We placed my mother with Avalon once she reached the stage of needing more than people still working could provide. She stayed 2 1/2 years until the horrible disease of dementia charged it's ultimate price. The care giving people at Avalon are absolute ANGELS!! My mother could be quite difficult at times, but they treated her with kindness and dignity. And they held my hand as I fretted through all of the inevitable changes in Mom. They're familiar with memory diseases and know how to best work with people who have them. Way more than me! It's a nice facility - not huge and institution like. They keep a close eye on the residents there and kept me informed when there was any indication at all of needing medical attention. There are mobile doctors, dentists, even a podiatrist that visit the facility regularly. They also have someone come in to do haircuts or whatever other type "beauty" treatment might be wanted. We felt like Mom was taken care of absolutely as well as a person with dementia will allow. Mom isn't with us anymore, but I still thank the stars that Avalon was there when we needed them!

We did quite a bit of research for my sister’s care, as my family was in denial my sister even needed care. Friends told us to call brokers, but those calls led nowhere, as we needed very specific questions answered for a memory care facility I felt we could depend on. When it came time, my sister was expedited through the process quickly and comfortably. She is flourishing, as she now takes her medicine daily, she gets 3 “really good” meals a day, and is treated with respect. Respect is observed each and every time I visit, but the way she looks at her caregivers is why I am still so confident in the decision of Avalon. The staff here are gracious to the residents, gracious to guests and family members, but most of all, the way they work together to make a home feeling, is what sets Avalon apart. Kudos to the Atascocita group!

We made the difficult decision to move my mother into a memory care facility almost two years ago. Choosing Avalon Memory Care made this choice so much easier and less stressful as it was clear she would be well taken care of. I loved the homey feeling of the place right away. I have been very happy with the quality of care and regular loving attention she is given. Any concerns or requests are handled quickly and professionally, and the manager is quick to share information about any issues that arise. I appreciate the low turn-over rate of their employees as this has allowed the staff to get to know her better and anticipate her needs. The staff has handled the challenges of the COVID outbreak with care and compassion for both the residents and their families who are struggling with not being able to see them regularly. I would definitely recommend Avalon to anyone looking for memory care for a loved one.

Really liked the people there, very pleasant staff, looked at all Memory care in NE Houston area . All are expensive decided on all inclusive as dad got worse and many more issues the price didnt drastically increase. Dad liked the lodge type setting, country style dining, nice lg rooms and bath. I ate dinner with dad many times and the food was always good.

My 91 year old mother has lived in the Timber Forest location of Avalon Memory Care for over two years. It is a beautiful, clean, and comfortable environment with professional and kind caregivers. Mother suffers from dementia and gets around in a wheelchair. She is able to feed herself, but requires assistance with most tasks like personal hygiene, toileting, and dressing. The Avalon staff is readily available for all her needs. We are happy that our mother is so content and well cared for. We highly recommend this facility to others.

Avalon was a wonderful facility for my mom. Even though she was only there for a month before she passed away peacefully from end-stage dementia, they were very kind, loving, and accommodating to us. It was a great place for her with a low capacity and relatively large staff that steps in to help no matter what their job or title is. All the residents are encouraged to be in their living or dining space or in the secured outdoor space, not cooped up in their rooms. The staff interacts with and cares for all the residents. I would definitely recommend Avalon in Humble-Atascocita, TX.

Avalon Memory Care treats everyone like family and has taken great care of my dad. He feels like he is at home with the atmosphere and the home cooked meals. Also, Meg does a fantastic job keeping everyone informed of upcoming events.

When it became time to find professional care for Dad, I made vists to several facilities in the area. I knew as soon as I entered Avalon, that this was a special place. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Some of the residents were engaged in leader led activities. Others were sitting comfortably in the group TV area. I was shown a variety of shared and private spaces that were all clean and bright. After Dad moved in, he quickly became at home with the residents and staff. He never seemed unhappy or out of place. Visits were encouraged. We even had a very special Thanksgiving meal where family members joined in an evening meal. The staff were friendly and professional. Whenever I visited, I was greeted at the door and welcomed as an extended family member. Several of the staff, lovingly referred to him as Dad, or Brother Bob. After the lockdown, the staff at Avalon implemented methods for us to continue to visit, going out of their way to insure that we were never out of touch. I was encouraged to call at anytime, just to check in. My brothers, sister and I are so grateful for the loving care provided by the staff at Avalon for Dad in his final years. If you are looking for a home for mom or dad, I encourage you to visit.

My mother was one of the first residents at the Atascocita Avalon Memory care facility that opened a little over two years ago. She recently passed away after battling dementia for 13 years. Her last six years were spent in a Memory Care setting at three different locations. Each facility was distinctly different. For our family, Avalon has been the best facility by far. The facility is clean, home cooked food is good and most importantly, the staff for the most part has been head and shoulders above any we have dealt with before. Mom was hospitalized a couple times during her stay at Avalon and each time she returned the staff, led by Meg, was there to do whatever was needed to complete her recovery. One of the important reasons we loved this facility is the involvement of the leader (Meg). Her leading by example set a high standard for others to follow. Near the end, the undeniable compassion shown to my mom and our family is something we will not forget.

My mother was a resident at the Avalon Memory Care in Atascocita, Tx. The facility was always very clean and the aroma from the home cooking made you feel right at home. I cant say enough about the staff and care givers; everyone treated my mother and our family members like we were family. The care, compassion and love that my mother received was a true blessing.

I worked at this facility last year. Ive worked at a lot of places, I left because my dad, had cancer otherwise Id still be at Avalon!! Nothing compares to it!! Theres so much care, love, help, its so clean I enjoyed it so much everybody becomes family!! I want to go back no other job compares TEAM THEY know how to treat the Patients and caregivers

Avalon has some of the most compassionate caregivers ever. They care for each resident as if they were their own relative. Our mom loves her house. We would not want her anywhere else. Avalon is very clean and well kept at all times. There is no other place we would want our mom to spend her final years than at Avalon. Mom is happy and so are we! !

As a new caregiver I can say that Avalon, by far at this cummunity, has the best team of caregivers. I am happy to be a part of the caregiving family here, they have taught me so much about what it takes to be a caregiver. Not only have they showed me how amazing the team is at caring but they have also showed me a deeper meaning to family.
