This place is amazing. My Dad has been here about 3 weeks and we have been so happy with his care. Every person we have dealt with has been so caring and friendly. Everyone is very knowledgeable about memory care and the needs of my dad. I finally feel comfortable when I leave from visiting him, knowing he’s well taken care of. The best part is that my dad is very relaxed and comfortable here. That’s so important seeing that he’s happy. A big shoutout to Yuri, Brenda and CG. There are so many others as well. Thank you!! One more thingTannys, the activity director, does activities each day. I love that. My dad gets involved and does many different things he’s never done before. They occasionally go out for lunch and other fun field trips!!

I had an excellent tour of Iris Memory Care in Rowlett with Paula, their Marketing Director. Paula was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the residents and families they serve. I was especially impressed by the community’s thoughtful, memory-care-focused design and programming. Their sensory-engagement tools, aromatherapy, frequent outings, and structured approach to supporting residents during the challenging sundowning hours demonstrate a genuine understanding of dementia care. The community itself felt warm, comfortable, and intentionally designed around residents’ needs. Paula provided a terrific tour and took the time to explain what makes Iris different. I own a business that involves some cold outreach, and when I stopped by Iris Memory Care today, Miranda handled it exactly how she should”firm but still kind. As a stranger, I wasn’t allowed into the main building or near the residents, and that’s exactly the kind of vigilance you want in a memory care community. My precious Mother lived in Iris for the last years of her life. She was ill for almost six years and my family grew to love all the caregivers at Iris as our own family. I know God led us to them. I am a nurse, I know how difficult their jobs are, and there are days that are not perfect. But I can promise you, the commitment they have to care for their residents is beyond comparison. I still follow the Iris FB page, and miss those residents, families, and workers every day. If you are looking for a place for someone you love, you can't go wrong by meeting with the Iris family. I visited Iris Memory Care yesterday to see what it was all about. I walked in, it smelt fresh and clean and the residents were out of their rooms and hanging out. I LOVE seeing that!! Some were doing puzzles, some eating snacks, and some just sitting there talking to Paula and enjoying conversation. It was nicely decorated and just so inviting. I engaged with the kitchen staff and caregivers and they were all so friendly. I even drank the punch, hehe. This is a wonderful facility and your loved one would be blessed to reside here!

When it became apparent that I could no longer care for her in my home, moving her into Iris of Rowlett was the right choice for us. In the four months my Mom has lived there, I have watched her thrive. The care she receives from the staff is professional, kind and playful. It is evident that the staff members love what they do and that they are appreciated by Admin. They take pride in providing a genuinely caring and respectful environment for the residents. As a nurse who travels all around the metroplex to care for my patients, I can with confidence speak to the quality of care given by each facility I visit. Iris is by far the best memory care unit/assisted living I’ve visited and worked with. If I needed to place a loved one in memory care, I would choose Iris. The staff are all so caring, from the aides all the way up to the administrator. Each member of the staff, no matter their role, takes a hands-on, family-oriented approach to each resident. The residents KNOW they are safe and loved. I’ve cared for several patients there (I work for an outside agency) and each of the families have always been beyond pleased with the care their loved ones receive. Never heard one complaint. And the residents I visit there are always well-cared-for and feel at home. I love visiting there, too! Everyone is so friendly and always has a smile. Oh, and they are always helping in the community and with organizations like the Alzheimer’s Association. They go above and beyond!!

I have never known of a nursing facility that does so much to keep the residents active while engaging their minds. They have an OUTSTANDING activity department. Each resident is recognized on their birthday with a personalized card and refreshments. They do a lot of crafting encouraging the residents to actively participate. They even bake cookies! I am a retiree of AT&T and belong to the AT&T Telephone Pioneers. For the past three years, we have budgeted money to help finance the activities. We believe it is money well spent.

Iris Memory Care was thankfully waiting for a new resident and my dad needed a place to call home when his caretaker (my mom) passed away. Iris Memory Care is a very clean place with a home feel and relatively new. The staff is always around when I have a question regarding my Dad or need to ask about something going on at Iris. Some staff members have come up to me and informed me of activities which my Dad joined in with the group, or just let me know that he had a good morning/day. That is always nice to hear. The staff even takes photos of the residents while on outings, activity times, and even just a walk around house (as my dad calls his home now) The kitchen staff worked to get my dad to eat three meals a day and have healthy snacks. Dad would only eat sweets and not much else when first arrived at Iris Memory Care. The building is set up very nicely and anyone in the main hallway can be seen from the common area. There are plenty of remote controlled recliners for family to watch TV with residents. Iris has a nice covered patio with ceiling fans, a large table and chairs for people to sit, and rocking chairs too. My dad likes to walk around to the raised garden bed and the side yard and sometimes take the water hose and just water whatever he feels like. Just to let folks know; I would recommend Iris Memory Care as I did take a look at a couple other places for my Dad to call home and not one place compared to Iris Memory Care. Please take a look and consider Iris Memory Care.

We are so thankful for the staff at Iris Memory Care of Rowlett. They actually engage the residents rather than simply supervise them. The nursing staff is so in tune with everyone’s health and the activities are amazing (they even go on field trips!). I even have to give a shout-out to the kitchen and janitorial staff. Healthy snacks and delicious meals. Rooms and common areas are always spotless. In short, if you are looking for quality, caring care for your loved one - this is the only place to go.

They were always responsive to my questions and concerns and provided timely solutions to challenges. The facility was always well maintained as well as her room. However the important part was the staff which can be challenging in this industry. They were always professional and had the best interest of my mother’s health in mind.
