I don't write many reviews but this facility deserves my 5 star review. My mom has lived there now for a year, and we all feel so lucky to have found the facility. The staff is incredibly nice. The facility itself is so well-maintained. The room is well sized for her needs. I have to say the food is actually good. We have had lunch there with my mom, and it's great. They have an in-house service that offers la carte medical services. We use them to have my mom's meds dispensed twice a day. Mom loves the technicians that give her the meds. It's also a peace-of-mind thing that someone sees my mom twice a day. If they notice anything unusual, they give us a call. This is a much cheaper option than assisted living, which my mom does not need now. My wife and I both said we would move into the place if we needed a retirement community.

My mom has been a resident at Village on the Park for many years. She has been through the entire system from independent living to assisted living and is now in memory care. She has always been shown kindness, compassion, and the best of care at Village on the Park. I toured many places in my quest to find the perfect spot for my mom because I wanted her to have the most amazing final chapter of her life and we found it here.

I have been communicating with Kayle at Village on the Park Steeplechase for a couple of months, on and off. We did an initial visit and a return visit after a recommendation from a dementia care consultant, wanting to settle my mom in an independent living apartment, so I also had conversations with the home care support agency that serves clients on site. It’s truly a wonderful place; many of the staff have been there for the long term, which means so much in terms of being confident that it’s a positive environment where people are working well together to support their senior residents. Kayle was so helpful with my many question and the attention to detail there is truly impressive. It’s a vibrant environment that seems like it will be a pleasure to live in.

My mom has been here for over 3 years. I can tell you it has become a family experience for her. From Jontel at concierge, HHR staff that bring her daily medication to Elizabeth Duval in resident shuttle services. Mom has received the kindness, love and attention that makes me feel comfortable for her to be living there. The facility is clean and the food is great. They all go above and beyond to make sure that the residents feel that this place is their home and not just a place to stay. Elizabeth visits my mom daily. Has even taken her dog for walks. I can truly say Jontel and Elizabeth are a part of our family not just employees where my mom resides. It has been a great decision to have my mom move there and her life is a lot less complicated. Thank you VOP Steeplchase and thank you Jontel and Elizabeth.

I wanted to give praise to Michelle Furhman, Director Assisted Living. I am an Independant Living Resident and since she has been the intermittent Director of the Independant residents, I have seen significant improvement. The following are just a few things she has contributed. 1. I eat at Table 12 and for the past year or so, it has been the table of choice for several residents. She has made it to where the table will seat up to 12 diners and we all appreciate it. 2. She has improved the Activities Dept. 3. During the Ice Cream Social, it had gotten to where it was extremely difficult for some to get there ice cream and make it back to the table. She has made improvements and is now easier. 4. She identified employees who were not dedicated and has since replaced them. 5. Michelle is extremely dedicated to her job and treats all of the residents as if we were her grandparents. 6. She does not accept mediocracy. 7. Michelle is proactive and identifies and solves small problems before they become large problems. She is a keeper! Best regards, Robert Paschal Apt. 522

The staff there are amazing!!! They are so dedicated and loving to their residents. They do so many fun and creative social events with them and really get them involved. Every time I’ve visited the building, the residents seem very happy.

Mr. Fredy Montes and his team are an amazing group over at Village on the Park. Their residents are always put together and happy. This community is my favorite to visit as it has the best homey and grandma's house feel to it. This is the first community I consider when placing my patients. Thank you for being so wonderful!!

My parents have been living there for two years now and feel very safe. They are comfortable and have made some friends. The staff really cares about the residents and tries to make everyone feel a part of the facility. Most importantly to me, it always smells good. I would recommend VOP to anyone.

We had to move my Mother into a Assisted living facility a few months ago. I needed something not too far away from me and was decent at the same time. I did Research checked into several places. Ended up choosing Villages On The Park Steeple chase. I have to say I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Everyone I mean everyone on the staff I have come in contact with has been kind and helpful. Any question I have is answered without ever making me feel like a burden. I have had to call many times since this is all new to me and not once did they make me feel like it was a problem. It’s a very clean and bright place. Honestly I would recommend it to anyone.

My mom moved into the independent living section of VOP Steeplechase in October 2020. VOP Steeplechase is always impeccably clean and the meals are wonderful (my mom loves the desserts). In fact, everything at this community is first class. The staff at VOP Steeplechase are very friendly and know the residents on a first name basis. Terri, Lorraine and Jasmine go out of their way to assist in any way that they can. It’s apparent the residents’ needs come first and they truly care and are concerned for the well-being of the residents at VOP Steeplechase. I highly recommend Village on the Park Steeplechase.

My mother has lived in the cottages at Village on the Park Steeplechase for over 5 years. The cottages have great 1 & 2 bedroom homes with a garage. Maintenance is excellent! I am SO thankful that during this pandemic The Village has taken the utmost care in keeping the residents & staff safe & well. They put the utmost safety measures into place immediately. The temperatures of the residents, as well as staff, are taken daily. Due to their diligence, none of the residents have become ill with COVID. Also, Terri, the Director, has made sure that the residents, as well as their families, receive up to date communication. These letters cover essential protocol procedures, updates on the health of the community, any community updates & encouragement. Most importantly, Terri stresses that anyone may call for anything. It is, especially stressed that if anyone is feeling lonely or sad, to please let them know. I appreciate all that Terri and the staff have done and are continuing to do to make my mother and the other residents feel safe & well taken care of. Susan Thankful Daughter

I am very thankful for Village on the Park Steeplechase. My mom was one of the first to move into the new Assisted living wing over 5 1/2 yrs ago. There have been ups and downs with management over those years. Currently they have great management with Terri, executive director, and Ann, resident care director for Assistant living. They are doing a great job keeping everyone safe. The staff are so friendly and helpful for me. Receptionists/ helping front desk: Joantel, RC, Elizabeth, Morena, Holly. Med techs and aides: Charmion, Bernice, Sunny, Archie, Anna, Elaine, Ivette, Gaby, Macaula, Alondra, and more...so many wonderful and caring employees. Thank you for helping me with my mom in this chapter of her life.

Our mother moved into Independent Living in October 2018. VOP has been a good place for her. It is a friendly atmosphere and they care about the residents' well being. The Director, Terri and her professional staff, work hard to make sure the residents feel heard, are happy and stay safe. The front desk team, to name a few, Joantel and Elizabeth, are courteous, caring and strive hard to help in the many ways they are needed. Juan and Andres, Maintenance staff, work hard to provide a well maintained and lovely facility. They have always been kind and willing to assist the residents and take care of any needs that they have. Holly/Activities Director is friendly and open to providing creative ways to gather the residents under this new "normal". Management has done a good job communicating each week and keeping everyone informed, which has been very helpful during these unprecedented times. We are grateful for VOP and recommend it based on our positive experiences.

The food is great and they always have activities and things going. In todays environment it's comforting and nice to find a facility that really cares about their residents. Great place.

First time I attended the dinner dance at the Village last Thursday, Feb. 20th. I'm impressed with the quality of the facility. It's immaculate. I'm very well treated by the courteous and friendly staff. Lorrraine, Holly were super in welcoming and entertaining visitors like me. The whole evening was fun and had a positive impact on me. I tip my hat off to the Village organization. Thank you for such wonderful evening.

My mother started in Assisted Living and moved to Independent Living shortly thereafter. The staff in both areas have been extremely friendly and helpful. The VOP staff have all worked to make sure we are settled, comfortable and happy with our mother's new home. They are always smiling and willing to help and we are comfortable that our mother is safe and looked after when we are not there. We are so pleased with our choice of this community for her golden years.

Village on the Park is a "Family Affair" for me! My dad lives in Memory Care, my mom in an Independent Cottage, my husband's uncle in an Independent Apartment, and now both my in-laws moving in to an Independent Cottage. I think the above says it all. Calvin, the Executive Director, and his staff, have become extensions of my family. They work and give from the "heart." Doesn't get much better...VP employees being family... giving... and pouring love daily... to others loved ones!

I LIVED AT VOP ABOUT 3 YEARS (RIGHT AFTER MY STROKE). THE STAFF, RESIDENTS, FOOD, DECOR, SERVICES, ENTERTAINMENT, TRIPS & SWIMMING POOL WERE GREAT. OTHER ACTIVITIES I ENJOYED WERE WII (computer) BOWLING AND SKIP BO (my favorite card game). I USED A WALKER BUT IN 2010 I WAS NOT INDEPENDENT ANY MORE SO HAD TO MOVE. I HAD BROKEN MY BACK AND HAD NO ONE TO PUSH ME TO MEALS (YOU MUST MOVE AROUND BY YOURSELF TO BE CONSIDERED INDEPENDENT). I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE BUILDING IN CASE OF FIRE FOR EXAMPLE. I REALLY MISS IT. THEY NOW HAVE ASSISTED LIVING WHERE I WOULD BE ACCEPTED. HOWEVER, IT'S TOO EXPENSIVE FOR ME TO MOVE BACK NOW.
