I am a nurse. I have been taking care of residents at Shepherd Personal Care Home for more than 15 years. The staff and the owners are very loving, caring and attentive to the residents needs. The family members are always pleased with the care. I am an advocate for my patients and I can honestly say I have always been pleased with care provided at Shepherd. This place is always clean and i'm always greeted from one of the staff with a kind word and a smile. My love one is clean no bedsores look to be treated with good care. I'm always notified from Ms Liz for any discomfort my love one may be feeling no matter if it's just a cough or arthritis flare up I'm notified. They make it hard for you not to trust them. They treat you like family. I would recommend Shepherd Personal Care Home to anyone want their love one in a Christian base facility because they also pray with my love one.

Shepherd Personal Care Home was truly a blessing to our family. They took amazing care of my aunt, during a time when she was not able to be alone in her own house. It felt like she was in the care of our own family. Their attention to detail and level of compassionate care was above and beyond what anyone would expect. My aunt had a very positive experience and spoke highly of the management and staff. I wouldn't think twice about having her go back when needed.

The manager is very responsive, and she is both very personable and professional. She leads an effective team of staff, and you just feel at ease when you witness the sincere attentiveness of their work. I am so blessed to have found Shepherd Personal Care Home in Missouri City, Texas. A truly loving and caring place for elderly loved ones. Dad was going through a divorce and having one health issue after another. It was too much for me to handle on my own, as his only child, so I sought out the help of a professional assisted living. All the places we visited were too big and too anonymous for Dad - he actually checked himself out of the first place I moved him into ‚. Fortunately my friend's husband had heard of Shepherd Personal Care Home, where there are less than 10 residents (both Indian & non-Indian), the staff speaks Indian languages & they treat their patients as their own family. Liz is experienced in geriatric care and will guide your family's health every step of the way. Even when Dad had behavioral issues as a consequence of his dementia, Shepherd never abandoned him and worked with me to find solutions for him every step of the way. Dad passed last summer at Shepherd (June 2022), but I will be eternally grateful to Liz, Kevin & all the wonderful nurses at Shepherd for many years of loving care. I am at peace knowing he received the best care possible and we all did whatever we could for him until his final day on Earth. If you're seeking a smaller, more intimate, quality care home for your elderly family member or a place that will honor special dietary requests, I can't recommend Shepherd enough. Thank you, Shepherd, for your service to the Indian community and beyond.

My dad needs almost 24 hr supervision. My mom was having a procedure done so she was going to b out of pocket for a few wks. So we had to consider placing him somewhere temporarily. I heard abt Shepherd thru a fam friend. We went for a meeting/tour/visit. I was immediately impressed. The facility was clean. Manager interacted with my dad well. We decided to place him there temporarily. The manager communicated with me every day and night on my dads status. I visited a couple of times and he seemed extremely content in the environment. He got along with staff. They cooked him the foods he likes. My dad would have no problems going back to Shepherd. I trust them. They care for him well. I'd, hands down, use them again, if anything of the sort were to happen again. Thank u!
