I have been working with Heritage for a little over 2 years now. We operate a Non-Emergency Transportation Service through there. (AFTASS-Melissa Brown). From the first time and each time after that, the staff has always been amazing. Even though we are not part of the staff, they have treated us with the utmost respect each and every time. I have had the opportunity to work with Amanda Couve and CeeCee the entire time, they have been nothing short of Amazing. Normally the first face you see when you walk in is Joanne, since we have developed a sister and brother style relationship, she will greet me with what do you want? Then we continue to discuss my visit. I don't have relatives there, but I have had the pleasure of meeting so many of the residents there. Every employee that is there has been professionally and properly trained and are outstanding in every way. They operate as a well oiled family there, being lead by the owners Father Peter and Mother Christina. The staff from the top to the lowest employee have always been great in every way. If you are looking for a top notch assisted living facility for a family or a loved one, please do yourself a favor and check this place out. Over the years I have been to many facilities to include ones for my parents, and this is the type of place I would have loved for them to be if they were in the area. You can visit at any time and you will always be treated and greeted with smile, warm hellos, and just a great impression each and every time. I commend the leaders and owners for having such an amazing staff. Some things that sets this place above others is the love and compassion they have for what they do. They treat the residents like a loved family member. Something else that sets this place above others is the amount of staff they have at all times. The staff operates as a team and they work well together. When one needs assistance, anyone will step in to lend a hand from the owners to the leaders. I took this time to write this, because this place doesn't get the recognition it deserves. To the owners and staff at Heritage Assisted Living, you guys are amazing. My dad is living there. He doesn't hand out compliments easily. The staff, all the staff treat everyone with love and compassion. I've seen it forrest hand. I feel a great deal of comfort knowing he's well taken care of. The food they serve is excellent. They mix it up so they don't eat the same things week to week. They're food is amazing! I eat there when I come to visit and have not been disappointed once. The owners and their children play an active role with the residents and is obvious how much they love and care for them.

This is home away from home for my husband. I transferred him here after 4 years from a different facility where we experienced sub standard care. First thing that stood out is the cleanliness of this facility, whose appearance is more like a resort than an institution. The love the staffers provide these residents is extraordinary. Anyone can be found taking care of the residents, from the owners, directors etc. The food is real food, not pre frozen and re heated like other facilities. Mostly they are properly staffed in order to be able to tend to anyone’s needs. Our family is grateful for such a safe, loving place. Thank you!!!!

My father has been living at Heritage Creek, and I truly can’t say enough positive things about the experience. From the very beginning, we’ve felt confident that he is in a safe, caring, and supportive environment. The facility itself is always clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. One of the biggest surprises has been the food ” it’s absolutely incredible. The meals are not only nutritious but also genuinely enjoyable, which has made such a difference in my father’s daily life. I especially want to recognize Amanda Couve, the director. She has done an outstanding job taking care of my father and making sure he has everything he needs. Amanda is attentive, compassionate, and incredibly responsive. It’s clear she truly cares about the residents and their families. Knowing she is there gives me tremendous peace of mind. I am so grateful for the team at Heritage Creek and the exceptional leadership Amanda provides. I would highly recommend this community to anyone looking for quality assisted living for their loved one.

My mother has memory issues, and Heritage Creek has been a blessing for her. She was very resistant at first, but has blossomed in their care. The staff are very caring, and really remember many details about the residents. We even were given the cell phone numbers of the director and manager to contact with any concerns, and they respond very quickly regardless of the time of day. The food is spectacular - far better variety than you would expect in an assisted living facility. They also cater to her tastes and allow her to choose items off menu if she is feeling particular. The center is very clean, with cleaners working all day and laundry running day and night. There is not an unpleasant odor that seems to permeate other nursing homes. The activities have really helped Mom’s attitude. She’s social again, which we haven’t seen in many years. They also have different forms of therapy to assist those with memory issues, and on site physical therapy. Heritage Creek was a recommendation from an independent living facility for my mom. It has truly been a wonderful fit for her, and a huge relief for her family to know she is in such good hands. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for that next level of care for a loved one.

The staff there is dedicated to ensuring that the residents receive the best care possible and their facilities deliver. Zoraida Basuel the activities coordinator and on staff counselor creates fun and engaging activities for the residents to participate in such as Bunco, bingo, bowling, and mobility activities that help to strengthen motor and gross movement ability. They even offer a church service with hymns and preachings tailored for the older members, inviting spiritual peace as well as a stable routine.

Let me begin my review by letting you know that we have been there for quite some time now. I researched other facilities before I was led to this one. The care that they provide my family member is excellent. The family that owns it spends as much time there, if not more, along with the staff doing day to day work (cleaning, feeding, caring for the residents). The director is compassionate, knowledgeable, and will go above and beyond to make sure the resident is getting the correct care (she is a gem). The lines of communication are always open which provides great assurance and comfort as we work together to maintain my family members optimal care. The chefs make tremendous effort in preparing nutritious and delicious meals for the residents (even to the smallest detail like presentation).They make time to talk to the resident as well. The facility itself is beautiful, clean, and well maintained inside and out. The resident rooms are large. I have had many family members visit and everyone is impressed by it and the kindness they are shown. There are activities planned for the residents as a group weekly. The good people there are a treasure. Speaking from personal experience, Heritage Creek has been a blessing to me and my family.

This is by far the BEST & CLEANEST nursing home facility I’ve ever seen!!! My wife and I were looking for a facility to place my mom for nursing care. We looked at about 15 nursing facilities all over San Antonio. We stopped looking once we found Heritage Creek. The moment we walked it, we were like, WOW!!!..this place is beautiful!! It looked cleaned and smelled clean and beautiful inside. This is by far the most beautiful facility I’ve ever seen, even compared to the nursing facilities in Stone Oak and around the Dominion. We decided that this is the place for Mom. The owners are amazing and super nice. I like that they both work onsite and are involved in caring for their residents. Thank you for caring for my mom! Keep up the good work and keeping such a beautiful facility!!

My grandmother Jean Winbigler had been a resident here since 2018. From my mom Lynne and Auntie Joan: They took such good care of mom and it’s such a great family environment. We are so appreciative. Over the years my mom and I visited all the time- and they even accommodated visits where my three kids came (playing with the kids and more) the past three plus years my mom was here daily and it was just such a blessing to know my grandma was safe and loved and cared for by everyone here. When she passed, it wasn’t just us grieving- everyone came in to show support and some of the staff even shared photos they had gotten of my grandma over the years. I’m gonna miss visiting- obviously I’m already missing my dear Mommom who was such an amazing lady who I thank God and am so grateful to have had but we’re all going to miss Heritage Creek as well for it’s beauty inside, for the wonderful and kind hearted staff, for the schedule and routine, great location and overall just such wonderful people. I’ll always be grateful for how well everyone took care of my Mommom Jean- but also for the care and grace y’all showed to my mom Lynne, her sister Auntie Joan, to myself and my family, and for our whole extended family. We moved our mom to Heritage Creek 18 months ago when she was 93. She needed a lot of help with everything and still does. We moved her from her prior facility because, despite paying top dollar, she was not receiving good care. We toured half a dozen other facilities before choosing Heritage Creek. With Heritage Creek we have had peace of mind like never before. Matthew, Liza, Charlie, Christina, and all the rest of the staff are simply amazing. They care about their residents and take pride in what they are doing. Here are some things I appreciate most about Heritage Creek: 1. Whenever I call and ask to speak to my mom, they answer promptly and know where she is and what she's doing. She might be in the dining room, or in a common area in her wheelchair, or in her room napping - they're generally able to tell me on the spot. They keep close tabs on her. They are always able to put her on the phone without delay, except when she's napping. In those cases, they arrange another time when she's up and follow up by calling me back. Heritage Creek is very helpful in making it easy for me to speak with my mom on the phone (we do Facetime) and I really appreciate that as I live out of state. With the prior place, getting to talk to my mom on the phone was always an ordeal. 2. As far as cleanliness, the place is spotless. No smell. The food is also excellent. The facility itself is beautiful - the pictures don't do it justice. It's also relatively small, more homey. 3. Falls are a risk for our mom, especially at night if she attempts to get up unaided, which she often does. Heritage Creek has been diligent in keeping floor pads by her bed, monitoring her closely, and keeping her safe. They use room cameras but more than that they pop in to her room on a regular basis. 4. I don't know what the exact staff-resident ratio is, but my impression is it's pretty low. They keep her room clean and neat at all times. They do an excellent job of helping her with personal hygiene, so that she always looks her best. The caregivers at Heritage Creek are friendly and warm towards my mom, as I have observed on many occasions, even though she can be quite feisty herself! Heritage Creek was the best move for our mom. Heritage Creek is a beautiful place and always really clean. But more than a building, I can't say enough how amazing Heritage Creek staff has been to me and my family. My dad was hospitalized and needed a place that could properly care for him. Because of very odd circumstances and timing, we needed to find a room and a hospital bed within a week. Lisa set up a room set up for him and went the extra distance to let us borrow a hospital bed, recliner chair, and dresser in the meantime. Liza, is the awesome on-site LVN and I trust her with any medical decisions involving my family. The staff was all so kind to us and my dad. While we visited him, multiple staff members offered to bring us drinks and snacks. This facility has many amenities and if they don't have it, they have connections to great home health care and hospice services. Would trust them with caring for other family members if they need assisted living facilities. Thank you Heritage Creek for all that you do!

Absolutely FANTASTIC! San Antonio Owned and Operated! No uncaring corporate culture that is out of touch with the residents. Everyone is family. We found Heritage Creek mid 2018 and I wish we had found them sooner! The leadership team is second to none. From the day I found them, it was like Heaven on Earth! They are a Type B Assisted Living. Every member of the staff is hand picked and vetted. When you walk in you feel like you just stepped into an executive VIP retreat. It’s warm and tranquil and definitely not the norm for Assisted Living. In an Assisted Living, there are going to be falls or little choking episodes for the residents but when that happens the staff responds immediately with loving kindness and absolute desire to help. Liza, The Director of Medical Care is over the top in her caring and her EVERYONE MATTERS attitude. Tameka, the Executive Director is focused on quality of life in every way. Christina, the Owner is there every day and very hands on. She can even be seen sweeping the floors. Honestly, finding any of the leadership team in their office is rare as they are very hands on with the residents and actually on site!. Hands down, they want what is best for each resident. There is no one size fits all approach to care. My wife has a rare and horrific terminal illness and she is shown love and compassion and understanding and total acceptance!! She is so happy here! I cannot say enough great things about this place! Our journey has been hard with this disease and the last Assisted Living she was at was horrific. But at Heritage Creek, her life matters. She matters. I never ever have to worry about her meds being ordered and honestly I never have to worry about anything. If something happens, and it does, I always get a phone call and either her Hospice is called or EMS is called as necessary. Continuity in care is absolutely consistent and, to my great surprise, all 3 shifts have the same attention to detail and commitment to providing the best life possible for everyone. Love and loving care is the name of the game here. No concerns about neglect or explotation or abuse, refreshingly, the culture is quite the opposite. The food is good. The facility is clean and I could go in and on. Joann, the Marketing Director is much more than that, she is visiting residents and actively involved in their lives. Heritage Creek definitely sets the standard and bar very high for what all the others should be doing but don’t. Karla, the Med Tech is absolutely amazing and does everything right to check and double check the meds before administering and since each person has different abilities to get them down, she never rushes any guest to hurry. We recently had a medical emergency and CiCi was quick to respond, quick to act and EMS was quick to be called. Every member of the team is CPR trained and no one is slow to help. The overall attention to detail, the single story layout, the short wings that apartments are on and the video call button system is so comforting to know that when the call button is pushed, the audible sound and the video screen helps the staff know where to go and they treat those call button pushes as if a life depends on it. There are a lot of long time residents. And every family I spoke to had absolutely no hesitation recommending the service provided. San Antonio is more than Blessed to have Heritage Creek. We don’t need more places, we just need one, this one. I posted what my wife says about living here in her own handwriting because that is what makes the difference for quality of life. Her words I living here at H.C. That says it all! And means the world to me. Thank you Heritage Creek! Come, visit, live here. You will be so glad you did and wonder why it took so long to get here! But other than that, all of them are so nice, I appreciated all of the aides that took care of my grandma, specially keya eunice chantelle and ashleigh.
