Cambridge Square has taken very good care of my loved one. She has some weird quirks and is not as well physically as some who live there, but they really do a great job of keeping her healthy and happy. We will have to move her soon because of financial problems, É“ut I wish we could keep her there.

UPDATE 7/22/22: My initial review was way over a year ago. Since that time we have had two more Executive Directors. I am truly disappointed in this facility. In the beginning, 2019 it was great and I was very happy my mom was there. Since then the meals are no longer balanced, staff changes, among other things. For example, today 7/22/2023 lunch consisted of some ground beef, beans and potatoes. This not a balanced diet for any body much less the elderly. The former ED spent more money on upgrading the building instead of making sure the residents had a daily balanced diet. Joseph Ware's review was not consistent with is truly happening. He was Team Michelle and not Team Residents. They cannot keep staff, and it's a revolving door of employees, that's if they decide to show up for work. I can't understand how Head Office cannot see the challenges in this facility. Residents falling and waiting for someone to come to their room. Last week, a resident asked me to call someone or her family because her diaper needed to be changed. Truly ridiculous. I hope they get their stuff together before it becomes just another place for the elderly. Initially, the reviews were positive and it was closer to a 5 star location but now it's less than 4 stars. When I decided to bring my mom closer to me and reviewed the Assisted Living Facilities, I chose this facility because of several things. Maxine, Executive Director at the time, was a gem. I knew she cared a great deal about the employees, the residents, and because she was a long-time employee and others, this seemed like the best choice for my mom. The menu looked delicious, and the portions were very generous. The employees had been there for a while, so there were consistency and a routine. It has now been one year and three months. During that time, the ED has left; I know why but I won't get into that. There have been two more ED without Healthcare experience, which should be a requirement for this position. They have come and gone. Now the facility has another new ED. Who knows how long this person will last. It's ridiculous that the head office in Dallas cannot hire someone competent. The last ED decided to start saving money on food by shopping at Sam's. What is printed on the menu is not what the residents are eating. There is one long-time cook still there. All of the other cooks have left. It's a revolving door at the facility, so why should the other employees stay? The meals are not restaurant-style, as noted in the pamphlet. Why would a facility skimp on meal portions and not have delicious meals? We pay enough rent for them to be comfortable. Some of the residents have commented about this to the Executive Director but no one has done anything. I've even offered to cook some weekends and spend my own money. The Executive Director ignored my offering. There are a few things that the facility needs to correct. Food is the most important one and then hire an Executive Director with Healthcare experience who will care and take an interest in the residents. My mom is safe and I am appreciative for this. For these reasons, I am giving the facility four stars. If Maxine, the original ED were still there, I would have given the facility five stars because none of this would happen. I will say that this is the lesser of the two evils. If you can afford an Assisted Living Facility, I would choose this one over a nursing home.

I am a Managed Care Contracting Resource with Pennant Services. I feel Michelle goes above and beyond her Executive Director job role in many outstanding ways. When residents requested a rib dinner, she obliged, cooking the meal herself (even though she was unfamiliar with ribs). Michelle also arranged a Thanksgiving meal for residents, family members and staff, recruiting her own mother to volunteer with tasty desserts. Michelle is inspiring in how she customizes the experiences for her elderly residents as they age . She actually told me “This is my dream job”, and I could feel it. Residents trust her with their needs and wants and know that she treats each of them like extended family. If I or had to have a loved one placed in a facility, we would definitely recommend Michelle Hyde and Cambridge Square.

My mother has been a resident at Cambridge Assisted Living in Rosenberg for six years. I am very confident she is receiving the best care available. The staff does such a good job, I feel like I have family taking care of my mother. I think it is very important to get to know the staff at any facility. At Cambridge the staff is more than willing to get to know you.I have been with my mother when her medication is given and have no concerns she is receiving her medication correctly and on time.She is very happy with the food and cannot wait to go to the dinning room.My mother is very happy at Cambridge. She knows Cambridge is home and has never ask to be anywhere else. I would recommend Cambridge Assisted Living in Rosenberg to anyone looking for a home for their loved one.

My Mother has been here a few times for respite care and she always enjoyed herself and was well taken care of. It also gave my husband and I a nice break so we could have a vacation and we didnt have to worry about her. We recently placed Mom there to live as we could no longer care for her ourselves at home. She is happy and enjoys spending time with the residents. She cares deeply for the staff and feels they are like family. We are grateful to have found Cambridge Square Assisted Living. We wholeheartedly would recommend it for your loved ones.

This is my moms second time to be at Cambridge. I would highly recommend this facility. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Mom enjoys the activities, food, and staff. My family and I are very grateful to Maxine and staff for helping mom settle into her new cozy place!
