Recently there was a plumbing problem at the facility. Something unforeseen and dramatic. While it was unpleasant to deal with having the water disconnected while repairs were made, I want to commend the staff. They went above and beyond to keep the residents hygienic and hydrated. They all came together to keep the spirits up. They really helped the residents. Their kindness was appreciated.

This is a lovely community with a terrific and responsive staff and lots of lovely neighbors! We enjoy many diverse events, including happy hours, lectures, live music, book clubs, card games, dancing, and fitness classes. Something for everyone. We are spoiled by our excellent Chef and his staff, who prepare and serve wonderful meals with many choices every day. Recently there was a leaking pipe that caused the need for repair to plumbing and some damage to walls, etc in a portion of one floor. Anyone anywhere knows that there are always things that happen in any home or apartment complex, right? Well, here at Adante the response was prompt and expert. Every single staff member volunteered and helped to bring water to residents and to help in any way, so that no one was inconvenienced. This is exemplary service that doesn’t happen where you do not have a committed and dedicated staff. I can’t say enough about how much they all care about the safety and happiness of residents. A dedicated team starts with an outstanding leader. Our Executive Director, Tiffany Dove, is grace personified. She is strong, caring, and fierce about working for the good of the residents. She manages with fairness and alacrity. She is animated at all points, and can handle any job. She has everyone’s back, and is an example of how great leaders lead from behind, empowering their staffers. If you are considering a senior apartment situation, come join us at Adante. You will never regret moving here. The Adante Housekeeping Director, Denise, is exemplary. She is always busy and never misses the slightest detail! She manages a great team, showing her leadership skills! Housekeeping is thorough and always done with a smile! Denise is responsible and responsive. She goes the extra mile and helps everyone with extra tasks or schedule needs. On top of it all, she is always encouraging residents, greeting people by name, and joins in to team efforts for activities and events. She is very caring in all her efforts, and what she does is highly valued by us residents! Adante is a fabulous place to live. Lovely facilities throughout, pretty and comfortable apartments, a wonderful chef, so many amenities. Best of all, a happy and friendly group of residents and the most stupendous staff, up and down from dining, maintenance, marketing, housekeeping, lifestyles and activities, concierge, and office staff. I moved into Adante almost four years ago. I can honestly say that in addition to saying yes to my husband 65 years ago, it has been the best decision I have ever made. After my husband passed away 6 years ago, I stayed in our home for two years. I lived in this neighborhood 55 years ago and didn’t want to move. But, taking care of a large home and big yard was more than I could handle. I also, didn’t like living alone. My husband and I watched Adante being built and knew some of the first residents to move in as they were our neighbors. We had discussed when and if the time came we felt we needed to downsize and sell our home, we would move to Adante which was around the corner from where we were living. After falling and breaking a hip, I decided it was time. I made an appointment with Dawn, took a tour and signed the papers that day. It is a decision I have never regretted. I have a lovely two bedroom apartment, have made some great new friends, the food that comes out of our kitchen can compete with any restaurant around here and there is an endless choice of activities daily to participate in. In closing, I can’t praise the Adante staff and associates enough. I highly recommend Adante!!

My mother Rosemary has now been living in this community for 11 years. Her first 2 years where in the Adante assisted living community with my dad David. He really enjoyed the good care from the staff. Rosemary still enjoys the food after 13 years. The grounds are nicely landscape with parts being left natural which makes her morning walks very enjoyable. The pool area is beautiful and well maintained. The Thursday happy hours continue to be entertaining with live music and current themed decorations and appetizers. Last week was country western, real Bailes of hay. I can only repeat what I’ve said before. I’m headed to live at ADANTE AND CHILL OUT in the next few years. My mom has a great apartment, she enjoys all the events and so do I when visiting. Staff and management are always on top of the 5 star service to all Seniors. A few months ago I had dinner at a special event here in Laredo honoring SA Mayor and HUD Secretary Henry Cisneros and he informed me he had his mom at ADANTE and it is certainly #1. I agree. I can’t say much more than what he stated to me but Secretary Cisneros was right. ADANTE is the best.

My parents finally decided to move out of their home and into Adante Senior Living. There is a choice of what level community fee you pay. If you pay the lowest community fee, you pay the highest rental rate. The middle tier pays the middle rental rate and then the highest community fee is the lowest rental rate. My parents paid the highest community fee. Their monthly rate is manageable until after their first year. Their first rent increase was around 9%. This made their monthly rent not manageable for long term. So, after paying $15,000 community fee, they were asked to pay even a higher rent. Bottom line, there was no benefit in paying the higher community fee. When my mom asked the office manager about it, she replied Your getting an increase in your social security. Really?? The food also started going down hill. The quality was just not there any longer. So, thank you to Adante Senior Living, my parents are back in their home and now refuse to move to another facility.

Adante is absolutely the best place for senior living in San Antonio . My three sisters and I searched through many senior living facilities to find the best place for our parents when it was finally time to find a new downsized home for them to enjoy in their latter years. Dad is now 91 and mom is 84, the only regret we have is that we were not able to get them here sooner. You see, mom and dad had a beautiful home on 2/3 of an acre in San Antonio with beautiful landscaping and a huge garden but unfortunately, too much work. Leaving that home was very hard. After living in Adante, we wish we could've talked them into moving here sooner. That was the most difficult task for us, the children to overcome, but, with my parents being here now for two years, there's no mention of their old home any longer. Adante is now home and they absolutely love it. On day one of our first visit to Adante, what told me more than anything I could be sold on was how happy the residents were that lived here, this speaks volumes. It also speaks volumes about the leadership and attitude of the employees that work here. Thank you Tiffany Dove for that leadership and the so many others that make Adante the nicest place for our loved ones that call it home. The employees that work here genuinely care about giving you or your loved ones the best care possible, they truly love their jobs. Every time I go by to visit, I get smiles and waves from everyone. I write this complimentary letter in hopes that anyone contemplating on finding a great place to live and enjoy their later years in life to consider Adante. The food is fantastic and healthy. If you come for a visit I suggest you request a free meal to try out. The many ammenities are great but what I appreaciate most about Adante is when you look into the eyes of the residents that live here, you get happy smiles back.

My mother-in-law relocated from Arizona to Texas in September. We toured several independent living facilities, but choosing Adante in San Antonio was the best decision we could have made. I’m writing this a week past the terrible freezing weather we had in Texas. Let me just emphasize the professionalism, care and kindness towards the residents and a 100% can-do attitude of each and every staff member. This was no small feat with outages all over our state. During the pandemic, the residents were well protected and among the first to receive vaccines. And as a caregiver, Adante also was able to offer me a vaccine. Amazing! If you or a loved one is looking for a top rate Independent Living facility, you will love Adante and its staff. The facility is gorgeous too!

I sold my home and moved into Adante six (6) months ago, in the middle of COVID-19. Prior to moving into the community, Dawn was awesome and patient in addressing my concerns and answering all of my questions. Adante has a fabulous staff, led by Tiffany who goes over and beyond (always with smiles on their faces). I am so grateful for their creativeness during these circumstances to capture wonderful memories, keep us entertained, tailgates, family and friend talks, face time keeping us in touch with our love ones. The residents are very friendly too. Living in Adante reminds me of living in a beautifully decorated mansion with a family friendly atmosphere. It is nice that we have the freedom to be sociable or private inside of our apartments, if preferred. Adante offers many activities (i.e., exercise classes, walks, creative crafts) and games (i.e., mahjong, bridge, rummikub) that are fun to participate; the best part, there is no extra charge! We even have a movie theater right here in our own community. Now, that’s convenience at no additional cost! I appreciate that I don’t have to cook and have fresh fruit and fresh salad choices every day. When I lived in my home, fruit and salads spoiled before I could eat it all. I also like that we have three (3) options for lunch or dinner everyday with great desserts too. I am so happy that I joined the Adante Family and love living here!

I've lived at Adante Independent Living for a little less than 2 years and I love it! There are so many facilities and activities offered that one can stay engaged physically (exercise classes, exercise machines, cardio-drumming, swimming in the summer, etc.) and mentally (our in-house library, lectures, classes, trips to lectures and musical performances, and such). The ambient is inclusive and friendly with conversations with neighbors and staff (OUTSTANDING STAFF) and weekly Happy Hour with live music. Peaceful solitude can be had sitting on your balcony, walking the wooded paths on grounds or across the (busy) street for long strolls in the vast Hardberger Park. I haven't mentioned all the good things you would have to discover for yourself but I think anyone would be happy living here.
