Our family had to make a difficult decision to move dad into a memory care facility, but we knew it was time. Arden Courts was our top choice. Thankfully they had availability and he was able to move in. He likes the daily activities and we like that he can go outdoors on his own. It's never easy, but it's worked out better than we expected.

Arden Courts has longevity of employees which I believe is the key to their foundation. Plus the knowledge of the nurses is top notch

Great Memory Care setting where the staff truly care about the residents! Would highly recommend!

We moved my Mother-In -Law into Arden Courts two months ago. She is so happy here--the management and staff take care of her so well and make sure she is included and joins activities that help keep her busy and happy. She socializes with other residents and every time we visit with her she is bathed, dressed and doing something fun, whether it's an activity or a meal. For the first time, in a long time, we feel she is safe and well cared for by a really caring team of professionals.

From the moment we walked into Arden Courts we knew it was the right place for our father. Ashley and Gina were warm and welcoming and great at showing us around and answering any concerns we had. Walking into the facility is bright and cheerful and very clean. Everyone that works there is friendly and shows how much they care. My dad was welcomed instantly and all staff working with him were interested in knowing what our father liked and made sure they knew what would make him feel at home. Our father adjusted quickly and anyone that is dealing with dementia or Alzheimer's knows transitions can be tricky. Arden Courts is a one of a kind facility that has a specialist who is amazing and really knows what she is doing. Dr Cowan is the best and works very closely with the staff and family. I will recommend Arden Courts to everyone I know.

I've had excellent experiences with this location. As a mental health professional, I've collaborated with the Sr. Care Memory Advisor Ms. Weirich, on several occasions and have always found her to be incredibly helpful.

My loved one was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease at the age of 93, we knew something was wrong but thought he had dementia. We found out very fast that we needed help…the caregivers at his home were not enough, but they tried! Arden Courts came highly recommended so I visited and I can honestly tell you that I don't think he could receive better care, attention, and a feeling of belonging. It took a few months, but we could not give him this level of care at our home. He eats well, made friends with the nurses and caregivers, and is starting to socialize. His room and his clothes are always clean and he is showered and clean himself. The wonderful staff, nurses, and neurologist see to his medical needs in a prompt and professional manner. They have kept in touch with us and we are able to call and talk with someone about his progress. We highly recommend Arden Courts for your loved one with memory issues!

While it's true that "there's no place like home" it's also true that Mom required care that we could no longer provide. We thank God for Arden Courts and all of its amazing Caregivers for being there for Mom and us as we journey through her challenges with Alzheimers.

The staff at this community are wonderful! Every interaction I observe with my loved one is just exactly how I hope someone would treat my mother! They are kind, respectful, funny where appropriate, and adore her sense of humor. The staff know my loved one's preferences and mood and are able to adapt as needed to be sure her needs are met and she is as happy as possible. As a family member of a resident, I have direct access to the Executive Director and Head Nurse all the way down to the care staff. The communication is very much appreciated! The division of the halls into "houses" creates such a small facility / homelike atmosphere. This has allowed my loved one with dementia to form bonds with many of the staff despite her difficulties with memory and vision.
December 2023
My family thoroughly enjoys the giant walking courtyard, birdfeeder outside the window, the food, and the attention. Thank you for all!
December 2023
Each member of the staff at Arden Courts was caring and patient with my mom, and went out of their way to be responsive and communicative with me. I live very far away from San Antonio, and so it meant so much to me to know that she was well cared for, and that I always felt I was in the loop.

Arden Courts has been a blessing! My mother has Alzheimers and I moved her from a home care facility to Arden Courts based on high ratings on specializing in caring just for patients with Alzheimer's and Dementia. Our chaplain has been visiting with Mom for a few years now and had his first visit with Mom at Arden Courts. He told me she is much happier and that I had made the right choice in selecting Arden Courts as her new home. They are attentive, caring and professional. I highly recommend!

Arden Courts's staff are intentional in their support for individuals living with dementia as well as family members. They also support community partners in the education effort, provide social opportunities, and create a dementia-friendly community. Thanks for all you do!

My mother is an alzhiemers patient who has taken part in events for alzheimers sufferers and their caregivers that are hosted by Arden Courts. The events are a blessing for the alzhiemers community. The facility seems excellent and the residents that attend the events speak highly of facility and staff. Thank you Ashley Wierich for organizing the events with UTHealth Caring for the Caregiver program. It is a Godsend for us.
February 2023
Our mother has been a resident of Arden Courts since 07/31/2023, it was a very difficult decision to make, since mom has been there she's had her good days and bad which is expected but if for any reason we need to reach out to Gina, Ashley, Monique and Jackie, I know that I can reach out to answer any questions/concerns that we have about her care. The caregivers have become a second family to us, giving us daily updates if we request them. (They are the best)! We the family are deeply grateful and pleased with this memory care facility and highly recommend this place for any family looking for a loving home for your loved one.

Kudos goes to Arden Courts. My sister currently resides there and gets the utmost of care. The office staff is always quick to respond to my business needs while the resident staff takes good care of my sister's needs. The nursing staff has told me she goes around smiling a lot and always seems content. They offer many activities for the residents as well as ones that family and guests can participate it. Thank you Arden Courts for the fine care that you are providing for your residents.

My mother has been in Arden Courts for over 2 years. During her time there, she has received the upmost care and attention we could have hoped for. They really care about their residents. Ashley provides lots of fun activities for the residents and caregivers.
December 2020
When my dear husband had a serious progression in his Alzheimers Disease I could no longer care for him myself at home. I researched the memory care facilities within a 10 mile radius of my home and visited the 5 closest. Arden Courts has the most comforting arrangement of small areas, or houses that was very similar to most homes and the caregivers were certified nursing assistants, who I felt had much more knowledge than those in other facilities who just receive monthly trainings. My decision was validated as he came to the end of his journey. Everyone on staff was kind, caring and attentive to his needs and keeping him comfortable. I am so very grateful at the wonderful care given to my husband and for the information and emotional support that was provided to me. I feel lucky to have been part of the Arden Court Memory Care Community!
October 2020
My father is at Arden Courts and I wish I had found this facility sooner. The staff is AWESOME. From my first visit with Ashley, Gina and others to meeting with the Dr and entire staff, they care, they understand and know how to interact with family members suffering with dementia-Alzheimers. The facility is clean, not a typical nursing home. The rooms are nice and spacious. The nursing staff ensures your loved ones are physically and medically cared for daily. The entire staff from front desk to director are awesome. I totally recommend Arden Courts to your family when needing such a facility. Also...the Care-Staff are the best! Wish I could name them all, but my fathers care-staff are amazing!!!!!! Thank you

Great staff! Love the director and the doctor. Such a nice place. My mom is so much better after just a few months than she has been in years. Very grateful to the caregivers.

This Coronavirus and social-physical isolation is so difficult for everyone. However, Im forever grateful to the staff there who are doing so much, as much as they can. Various staff help us face time or talk on the phone, with me and my siblings, sometimes at our request and sometimes spontaneously as they did for me twice in the past few days... and just now ...giving me great peace ....and I will likely sleep well because of their outreach. The physician assistant called me this week with detailed report with assessment and plan. So, once again we are trusting God and I thank Him for the caring people at Arden Courts.
January 2020
The care my mother is receiving at Arden Courts is beyond compare. She is the happiest I have seen her in years. Never one to join group activities, I now find Mom attending social events and making friends. There is always something fun happening. The activities directors are super. The staffing here is very consistent with little turnover. And they love my mother. I hear them tell her that all the time.Exceptional neuro-psych Dr. on staff who is excellent with medications. When my mom moved in, she was very unstable and frantic. Within a few weeks, her medications had been corrected and a loving staff took over. They didnt put her in a zombie state, they gave her quality of life. Today, Mom is a delight and loves her home. And, I actually enjoy visiting because its such a happy place.

My husband loves it there.
December 2017
I love this place! My mom has thrived since she has moved there. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a facility for their loved one with dementia or Alzheimers. Wonderful place to be of you have the need for this type of facility.
July 2017
I have had several loved ones at Arden Courts. The staff is loving, caring and very responsive to my loved ones wants and needs. They understand dementia and that it can effect each person differently. No cookie cutter care here. Individualized care plans for each resident. The fact that they have a Geriatric Psychiatrist that comes into the facility each week and functions as a part of their care team, allows each resident wonderful quality of life. They also treat family members with love, understanding and empathy as they walk the path of dementia with their loved ones.
July 2017
My husband has been a resident of Arden Courts for over two years. He has received excellent care from all who work at Arden Courts and has benefitted from all of the programs offered, especially the live music. The outside area gives ample opportunity for sitting in the shade or sun and a chance for those who are still ambulatory, to walk in and out of the building at will. He was at another facility before I moved him to Arden Courts and the workers there were so poorly trained, they even called the police when he became paranoid! Thank goodness that he no longer has those episodes, but the Arden Courts workers know how to distract agitated dementia patients and are constantly being trained to handle difficult situations. I highly recommend it.
