I worked at this location for about 3 years as a caregiver. I was a CNA for 13 years and have worked at my different facilities, this place was by far the best that I've ever worked at! The owners (Christopher, Kelly,Phyllis) really go out their way to make anyone feel at home, no matter who you are. I definitely was not used to seeing an owner of a company serve food or help clean the kitchen and cook, let alone 3!! The only reason I left the job was because I changed career paths, but it was definitely hard and I truly miss that place, people and love! Anyone who is lucky enough to enter this facility, as an employee, resident or even a vendor, will feel at home and all the love inside.

I'd like to start out by thanking the staff and volunteers at Sundara Senior Living Facility. My mom has been a patient at Sundara for a little over a year and I've always found their staff very professional and friendly. They always keep me inform regarding how my mom is doing and what type of days she has. There is one lady I want to send a shot out to name Ms. Phyllis she's always kind and knowledgeable when I have questions and concerns. Phyllis Chism has been an inspiration to me on my journey into the medical field as well as senior living community. Stoney Brook Of Belton is where the journey first began under the tutelage of Phyllis Chism. Phyllis was is the assisted living Director of Stoney Brook Of Belton. And was the brains behind implementing and following state protocol to ensure the safety and happiness of the residents, residing within the community. Phyllis has been my mentor for a number of years and continues to motivate me to elevate in areas of my life that I never dreamed for myself. When it comes to senior living, no one knows this community better than Ms. Phyllis Chism. Phyllis has always been by the book per the state of Texas rules, and guidelines concerning senior living communities. And if your family member is blessed to be placed in a facility that she has dedicated her time and knowledge to you can best believe they will be in the most capable of hands. Sundara Senior Living has the highest possible recommendation I can provide. My father, who suffered from the effects of Lewy Body Dementia, was requiring 24 hour care as of November of 2021. After looking diligently for a quality facility for my him, the choice for our family was quite easy once I met with Kelli Hudson. She explained the process and patiently answered all my questions during our initial meeting. She then had a follow up meeting with my mother, sister, and brother-in-law to completely put them at ease. (after I informed them that this was my first choice) Her incredible staff, especially Karen Jones, offers amazing and quality care for your loved one. It is set up more like a large home than a large nursing facility. They only allow a small amount of residents, but it allows them to have more one on one type care. The kitchen staff provides made to order meals for them and they supply many activities to keep them active and engaged. My father only spent 3 and a half months there. I felt solace in that he was fully cared for until the very end. Sundara also helped our family arrange for Concho Hearts Hospice to assist him during his final few weeks. Their Hospice staff was equally incredible. If you are needing a place for your loved one that needs high quality memory care, I would definitely suggest you meet with them first.

My family moved my Dad to Sundara in May 2019. We would have never made it through the process of getting my Dad there had it not been for Kelli and her staff. The transition time for my Dad has been very difficult for him but the team at Sundara has worked really hard to help him adjust to his new environment. The team has provided so much support to us as we have struggled with the changes that Alzheimer's has brought to our Dad. We can rest better each day as we know Dad is safe, getting his required medication, getting regular meals and there is always someone close by keeping an eye on the residents. Dad being at Sundara has reduced our stress and concern for his well being. Great Team.

I highly recommend Sundara to anyone seeking the best care for their loved one. Kelly and her wonderful staff have been taking care of my Mom for over 6 months and I have been extremely pleased with her care. The staff is highly trained and treat all of the residents with the utmost courtesy and respect. They provide gentle, loving care in a beautiful and safe environment. I live out of state and am only able to visit Mom 2 to 3 months out of the year. When I'm in town, I spend as much time as possible with her at Sundara. I feel like part of the family, getting to know the other residents and observing the consistent and loving care shown by the staff. I know that Mom is in good hands and no longer need to worry when I'm not with her.

My godmother has been here for six months. They are loving and caring, helping persons with memory issues transition as painlessly as possible. She helps out around the place doing small chores that help keep her engaged. The staff is thoughtful and careful, and the access to medical care and other services is timely. Sundara is different from other places in that some activities are provided but the residents really are treated with individual care and planning.

A caring place where your loved one will be treated as an individual and not one of many. Beautiful, well maintained and calming. They truly care and though we have only had a short experience at this point, they have come through every time they said they would do something. They make sure you know staff is accessible if there are questions or concerns. They give wonderful guidance as there is no handbook for having to make this very difficult decision for a loved one.Due to the situation, we needed an immediate placement and they did everything promised to ensure we could make that happen as smoothly as possible. They took care of everything so quickly. We always feel welcomed any time of day. On the hardest day, Kelli and Karen were right there with us and provided comfort as we had to leave for the first time You could see through the owner/director's emotions that she felt our broken hearts. Karen even texted an update the next morning with pics to share how well the first night went because she knew we were anxious. It made going in the next day a little easier knowing she had a good first night. The all inclusive rate is reassuring so you don't have to wonder what is going to hit next. Excellent pricing. If you have to make this difficult choice, give them a call and they will be happy to show you around.

It's really hard to summarize just how great a home Sundara has been for my mom. We moved her into Sundara last year after trying to keep her in our home but quickly realized we were not going to be able to give her the specialized care she required. Kelli and her fantastic staff have guided, encouraged and helped in too many ways to list. Knowing your loved one is being cared for by professionals trained to care for their special needs is such a relief. Visiting my mom has become such a joy, we are all able to enjoy her and no longer have the heavy burned of 24/7 care. The staff has always treated my mom with such dignity and respect. I appreciate how they give each resident specialized care, there is no one size fits all approach. I recommend Sundara to anyone else who has a loved one who needs memory care.

Sundara is how memory care really needs to be, personalized, comfortable and relaxed, and very cozy, like being at home. At Sundara, there are two beautiful residences with only 16-beds per home. The staff are incredibly experienced and passionate about what they do--they love what they do, taking care of people with dementia, and they are dedicated to making sure each resident is doing as well as they can be. When you go into a Sundara home, you smell home-cooked meals, cookies, coffee, or whatever is going on in the kitchen. Some residents are watching TV, some are playing games, reading the newspaper, taking naps in their rooms, or sitting around talking. Everyone seems nicely dressed, make up on, and hair combed--it is very special to see so much love. In the day and age when most memory care communities are over-sized, institution-like, environments with multi-levels of staff, fixed and strict schedules, and bingo every night, it is so great to see a place like Sundara where the residents are truly at home, where personalized care is a real reality, and it seems like so many people are truly happy. The other thing about memory care today is how expensive it has gotten. Sundara's prices, all-in, appear to be the best in the Austin area, and the care quality as good as it can get. Sundara is how memory care should be! If you are really considering memory care, you need to speak with Kelli at Sundara!!
