My mother in law moved into the lodge in February. We moved her into this facility from one in Longview. Since she has been here her appetite has increased 10 fold, she is no longer being over medicated like they did to her at the last facility. She is talking better a lot more coherent than the last place. She gets along with the other residents there as well as all employees. Making this move to the lodge was the BEST decision we made. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE AT THE LODGE

My parent has been a memory care resident at The Lodge for several months. The staff is very kind & caring. The executive director has gone above and beyond. She has been a God send to us. No place is perfect, but during this difficult time we are thankful to have found The Lodge and to have the support we desperately needed.

My Mother was in the Memory Care Unit at the Lodge. As a family, we went through 2 other facilities in the Tyler area and paid TOO MUCH and never received the quality care for my Mother until we found the Lodge. The director, Ms. Perry, is wonderful and hands-on with all the residents. She is educated and experienced with Memory Care and does a wonderful and compassionate job. The Staff is caring and loving to all the residents. I would "pop-in" all times of the day and everyday. I began to know all the people who worked there with my Mother. The director and staff became my extended family/friends. They are the best! Additionally, my Mother loved them, and they loved her! My Mother was happy and comfortable. Her room was a perfect size, and she had personal items/furniture from home to remind her of home. I saw the safety measures implemented by the facility for all residents., which made me feel better. All in all, there is nothing negative to say about the quality of care and attention Ms. Perry and the staff give to each resident. Sadly, after months of my Mother staying at the Lodge, she passed due to the progression of her disease. I was able to be by her side the entire time and the staff cried with me and held me after her passing. I highly recommend The Lodge. They are like family who are gifted and educated to handle the illnesses/diseases in the Memory Care Unit.

My wife has been a resident of The Lodge in Mount Pleasant, TX for over two years and we are delighted at what we have found there. Michelle Perry, the Director, is experienced, efficient, and truly loves the residents. She has brought together a staff of the highest quality and some of them have told me that they consider their work as life's calling. After some bad experiences at other Memory Care facilities, my family and I are very well pleased with the care our loved one receives. I give The Lodge very high marks and recommend this facility without reservations to any family seeking a Memory Care facility. Dr. Jay Lockhart, Tyler, TX

One thing about the lodge assisted living is our residents come before ANYTHING OR ANYONE ELSE we've been working on making our lodge family better and weeding out snakes and people who doesn't do right by our residents. If you have a family member here as you know we spoil them and love them as our own family. The entire time I've been employed at the lodge Michelle perry has bent backwards to make sure her staff and residents are taken care of so to see PEOPLE who have begged for there job back go and make up these reviews is honestly appalling to me. But what matters is our residents and the families at the end of the day. We will continue taking care and loving our residents

The care givers here are awesome, however it is apparent they are overworked, and understaffed. I have repeatedly tried to contact my father there, most of the time nobody answers the phone and if they do - rarely am I able to talk with my father. The facility is shut down to visitors so my only contact with him is through the staff.

The Staff and Caregivers are competent and kind. We were hesitant to move our father to east Texas from the metroplex, but thankfully we found The Lodge. Our Dad has been in Memory Care for almost a year at The Lodge and as it is an "aging in place" community we hope to enjoy his company for years to come. We are so grateful to everyone who works there and thankful he is now close to family.

We searched many places in NE Texas to place my 87 yr old dad when it was apparent he needed more care then the family could give. I can't begin to tell you how relieved we were when we walked into the Lodge after checking the traditional nursing homes in (and out) of the area. The Lodge was a wonderful facility with terrific people. Dad could do somethings for himself, but needed help with medicines, sometimes dressing, and with meals and such. The Lodge was the perfect place for him and he loved it. Unfortunately his health was such that he was only there for a couple months before he passed, but it was thanks to the Lodge that his last two months were spend in comfort. He truly enjoyed his little "apartment". We would have never considered assistant living if it hadn't been for my stopping in on a spur of the moment, as the Lodge was very near where my brother worked. When we learned that they had an "aging in place" license, meaning if his needs increased once he was placed he could get more help and not have to move to another facility, we were thrilled! So don't let the "Assisted Living" label throw you. Check it out if you're trying to find the best place for a loved one! You won't be disappointed. It was even less expensive then a "traditional nursing home". Thank you Donna and all who work there, for helping dad's final months be better then we could have hoped. Dusti
