I am not a resident, nor do I have relatives who work or reside here. However, my husband and I visit a variety of nursing homes on a pretty regular basis (4-5 times a year) either in connection to our business or to drop off donations (magazines, etc). As a result we see many different nursing homes. Caraday of Lampasas ALWAYS stand out because the employees and residents seem so happy! Everyone is smiling, employees actually say hi and have eye contact. They thank us for stopping by. Residents are talkative. We’ve seen them dancing to live music, playing games. The facility is clean and does not smell. We do NOT see this at other local facilities. Caraday of Lampasas really stands out!

Putting my grandma in a nursing home was a hard decision but everyone at caraday has really made it a smooth transition. The staff is so caring and patience. I couldn't ask for better poeple to look after her when I'm not there.

I would like to see better patio furniture, on the back patio, and in the front of the building. The flower bends that they have out front are very beautiful with the assistant of the residents and staff. Rooms could be kept cleaner, with some more sanitizer and deodorizing. After changing some of the patients depends, they need to be dispose of properly. Maybe some gardening in the back yard would be nice. Over all the activities for the residents are very nice inside the facility and on the outings. My questions and concerns, are always answer in a timely manor along with phone calls. My wife has been there since March of 2023 as a private pay patient due to her stroke in 2022. I believe if some of the issues I mention above could be taken care of it would be a more comfortable and pleasant for the residents and family that visit. The nursing staff are very responsible concern, attentive,for all the residents.

Came to visit family in Lampasas a few weeks ago and got to spend some time with my uncle who resides here at Caraday of Lampasas. We had a wonderful hot lunch in the dining room while watching old westerns. The kitchen manager lady walked the dining room making sure everyone was happy.The aides were amazing, I'm happy. Feels good knowing he's in good hands.

Caraday of Lampasas is fantastic. After visiting the other nursing homes in our area I chose Caraday of Lampasas to provide care for my mother. They care about their residents as if they were their own family. They staff keeps me informed of any medical problems that my mother my be having. I absolutely love that they are so caring to ALL their residents .

Leticia Dewees is an amazing person..she goes above her job for all the residents. Ms. Lisa listens to the residents and tries to prepare meals they miss from home. While I don't remember all staff, everyone I've met and worked with has been amazing. As to the building and grounds, always clean. Love the new raised flower boxes out front. And omg the painted rock snake is amazingly cute and great way to involve the community.

We are so truly grateful we found Caraday of Lampasas. From my first conversation with the Admissions Director, I felt we had finally found the right place for Dad. The staff is outstanding, and everyone has been kind, compassionate, and instrumental in ensuring the best possible level of care for Dad. Each time I visit in person the employees are friendly, engage in conversation, and provide any general updates as needed. The entrance lobby feels more like a home living room vs a facility and is warm and welcoming. Throughout the day you can hear the murmur of conversation and laughter throughout the hallways. Each time I have visited there are groups of residents happily engaged in activities in the dining room. The food is also great and smells amazing when you walk by. Thank you to each and every person at Caraday of Lampasas for caring for our loved ones as if they were family!

When it became apparent that I was no longer able to take care of my aunt , I began looking at the local nursing home s. My decision to have her cared for was based on the people who would be caring for her, when it came right down to it. I was not disappointed at all in the care she received. She was taken to activities and meals, which by the way, were very tasty, balanced meals. She spoke of making friends and seemed very content. At the ending the staff provided our family 's every need for comfort. I can't tell you how grateful I am that she spent her last days with the folks at Caraway of Lampasas. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

You wouldn’t know by passing by, but this is the cutest most attentive nursing home I’ve been to in this area. From the moment you enter the door you are greeted with how each individual here is treated with specialized care. You’re first encounter is actually with some residents that love to be in the front so they can welcome you in to visit. The CNA staff know these residents and treat them like family. The effort giving to serve these elderly sweet people is incredible. The administrator is an animated active part of the residents day. I’ve seen this man help residents to their rooms, clean up common areas and wipe tables in the dining room. I can’t help but to think this shows his commitment to his building and his support to his staff. The DON is a fiery protective nurse, involved in all aspects of care and doesn’t bat an eye about jumping on a cart or helping a CNA. With all of that being said though the kitchen manager and her staff are some serious MVPs. Let me start of by saying this kitchen is a open kitchen, what I mean is the resident are able to go there anytime before, during and between meals and ask for snacks or hydration. Most places close and lockbtheir kitchens between meals. The kitchen staff is very attentive to the residents needs and changes. The other day I saw the kitchen manager walk around and check with the residents about what they liked, what other choices she could incorporate for them and just checking that they were enjoying what they were being fed. As I stood there watching lunch, several residents asked for seconds. The food is beautiful, which is good because we eat with our eyes first. The care and thought that goes into what they serve really shows. This is one nursing home that is doing things right. The social worker is involved, you’ll see her out of her office more than you will ever catch her inside of it. The physical therapy department is top notch as well with pt care. If I was looking for a place for my mom I’d choose Caraday of Lampasas. If you need peace of mind that someone is loving your loved one the way you love them, then this is the place for you.

The folks at Caraday are awesome! I have been caring for my late stage Alzheimer’s mother the best I could but when it became more than we could do at home they were so helpful in getting her in and she was quickly settled and happy (we were worried the change would be hard for her) everyone we have encountered at Caraday has been kind and helpful to us and my mom is happy there which is the most important thing for us.

We Love Caraday of Lampasas & thank you for taking the best possible care of my sister. From the first call to a thorough tour the entire staff moved to get her moved in. We have never seen such incredible staff; seriously they are all smiling, positive, caring and upbeat! Tish is truly amazing and sweet but so very efficient and professional. Bob was just a genuinely happy, caring and encouraging person. Loretta, Rusty and so many I have not mentioned went above and beyond to help not only my sister transition to her new home but to show our family such amazing compassion is unheard of. Caraday of Lampasas, Has been such a BLESSING to our family!!!! In early March 2019 we had to make a huge decision about my dad's well-being. And though it was a hard decision it was a good decision. The Nursing Staff that cares for my dad treats him with the Dignity and Respect that he deserves, as if he was still living at home. Every time We go to visit him they tell us what joy he his. And when there are any concerns that need to be addressed, they get addressed, and corrected if needed, and his Favorite Nurse's do a Great Job on keeping us posted ... And ya better believe he has favorites. NOW don't get me started with the food that Caraday Of Lampasas serves. The food my Dad receives is VERY appealing, and appetizing, and the best thing about it is they offer guest trays so that we can Enjoy a Meal with Him. Like I said Earlier Caraday of Lampasas has Been such a Blessing to our Family, especially to my DAD!!!!

In about a six month period my wife who suffers with Alzhiemers was in three nursing homes that we were not happy with. So glad we found Caraday. They have taken very good care of her from the start. She seems to be happy here, they take very good care of her and the food is great. She even managed to gain a little weight. All the employees are very friendly and keep the facility spotless at all times.
