Our family visited Franklin Park Sonterra and immediately felt at home. We were greeted with a warm welcome and a wonderful lunch & tour. So much that our mom decided to cancel all other appointments to view other communities and sign up that day. I can’t recommend this community enough! If you inquire, ask for Avery! She’s extremely knowledgable and makes the process feel first class.

My grandparents have been looking into senior living options for a couple of years now. We found Franklin Park while visiting Trader Joe’s (it’s within walking distance!!) and decided to tour. My grandparents were absolutely taken back by the luxury this community has to offer. So many amenities including a heated swimming pool, full service beauty salon, art studio, etc. Not to mention the spacious apartments with washer/dryer included. Huge plus. Each apartment has a nice patio balcony that fits an outdoor table and a few chairs. This community is pure elegance. Looking forward to the memories our grandparents will make here.

The caring staff are attentive to the residents needs, are welcoming to visitors. The food is delicious and they offer 2 additional selections for lunch and dinner in addition to a standard set menu. Depending upon the the residents needs they offer assistance for hygiene needs, apartment cleaning and laundry services. There is a wide offering of outings and activities within the complex.

We are looking for my mothers people. A move to a senior retirement place is a possibility. Franklin Park Sonterras employees and residents worked hard to make us feel welcome. The food was excellent. The activities were well attended. I so hope my mother picks this place!

My parents have lived at Franklin Park Sonterra since March, 2012. We have concerns about FPs response time on emergency repairs. On Wednesday of this week, the elevator that my parents use to enter and exit the building, go to dinner, etc. has been broken. Mom is not steady enough to use the stairs and gets winded walking the extended long distance to the other elevator. (The corridors are quite long; a better design would have included more elevators, floor.) It is now Saturday, and per a call *I* made to the elevator repair company, the elevator wont be fixed until Monday.(Its unfortunate that there hasnt been better communication with the residence about it.) To me, this is a contractual concern on two levels: one is that a sprawling 4-story building full of elderly people needs elevator service in the way that hospitals do. It has to work. The second is that the contract between FP and its residents should state some kind of guarantee on maintenance, or offer a per diem credit in exchange. This is a major inconvenience for aging residents. That said, the facility is beautiful, the layouts are lovely, and it is convenient to a wide range of medical facilities, shopping, etc.

I had a chance to tour this lovely community and was extremely impressed. The apartments are spectacular and the activity staff is very engaging. If only I were of retirement age--this would be my first choice.
