I am a past employee of Water crest and let me tell you it is all a front. The care that the residents pay for and expect is not what they receive, I have seen and reported employees for neglect, and nothing was done. They cannot keep staff because they do not care enough about the employees. The caregivers are overworked and not appreciated. When I brought things to the manger, I was blamed for things I was not doing. They way some of the caregiver's talk to the residents is belittling and just wrong. The manger staff only cares about themselves and the money. I really hope you DO NOT take your loved one here.

I am trying to reach the receptionist at the front desk at Isle at Watercrest in Mansfield, Texas by dialing the number on their website (877) 295-3747. I keep getting their corporate number or somebody that is no help at all!!!!!!$ I finally got so mad I hung up on them. How hard could it be to get their local number?????!!!!!

Initial care was as good as the beautiful appearance that you pay a premium for and yet it became more apparent that staff turnover is huge and the quality of care differs greatly between individual med techs. The quality of care continues to decline and the difference between Assisted Living, Long Term Care and Memory Care is astounding and not where you want your mother. There are no safety alarms or fall alerts in the Memory Care Unit so it means if your loved one falls in MC, theyre on the floor and on their own.

In lieu of all that is happening, I wanted to thank Isle at Watercrest for being so caring, so committed to keeping our loved ones safe. These are scary times but Isle continues to hold up a standard of excellence that exceeds everyone else. (We know!) Too many caregivers and management have shown how they have been willing to (and are) changing the way they live so that when they come to work, they know those living in assisted living and memory care are safe. Thank you!

So glad we moved my mother out of this facility. I’ll use the term “management” in reference to the onsite Executive Director and Nursing Director at Isle of Watercrest, Mansfield since they are responsible for the facility. We moved my mother to Isle at Watercrest, Mansfield about two years ago and the onsite management team was good at the time. The original Nursing Director left about 8 months after my mother moved in, and her replacement was a big disappointment. The Executive Director also left shortly after. There was not an onsite Executive Director at the facility for a long time, and it showed. They recently promoted the disappointing Nursing Director to Executive Director. I live out of state and when I visited for Christmas in 2018 my mother was noticeably weaker and less mobile. It was clear she was only eating a few bites and barely drinking anything at each meal. She did not have an appetite at all and nobody at Watercrest had a clue. Subsequent lab tests confirmed she was malnourished. She never had any lab issues prior to this. We couldn’t depend on Watercrest to carry out simple instructions without something falling through the cracks on a regular basis. Watercrest management never noticed until the family reported the issue. I decided to escalate the ongoing issues to their executive management in Southlake, TX. I escalated to their Director of Operations, and her response was “We have not been deficient in providing care to your mother. She has not voiced any complaints of discern.” My mother is 92, has memory loss, I’m the responsible party of record and their stance is – if the resident isn’t complaining there isn’t a problem? That answer didn’t work for me. I kept asking for feedback and then was abruptly given a 30-day Notice of Discharge for my mother. I hired an attorney and Watercrest rescinded the discharge. Before issuing the discharge, their long overdue assessment confirmed she would continue under the same care level she had been under since moving in. If her care level hasn’t changed for two years, then why is Watercrest suddenly unable to care for my mother any longer? Made no sense whatsoever. Integrated Senior Living, an Integrated Real Estate Group company, runs the operation at Isle of Watercrest, Mansfield. Integrated Real Estate Group is a group of real estate developers. I tried contacting other executives in Southlake and was completely ignored. http://www.integratedreg.com/team.html I pleaded with Watercrest over and over again to help my mother walk with her walker to maintain her strength and mobility. Watercrest wouldn’t even spend 15 minutes twice a week to help my mother walk. Instead, she sat in her apartment day after day, week after week. A Watercrest employee started hanging out in my mother’s apartment to goof off while my mother was in her apartment. The employee would come in to watch TV for up to an hour, talk on the phone, etc. She didn’t say a word to my mother and just made herself at home. I heard employees also hang out in resident apartments when their gone. Can’t confirm or deny, but would not be surprised. Management will shun responsibility for their mistakes to the point of contradicting other employees whose answers actually make sense. Watercrest is supposed to assess residents and their care levels every 6 months, which is a long interval to begin with. Watercrest didn’t assess my mother for 12 months and didn’t even realize it until the issues were brought up in December. I asked Watercrest to make sure my mother’s prescriptions were filled two different times before we moved. On move day, two prescriptions were missing from the bag Watercrest provided – nitroglycerin for her heart and a pain medication. After contacting my mother’s doctor, it was confirmed that Watercrest called in a rush refill an hour or so earlier (on move day). Watercrest refused to provide any explanation as to why they let my mother completely run out of meds.

My mother is a resident in the Memory Care Wing, September 1st will be 2 years. We love the staff at Watercrest. They are a family and have included us. The first time I toured Watercrest, every employee looked at me, spoke, smiled and made me feel welcome. They joke with each other and with the residents, they laugh and are happy. They speak to the residents not at them, they let them know that they care. Each person is treated with respect and dignity. My mother is not easy, with their love she is stable, safe and doing well. I have great respect for their ability to work with people that have very hard struggles.
