I had a tour on Friday, August 7, 2026. Ms. Fatima was very knowledgeable and kind. She gave me what I would call a perfect tour. I love the way community responded to each other and to her. She allowed me to do FaceTime with my Nephew so that he could view the facility and he liked what he saw . Ms Fatima spoke with two other family members on the phone and gave them a verbal overview of the community. I would live there if I needed help.. and I hope my family will feel the same way as I do for our love one. ‘

We have been living here at this facility in Red Oak for 2 years, we live in a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment on the back side upstairs in a corner apt. we love our apartment, it is comfortable and nice. We have not had but a small amount of maintenance problems. We love our neighbors and friends that live here. Over all it is a good somewhat safe place to live. We pay a lot of money to live here. There has been some issues with safety and security of the facility. The maintenance people have a garage door that I and others have reported left open at least 7 times and I know 2 other times and we have closed it on our own so the hall door would be secure. Every year we have a problem with them getting the pool open for the summer season. (May 1) This year they have let the pool turn green and now who knows when it will open. The food in the dining room is a hit or a miss and the service is terrible most of the time. We have complained at the what they call town hall meetings but the chef always says he is working on it. These are some examples of what we have to deal with, fish not cooked enough, hamburgers raw on the inside, orange chicken that the chicken was raw on the inside, ribs that was raw and so tough you could not cut them with a knife. The waitresses seem not to know what is going on or what they have or don’t have. If you order a hamburger they do not bring anything to go on it, usually it is just meat and bread. You order a baked potatoe with butter and sour cream you never get the sour cream, and if you do it is 20 minutes latter. They stay so confused that they do not know who they have waites on and who they have not. They need a better way of serving the people, for example assigned table rows by each waitress. When we complain to the waitresses they seem to shun us and still not wait on us. I am sorry but there has to be some positive changes. If they cannot be a part of the solution then maybe they are part of the problem.

I have been looking for a place for my mom to live and visited Arabella and was given a tour by Rachael Ramsey. Rachael spent two hours with us showing us around and answering all of our questions. Today I brought my mom to see the place, again Rachael was so patient and spent time answering endless questions and gave my mom time to look and process this big decision. We signed a lease and feel good about our decision. We got to meet some of the residents during lunch and was greeted and welcomed well. The food was good too! UPDATEmy mom has been here for three years now and we couldn’t be more pleased. A special thank you to Robyn, the event planner, who goes above and beyond to create meaningful experiences for the residents. She consistently organizes creative projects and enjoyable outings each week, ensuring there is always something to look forward to. More importantly, she has a genuine gift for bringing people together, building friendships, encouraging participation, and making everyone feel included. Manager Arron is equally dedicated and attentive. His presence is felt throughout the community, and it’s evident that he truly cares about the residents and staff. He fosters a warm, welcoming environment where concerns are addressed and relationships are nurtured. The chef also deserves recognition for providing delicious, thoughtfully prepared meals. What stands out the most is how involved the entire staff is. They don’t just work here, they form real relationships with the residents. Arabella has been a real blessing to my mom and our family.

I have lived here for 2.5 years. Have seen two managers leave and staff come and go. The assistance for obtaining help in apt is limited. Six days I have waited for TV repair. Nothing! Not even a voice telling me that help is delayed. I also need a new light in oven and overhead fixture, but have not bothered to ask for help! I know that I will not get any! We need more help in this place, but the new owners have chosen to ignore staffing needs! Don't move in, you will be sorry!

Arabella is a beautiful home with caretakers who truly seem to care about the residents. My father-in-law was in Memory Care there for a short while until he passed recently. We are thankful that he had a place there. The caretakers in the Memory Care unit seemed to have genuine concern for their residents. They were cheerful and helpful. The con we found is that there is a distinct lack of communication that made some things difficult. My MIL had to deal with duplicate payments multiple times. When any of us needed to talk to someone at Arabella, it often took some time to get someone to text, call, or email us back. There was one occasion when my FIL was having medical problems, and none of us could easily get through to anyone there. We also asked that he be seen by their doctor for a possible infection, and were told that would happen the next day. It never did, and we did not find out until over a week later that he had not even been seen. We also struggled to get Arabella to send one of the insurance companies some paperwork they needed, and it took multiple phone calls, texts, and emails to finally get that accomplished. A couple of weeks after my FIL passed, my MIL received a bill for the next month's stay. I know many things are automated; however, it would be nice if when a resident passes away, especially while on site, if they could take special care to resolve the billing before additional monthly bills are sent out. Another issue was communication being timely between Hospice and Arabella regarding my FIL's care for the last few days of his life. The Hospice nurse kept sending orders to Arabella regarding meals and medications that were somehow either not being received or understood by the Arabella staff. An aide brought in food for him twice, against medical orders, well past the point when he could eat or even swallow. It was a bit distressing to all of us sitting with him during those last days especially since the aide insisted on leaving the food there the first time "just in case" he wanted it when he was obviously not even conscious anymore. That particular aide could be helped with some training on how to deal with these tense situations - especially how to read the room. Overall, we are still grateful to the Arabella Memory Care staff for taking care of my FIL during his last couple of months. We appreciate their empathetic concern shown to the family. Hopefully, communication can be improved in the future for other families to provide the very best experience possible.

He was genuinely kind and answered every question we could throw at him, while giving us any additional info he could possibly think of. He arranged for us to look at one of the cottages, and in doing so, we were able to meet some of the tenants and visit with them while he stayed back and gave us our privacy! We are most impressed with Arabella and all it offers. We also had the pleasure of meeting Shonda Suddeth the previous day, she showed us around the complete inside of this beautiful facility along with one of the apartments. I toured this place with my sister-in-law as she is researching independent and senior living options and locations in the DFW and surrounding areas. We were greeted by Kristin Hagan and Aaron Verigan who provided good information on the company, facilities, plus other locations where they operated. They provided us with a tour and answered all of our detailed questions. The only thing missing would be nursing care for more complicated medical issues and needs if a full lifecycle facility is required. The facility is kept up to date, grounds are maintained, has good food options, has good program options, and lots of other high end services.

If I could put zero stars I would! This facility cares more about money and their license than your loved one’s basic care! My grandpa was housed in the memory care side the “cottage” as they call it. He experienced a traumatic fall that resulted in a brain bleed and broken sternum, the caregivers lied on their reports to the state claiming it was an assisted fall. And when our family questioned the facility on how my grandfather ended up with traumatic injuries (traumatic brain bleed and broken sternum). We were told “your cameras did not pick up any negligence or abuse”. My grandpa fell in the bathroom. And yes we did not have a camera in the bathroom for his privacy. Once we were forced to put him back into the Arabella after his traumatic fall due to lack of time and choices of other places to send him. Arabella refused to give him the basic care he needed to be fed at every meal. They refused to feed him and just placed the tray of food in front of him and did not attempt to feed him. They left him in bed, in very uncomfortable positions for days. They did not change him on a regular basis and left him sitting in his own urine and feces, smelling HORRIBLE for days and days. This neglect led to a very rapid decline in his health and well being. We ultimately made the decision to move him to a group home with more personalized care. In the 48 hrs since moving him, he has eaten most of all meals given to him because he’s being fed properly due to not being able to do it himself. He has perked up and gotten color back into his face. He suffered from malnutrition and dehydration due to Arabella’s neglect and abuse. Do not put your loved one in the memory care side of this facility! You will regret your choice to put them there. If I wouldn’t of moved my grandfather when I did. He would of died due to neglect, abuse and lack of basic care needs! Your loved one would be better off at a Medicare funded facility than putting them here. Don’t make the mistake our family did. Seek elsewhere to put your loved one! And research group homes, they offer the absolute best care possible and will treat your loved one with dignity and respect

I was skeptical at first but really needed help finding assisted living for my family member. My skepticism quickly changed to optimism the first time I met with Fatima Wilson at Arabella of Red Oak. She was patient, kind, understanding, knowledgeable, and quickly became a good friend. After giving her the summary of what I was looking for, where, and how much we could afford she got right to work. It was nice getting all the information I couldn't find online in one spot. Fatima provided us with a detail tour and had patience while we discussed next steps in the process, offering resources too. Fatima provided all the information we need to make a decision. We toured the facility for independent living and I like the 2 bedroom deluxe plan. It was good to know that transportation is available for doctor appointments. I like the fact that it is pet friendly and has several outdoor areas specifically for pets. The food is delicious, well seasoned and the menu changes each season. Residents were actively participating in several activities. There is an outdoor pool and gym inside. They can accommodate family overnight and there is a room to accommodate a private family meal for more than five people. They can also recommend help for downsizing. I think it's a great place to age out.

Our mother recently passed while at Arabella of Red Oak. (Christmas 2024) She had been a resident for 13 months. This was our second senior living facility and our favorite by far. The caregivers are kind and helpful. My mother needed the top level of care and they were able to give it. We had cameras in the rooms and could monitor always. My mother felt loved by all of them, day and night. Ana and Tomi are caring Wellness Directors and make themselves available for communication at all times. Amanda runs a loving facility where the residents are made to feel at home’. There will always be issues in any facility, but at Arabella when you bring an issue to their attention, they actually work to resolve it. We were very happy with the care given to my mother this last year and for their loving supportive attitude to all of us family members who visited often! The caregivers were by my mother’s side through her last weeks as well as her last moments. We will always love them for that!

I met with Rachel Ramsey at Arabella of Red Oak. She was referred by A Place For Mom. Rachel was very helpful. She actually went above and beyond. Not only did she answer questions to put me at ease, but she allowed me to talk to current residents about their experience. During the closing session of our meeting, she provided a couple of take home meals so mom could try the food. Best customer service experience I’ve had in a long time. Responding with revised conditions at Arabella Independent Living. A new manager has been appointed to the facility. And who has begun working hard, updating a number of disruptive issues that have been affecting numerous residents. These efforts are noted by residents and appreciated. Realizing that NO facility has perfect conditions. Arabella is a wonderful place to live. The numerous employees ( management, food, housekeeping, craft, front desk, therapy, maintenance, etc) work hard in supporting each other and residents. Looking forward to the future. Having the ability to enjoy good food preparation and service. Living in beautiful, well designed apartments. Enjoying life with the wonderful residents. Very thankful for Arabella.
