The Reserve at First Colony – Reviews
April 2023
I toured this community recently and was immediately impressed by the friendly and smiling staff, the residents looked happy and well cared for, and the initial feeling throughout the tour was so very welcoming! Crystalyn was professional and knowledgeable and provided all the information I was looking for and more.

Crystalyn was phenomenal! My father and I went to visit her "just looking" but almost moved me and him in haha. Very professional, courteous and really cares about the residents. Highly recommend her and her facility.

It was a pleasure meeting Crystalyn Fontenette at The Reserve at First Colony. She is professional, compassionate and lovely to interact with. I visited the facility yesterday, met with the receptionist and ED, who welcomed me and provided me with all the info I needed. The facility is clean and the residents looked happy. Good job Crystalyn!

The building was very clean. The resident seems to be very taking care of and happy. It has such a nice clean smell and the stuff was so kind and gentle with the residents and visitors. I would rate this a ten star instead of five5 yes 5.

I enjoyed working as a Physical Therapist in this beautiful community. The residents are like my FAMILY. The Staff and Caregivers here are dedicated, passionate, and highly qualified -makes a huge difference in the life of a person who calls this community their home!
October 2020
My mother has been at Colonial Oaks First Colony for 4-12 years. The accommodations, care, love, activities and food are way above average; I never worry! She recently broke her arm and after surgery was temporarily sent to a skilled nursing rehab facility where the care was unacceptable. The Colonial Oaks director assured us they could take care of all her needs (including therapy) there. We immediately moved mom back to her home there and she bounced back quickly. They truly know and care for the residents and there is very little turn over; wonderful staff!

I am so thankful that a friend told me about Colonial Oaks at First Colony when I had to find help and support for my father. My friends mother lived there for years and was very happy so I stopped in to see what kind of place it was.The decor is very nice but what interested me the most was the experience of the management team. Clarissa and Kim have been there for around 15 years and they reassured me they would be there for me and my father to help with transitioning him from his home to a new facility. The transition took a couple of months but when I call or visit him now he is never in his room alone. He is either on the bus going somewhere, enjoying live entertainment, walking in the courtyards or visiting with his new friends!I recommend Colonial Oaks to any family because of the excellent care and respect they give my father.Pam W...grateful daughter
