My mom has been taken care of so well at Legacy. Every day has been five star. The Legacy at Longmeadow is the best place I could have found for my mother as well as my family. All the staff is so kind and helpful. This is not just a community but really a family. Rebecca, Courtney and Yolesse have always gone over and above to help with information and guidance for the best care for my mom. Judith and Larry (PT) are always encouraging and kept her going. Caregivers there are sincerely loving and caring. Xio, Sheila, Heather always made me feel confident that she was always looked after. Coming in the front door and being greeted by Cynthia and Jamie with joy, concern, and helpfulness was the best way to start my visits. Activities with Dani are such fun! My mom loved the food with all the options available. The whole environment is beautiful, clean, loving, and enjoyable.

My mom Elaine has lived at Legacy Long Meadow for over a year now and the care is beyond great. She was in poor health since my dad died in 2013 but is now the healthiest I’ve seen her in a long time. Legacy Long Meadow makes caring for your elderly parent less stressful. I no longer have to worry at night or when I go out of town because I know she is safe. I think when you have a professional, honest and caring nurse/director like Rebecca then it makes the staff feel respected and want to go a good job. There are so many people that provide amazing care that I know I’m going to forget some names. Cynthia at the front desk knows the residents and families by name, Courtney is always available to answer questions or help with anything you need, Rebecca is beyond amazing so there’s no words to describe her, Davrie makes sure the staff are always on top of whatever needs to be done and goes above and beyond to address any concerns, the med techs Tonya and Heather know exactly the care that each resident needs and do it with a smile, Dani and Martha make sure every resident is included in activities and get to enjoy the parties, games and music and the caregivers all act like they enjoy their jobs. I’ve been a nurse for 30+ years and been to probably every assisted living and memory care in Katy/Richmond/West Houston, and there’s a lot of beautiful buildings but Legacy Long Meadow is beautiful in every way possible. Thank you for treating my mom like you would treat your own family. It means a lot to us.

My mom has been at Legacy for about 16 months and through the diligent work of their on-site physical therapist, Judith, we are able to move her to Independent Living. Although I'm reading all of these 5 star reviews here, this has not been the experience for our family. Every single issue that we've ever raised has been turned back to us that we have unrealistic expectations or they are somehow our fault as the family or my mom's as a resident. Whether it's a key fob that doesn't work, a door that doesn't close properly or the staff's lack of knowledge when my mom fell. I've been told many times that "my mom has the right to fall" which seems strange to even hear. I get it, seniors fall. But we are paying these $200 a day prices so that someone is there and when she does fall, help her up. My sister who lives locally has had to go many times to get her off the floor in the middle of the night because for whatever reason, the staff is not there for her. And as I mentioned before, when these are brought to the attention of the Executive Director, we are informed the many reasons that we should not expect that someone would be there to help her. My family goes to play BINGO with the residents several times a month so we are there quite often. We are not the type of family who is demanding. I'm only writing this to counter all of these 5 star reviews which I believe are unrealistic. It is a big decision when a family member needs this type of care. I feel like our experience is relevant to share here. Judith and Dani are both great...that's the reason for 3 stars.

My mom called Legacy at Long Meadow home for almost five years, and I can’t say enough about the wonderful care she received. The staff truly went above and beyond every single day, not just meeting her needs, but treating her with compassion, dignity, and genuine kindness. It was clear they cared for her as if she were family. I truly believe the excellent attention, medical support, and warm environment gave her a couple of extra years we might not have otherwise had. Our family is forever grateful for the comfort and quality of life she experienced here. Thankful for the direct care she received from Heather, Xio, Sheila, Tonya, Barbie and Whitney, as well as support care from Cynthia, Jamie, Tiffany, Davrie, Dani, and many others who truly made a difference in Mom’s life. Rebecca, the Director, expects nothing less from the staff she leads. If you are looking for a place where your loved one will be cared for by people who are dedicated, professional, and deeply compassionate, this community is an absolute blessing.

My review is LONG overdue! Words can not describe how happy we are with The Legacy at Long Meadow. From when we walked in the door visiting with Courtney to the front desk, the caretakers, the kitchen workers, maintenance employees to the best of the best, Dani, the enrichment director. My mother-in-law is in her Glory! I'm so happy knowing she is well taken care of and extremely happy here. Love, Love, Love them ALL!!!!

Mom has been very content with her stay at Legacy @ Long Meadows. Executive Director Rebeca is the most helpful, personable and effective leader I have seen in action. She always greets you with a smile and how can I help you and help you she does! The entire staff are very hands on and there to help with any needs. I feel so secure in knowing my mother is in such a great care facility. Mom feels like Cynthia is a special friend that brings her news of the day. From the moment I meet with Courtney to take a tour, I knew we were going to be happy with mom’s new apartment . Darvy and Heather are always ready to help medical issues move steady. I would recommend The Legacy at Long Meadows to anyone wanting a safe, clean, friendly and social community for their love ones. The facilities are very nice but the staff make it a home.

My 89-year-old Mother moved to Legacy from an independent living center. We waited too long, and she was in bad shape. In just a few weeks, she seems years younger, more alert, more engaged and happier. I’m shocked. Thank you Legacy!

Discovering Legacy at Long Meadow Farms for my father has been a blessing beyond words. This place redefines assisted living, merging the care you’d expect with the luxury of a high-end hotel. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in warmth and professionalism that put any concerns to rest. Dad’s experience here has been outstanding. He's not just looked after; he's genuinely cared for. Every meal is a testament to the chef’s prowess, balancing nutritious needs with culinary delight. It’s comforting to know he's enjoying food that’s as good for his health as it is appealing to his taste buds. The staff at Legacy are the heart and soul of the facility. Their dedication shines through in every interaction, showing a level of empathy and support that’s rare and invaluable, especially during tough times. It’s clear they don’t just do a job; they fulfill a calling. Seeing friends also entrust their loved ones to Legacy reinforces my belief in the quality and compassion of their service. It’s a community where care, comfort, and dignity intertwine, offering peace of mind that’s priceless. For anyone considering a place for their loved one, Legacy at Long Meadow Farms stands out as a beacon of exemplary care in assisted living. They’ve earned every bit of this five-star review, and my heartfelt gratitude.

I went to visit both my grandparents this week (one in memory care and one in assisted living) and I was so happy with everything I saw. My grandmother is always pleased with the quality of the food they serve and the different activities they offer. She is much happier here than in precious facilities she had lived in. She also really enjoyed the salon for a hairstyle and nail polish application. I saw a holiday activity packet they had provided to residents with a word search, crossword puzzle, etc. which is a great extra touch. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Facilities were clean and tidy. My grandfather enjoys going to the movie theater and playing ping pong. Overall, just a wonderful place with loving staff.
October 2022
My dad recently moved here after several very bad experiences at other facilities. One thing I have learned is that when looking at reviews you must look at the specific place you are planning to move your loved one into. Independent living, assisted living, and memory care are all very different within one facility. My dad is in memory care which often has the lowest reviews because these are the residents who need the most care. This facility is less than five years old and many of the caregivers have been here since it opened. I cannot say enough good things about the nurse, Rebecca. She is amazing! She is the most responsive and proactive person I have ever met. I have seen her interact with patients who were agitated and she is so good with them and clearly has an extensive knowledge of Alzheimer’s. Unlike many other facilities, we find this facility to be staffed appropriately for the number of residents and the care that needs to be given. The Director, Chris, definitely appears to be an honest guy who knows the way the staff performs shows the facility’s strengths and doesn’t need to overpromise. The memory care residents can attend the assisted-living activities if they are able. They have a wonderful sports room upstairs with table tennis and darts and many TVs. My dad is very happy here and he enjoys playing table tennis while sitting in his wheelchair and listening to the Astros on TV. The caregivers are kind and attentive. In my opinion this is the most important quality of memory care. We are very grateful to have found legacy at Long Meadow and have comfort knowing my dad is there and being cared for with compassion and kindness!

I may have to write a book about how incredible this facility is. My parents have been in two other assisted living venues, both were horrific. Finally Longmeadow opened and I will be forever grateful. My Daddy passed away after only living there for 2 months, but the love they showed to him, my Mother and our entire family was incredible. My Mother has been so happy. The staff goes above and beyond assisting the residents and their families. Since the management staff has changed, I wish to give major kudos to Rebecca (probably one of the most professional, knowledgeable and compassionate nurses I have ever been around. The CNNs and Med Techs are always aware of what is going on with each resident. I never hear them complain or gossip about other residents. Legacy at Longmeadow is spotless, food is superb and services are excellent.

As my mom’s dementia progressed, we had to make a decision to move her from her senior independent living facility to a memory care facility. We couldn’t have found a better facility than Legacy at Long Meadow. From the first day when we walked into the facility and Ruth Ann asked How can I make your day better we knew we found a great home for mom. We were in the right place. As with many people first moving to a memory care facility my mom hated the move. The staff was extremely caring and friendly. They told us to just give them a couple weeks to allow her to adjust to her new home. They were right. In a couple of weeks, she was out of her room and participating in the many activities that are available. She was flourishing at this facility. She even had a group of ladies that she would sit with after dinner. Unfortunately, my mom’s stay wasn’t long enough, and she passed away recently. Thankfully she was able to spend her last days at Legacy. We had our whole family in the last weekend and the staff at Legacy was exceptional in supporting our family. They offered food and stories about mom that let us know just how much they cared. We can’t thank Legacy enough for the love and care they gave to mom and our family. Our family will be forever grateful for the experience we had at Legacy.
April 2019
Both of our parents live in Memory Care. From the time we visited to tour the facility until we moved in. Ruth Ann was very helpful in helping everything go smoothly. They were very flexible for us, even putting an entryway between 2 rooms so that our parents could share the space (one as a bedroom, the other as the living room). From the day we asked for it until it was done was less than a week. I believe that the more you put into caring for your family, the more you will get out of it. There are so many nice Caretakers within the facility, and they take the time to chat with me to keep me up-to-date on how our folks are doing. I wish I could name them all, but I do want to mention what happened earlier today, as it was one of those extra special moments. Norma, one of the Caretakers, will often sing when she's working with my Mom, and my Mom will often join in. Today, she had my Dad call me, and put my Mom on the phone so that I could hear her singing How Great Thou Art with Norma! That is one of those moments that I won't forget!

My neighbor was one of the first residents to move to legacy at long meadow. Every time I visited him he was always engaged with other residents and staff, he was always smiling and happy. Management and care staff were always around and engaging with visitors and residents every time I visited, I would definitely put my mother there. I would recommend everyone who is in need to put their mom or dad here for piece of mind and security, loving attention. I have been in the senior health care industry for over ten years and the legacy at long meadow is by far the best I have ever seen.
February 2019
I recommend Legacy at Long Meadow for assisted living And/or memory care whenever asked. I am in the building daily. The staff are responsive, present, and caring. Issues are handled professionally and privately. The building is beautiful with many areas to congregate, visit, and relax. The food always appears palatable, healthy, and well thought out. The residents I speak with on a daily basis are happy with their choice to call Legacy at Long Meadow Home.
February 2019
The staff is friendly and helpful. They encourage everyone to come and participate in all the activities. They have an exercise room which is wonderful to workout in. The food is delicious and they have a lot of variety. Their family gathering are wonderful and the spread is beautiful and delicious.
February 2019
I give them 5 stars for be very professional but also they treat their residents like family. The gentleman that I had there never had a problem with any of the care givers. We also never had any kind of accidents like the place he was in prior. The day he left to go live with our Heavenly Father I believe most of the staff came by his room for him and me. Some of them still call and check on me after my loss.
February 2019
I have just moved my mother into the facility. The band my mother was given to access the building and her room have not worked for a week. There have been minor issues, but no place is perfect. Overall the staff is responsive, unfortunately it is difficult to get issues resolved quickly. I would suggest an advocate be assigned to each resident so that the families have someone to contact directly. The food is good and the activities are plentiful if your family member will participate.
