I miss living here and all the nice people here. I remember having coffee and donuts in the morning. We also use to have dog walks. Good place. Marianne Malone that works in the office is very nice and helpful. If your trying to move here, get her as your helper to fill out paper.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The recently remodeled apartments look great, as does the community center. They also have a theater, a fitness center, and a large laundry room. I love the security, too. There are cameras and building access only with a key fob. Elevators in each building are also a plus.

Loving it! Quiet, safe well kept.

Oh hogwash. Some of the reviews are totally designed to be destructive! I've lived here for eight years and love the 'new management ' and the renovation. It's not 55 and over..it's 18 and over but you must have a verifiable disability. It's the residents in most cases that pose the problems here..not the management or maintenance staff. Boo hoo, they can't smoke in their apartment and destroy the lovely new renovation and stink the building up . Newsflash! None of the apartment complexes, including the expensive non-Section 8 places, allow smoking in the apartments ! I have had zero issues with maintenance requests. I obey the community guidelines and mind my business. The managers are responsive and fair, and strive to solve problems. No seniors have been abused here. Take that garbage with a grain of salt.

THIS IS A LONG REVIEW. PLEASE READ TO THE END. These are HUD apartments for 55+ and disabled. Keep in mind disabilities include the mentally ill. There are no special services offered i.e. on-site counselor, no on-site medical for the most basic of medical needs. Yes, we are an independent living community. That being said, so many of us would benefit from a little extra help that doesn't involve anything too extensive. There's someone who uses the Crafts room for advising/selling insurance. Why not an office for mental health? An office for basic medical assistance? This could be as simple as an assessment to give info/options. It is so difficult once we depend on medicare/medicaid/retirement. It's exhausting finding the help we need. Spacious definitely isn't how I would describe these apartments. There is no storage available on the property. There are no engaging activities. The community bldg isn't large enough to fit all the residents of one bldg & there are eight bldgs here. No signage to direct visitors/deliveries/EMS, etc.to correct entrance. Lights over the mail boxes were out for months. That wasn't corrected until HUD was going to do on-site inspections. One of the lights in my bldg's parking lot has been out for months. All the lights one one side of the property's parking lots go out & it is VERY dark in those areas. Dangerous. It takes days when we're lucky & weeks when not, for them to come back on. Branches literally broke overhead when I was sitting in the parking lot & I was hit on the head. I reported it & received no response, what's worse is that the plethora of trees need trimming & I doubt it will be done unless someone is hurt & threatens legal action. The staff? I defer to an old song called "smiling faces". They even smile while being condescending & rude. There are a few who are cool, so it's not everyone. The Social Coordinator's duties are unclear to me since the title doesn't indicate being involved in areas that don't include social activities/social services here. There is no recycling. This is a Senior Community, yet in leau of the respect we should receive as Senior Citizens, we are often spoken to & treated like children. The rumor mill is vicious. One MIGHT come out unscathed were he/she a recluse. There is no covered area for smokers. No seating for smokers. Verbally we are told where smoking is permitted, while being told in writing there is no smoking allowed in the community. We are told we are subject to immediate eviction for breaking the house rules". Wonder how it feels to keep old folks in a constant state of anxiety being worried about not having a place to live on any given day. Seems some have to follow the rules to the letter while others don't. It makes me especially sad for those who don't or can't stand up for themselves and don't have anyone to do so on their behalf. I've recently been told there are rats in some buildings. Roaches are becoming increasingly common. There is one small, expensive laundry room for all eight buildings, where machines are often out of order. This placed was renovated approximately a year ago. It's not evidenced by the way things are. New appliances are breaking. Shoddy work can be seen in every room from floor to ceiling. The water pressure isn't good, but the water does get nice & hot! We enter our own bldg with a key FOB. This should give us a sense of security; however, some doors can be opened easily without gaining access properly. Thank you for taking time to read to the end. I could go on, but I believe I've said enough to give one pause before signing a lease without careful consideration & research. Please view the apartment you will actually be living before committing yourself . Oh! An add photos option! I would, but already have anxiety of repercussions regarding my being outspoken in my review.

A very quiet residential apartments for more mature elder adults. My Mother just got her new apartment there and she loves it! She chose the elevator while I prefer to take the stairs. Either way, easy access and quiet living quarters.
