then she hits me with an attitude how she has so many days to inform the family. Showed at the meeting she got called out to where an employee from this facility who attended the meeting had to place an arm on the caseworker Michelle that this is not professional and they the facility don't talk to family members that way. Patient had a vac disconnected from the patient due to malfunctioning of the machine which was told numerous times and finally approached the administration Dan and met with sarcasm and let me explain the vac machine is a crucial machinery that keeps the patients wound from being infected. You wanna tell me why they decided seeing it's malfunctioning just disconnect the machine wrap the cord around the unit and set it in the wheelchair next to the patients bed. For a whole week she was not hooked up. Didn't take her a bath for a week. Which once we called the out they started to give the patient a bath which concerned me because talking to their wound doctor he got upset and explained the lack of communication that he specifically told and put in the chart that she was to be having a sponge bath not a bath seeing the wound that was being attended to could get infected. After informing the facility they still provided the patient with a bath. This place needs an overhaul on its case management and manager and the administration Dan. I will be getting back with more info about this facility. But so you know. If you care about your loved ones be sure to stay involved. They don't like family members who actually take time and make sure family members are treated appropriately not a processed body they can benefit financially. LA Quality Management Meanwhile with a sassy response they will call CPS on you with a smile. So let it begin. Nervous are we. Let's get legal. Remember I have testimony from the staff and documentation on everything.

Excellent staff! Rehabilitation staff top notch. All staff members understand the needs of all the patients. Poor medical prescription system. My mother who is a 100 years old was taken off one of her meds. I signed the form for Westin Inn to take care of her medically. I was never informed that the medication was being stopped. Upon stopping some medications there is a slowing down of the medication instead of an abrupt stop. Again I was not informed.

Visiting a old friend of mine and was amazed. A facility that is beautiful. Now add great staffing that really cares about the people that are living there and depending on services from the high prices you pay, you would have a great facility. Sorry to say that this is not one of them. s down. We need to respect our elders.

I came in with a friend to visit her mother and I must say Im very impressed with this facility! The exterior is amazing and the interior is just as great. Its very clean and doesnt have that nursing home smell. The staff greeted us with smiles and the residents looked clean and content.
