Update to review below: I received a call today from the new Director of Visiting Angel's. She explained the billing for nurses. They can pop in to check on things 4 times every 6 months. Also, they did receive reimbursement from the VA and are working on a refund to us. She is checking into why we were billed for weekends that we didn't have caregivers but it is likely because the cancellation policy changed from a 48 hour notice to 7 day notice. I was thankful for the call. Now waiting to see if we get a refund in the next few days. I changed the rating from 1 star to 3 stars so far. She did explain that they are in the middle of transitioning phone, payroll and a new director. So there is a lot of change going on. Original review- A few of the more seasoned professional staff are good like Bernadette and Tina but I feel like something has happened over the past year with the administration of this organization. The main problem we are having concerns billing. My husband and I can't get anyone to return our calls. We are having multiple issues. For one, the billing to the VA looks questionable. We had a helper for my dad who only did basic functions but occasionally Visiting Angels billed the government for skilled nursing (LPN or RN). We never had a skilled nurse except once during covid a long time ago. This false billing has been ongoing. We have questions but can't get answers. Also, they have charged for weekends when nobody came to the house. Lastly, the VA dropped support for my dad but reinstated him and backdated the hours after we paid out of pocket. This has happened in the past and Visiting Angels would reimburse us after the VA reimbursed them. This time I'm still waiting to be reimbursed but they told me the VA would reimburse me. I know that's not how it works. So she said someone would get back with me but I haven't received a call. Again, no answers from Visiting Angels. It has been over a month now. I will say the care he was received was good but the administration is lacking and questionable.

Visiting Angels has been such a blessing to our family. My 98 (almost 99) year old Dad is able to live at home with the help of Visiting Angels. They are very good at communicating with us. The care he receives is beyond what we expected. Denise Coleman is truly an angel! She is very consistent, always on time, does a fantastic job with light cleanup around the house and assisting dad with whatever he needs. More importantly though she is there for or him and she makes him laugh! They are buddies! She would do anything for him. We are so blessed. Thank you Visiting Angels and thank you for sending us an angel!

Great caregivers! We recently had Visiting Angels care for my 93 year old mother following an injury to her back. We were able to have one-on-one interviews with the caregivers who would actually be taking care of her. They were kind, compassionate and friendly. We were so happy with the care she received. I will call them again if the need arises. They were amazing!!! Thank you so much!!!
