My aunt and uncle have lived here for few years now and they love it. The amenities are always very clean. They personal is always very out going and nice. Specifically Yessenia the receptionist she is so patient, sweet and very informative. I’m sure my aunt and uncle drive her crazy lol but she does not show it. She is always ready to help and easily turns a frustrated situation in to a positive outcome with her good vibes !

This is a great place for seniors! My in-laws live here and they have had a great experience. There are many activities that they can participate in and have made some close friends. This is a very inviting place!

There are many highly rated senior living communities in the Houston area, but I would like to share the wonderful experience we have had at The Abbey at Westminster Plaza and believe it is one of the greater communities in our area. My Dad moved into the Assisted Living community of The Abbey in Apr 2021 after living at the Indep Living community at The Abbey since Mar 2016. The dedicated and caring staff at the Assisted Living community took the time and made my Dad so comfortable in the transition to Assisted Living. I found comfort and peace of mind knowing my Dad was being well cared for and his needs were being met. The kindness and respect from the staff was shown by all, the caregivers, nursing, dining, recreational and housekeeping. My Dad and I have always been pleased with the accommodations, communication, nursing, security and the food, especially the food, at both communities are our reasons why The Abbey is one of the greater senior living communities in Houston.

My mom lived at The Abbey at Westminster Plaza for 2 years before she died at almost 92 years of age. She was always treated very well by the entire staff. One major thing the aids on my moms floor did to help me, I will never forget.....They all would tell me how my mother remembers more than i realized. My mother told them she was about to be a great grandmother for the first time and the baby was a girl.. My mom mentioned to the aids that she had saved a Cabbage Patch Doll for her first great granddaughter. My mom died 6 weeks before her first great grand baby was born. I was able to find the Cabbage Patch Doll and give it to my Grand daughter and let her parents know it was specifically from my mom, for this was her wish.

My mom moved into The Abbey this past August. Its a wonderful facility and has beautiful rooms. My mom is in the assisted living side. I cannot say enough for the activity director, Jill, and her helpers. They provide so many different ways for the residents to take part in all kinds of activities. They do a wonderful job and that is my moms favorite place to go. She doesnt just stay in her apartment all day, but gets out to attend the classes and crafts and whatever outings they have. Definitely would recommend if you are looking for a place for your loved one.

If I could give The Abbey a 10 star I would!! My 99 year old Mother has lived at The Abbey for nearing 4 years. The love and respect she as well as our family has been shown is truly family like. We feel we have an extended family. The love and friendships are authentic. I could write a page about the positives of The Abbey. Every time we dine at The Abbey with Mom I feel as though I am on a cruise ship. There are always so many delicious and creative options. One can certainly follow a healthy diet there! Do not hesitate to seriously consider The Abbey. You wont be disappointed with the attentiveness and kindness.

I have had wonderful experiences with The Abbey. Personally, I have had 2 of my grandmothers dear friends and my Aunt stay here at the Abbey. The staff is caring and knowledgeable and Audra is very involved and proactive about the residents needs. Robin has helped me with any questions I have had and always has a welcoming and positive attitude. Jill does an excellent job with activities for all the residents and sets up fun outings for residents. Definitely a place to consider for your loved one and a great choice for memory care needs.

The Abbey at Westminster Plaza is a five star retirement community. The Management and staff, the food, amenities, and their attention to emergency situations are outstanding. I recently had a bilateral cranial stroke, and the knowledge and speed of The Abbey staff and the Houston Fire Department were incredible. They both saved my life! I highly recommend The Abbey at Westminster Plaza.

After our home was flooded, our first choice was The Abbey at Westminster Plaza. My requirements were met..an entrance and an exit to my apartment, superb prepared meals & desserts. The fitness center is a plus for my Husband! In addition to the activities, the events that are offered are wonderful. We love it here!

My mother has lived at the Abbey for several years. Their staff and management are second to none. The facility is very highly maintained as well as the food chef prepares meals like a 4 star restaurant. I highly recommend this facility. The head nurse in charge is awesome. Very compassionate and concerned for her clients.

Last year we helped my parents move from the house that they had lived in for more than fifty years. In preparation for this move, my brother made an extensive review of independent living facilities in Houston. A decision was almost made to sign with another organization when my brother had a conversation with a friend. This friend had recently helped his parents relocate to the Abbey and advised my brother not to make a decision until they visited there. That visit was made and my parents moved into the Abbey shortly thereafter. This has proven to be an outstanding choice for our parents, and one that we would make again wholeheartedly. Between the facilities and, most of all, the dedicated and caring staff, the Abbey was clearly the best choice for our parents. If you are considering a move for your loved ones, we strongly encourage you to visit the Abbey.

I moved to The Abbey at Westminster Plaza about a year ago. I love the food, and especially the exercise programs. I enjoy Chair Yoga, Water Aerobics, Tai Chi, and utilize the exercise machines. The Fitness Director is knowledgeable and customizes my fitness program. The well-organized activities, outings, and nightly movies are top notch. People are very friendly and I have made many friends. The staff is helpful and I love living here.

Moving my Mom and Dad out of their house of 40 years in the Memorial area had all the makings of a nightmare. Much to my delight the Abbey made it a sweet dream. My parents love the Abbey. The staff, accommodations and food are all top notch. We looked at them all: Buckingham, Park Plaza and others. My parents made the right choice and have not regretted it one ounce. Side note: My dad actually passed away while living at the Abbey. The Abbey really showed its class with a very genuine compassion for my mother and I am so thankful to them. It has made my mothers transition a thousand times easier.

After reviewing 12 different Independent Living communities, I had the privilege of being one of the first people to move in to The Abbey at Westminster Plaza. After two and a half years, and being one of the first, I can truthfully say I enjoy everything about The Abbey. Mainly, about the people that have moved in, and become a part of our large family of friends. The outstanding restaurant has been an exciting feature for a Mother that has cooked for a large family, and that I now can relax and enjoy. Our outstanding staff has made growing old a real exciting adventure.

The Abbey has been every thing that I wanted in an Independent Living Community when the decision was made to downsize. There are a variety of apartments to satisfy the individual requirements. The Dining Room is comparable to one of Houstons better dining experiences with a wide variety of items on the menu. There are Activity and Fitness personnel for your mental and physical well being, as well as, various outside bus excursions. But to make it all work, it takes a Staff that cares and the Abbey has that here plus residents that are equally as friendly.

My husband & I moved in in January 2015. We both love it very much. He passed away a year later, but this is where he wanted me because everyone is so nice and we had met so many friends in just a year. The staff here is wonderful. The only thing I dont care for is not enough storagedrawers in the master bath.

When I decided to move to a retirement community here in Houston I looked at several . At that time I thought the Abbey was the best and offered more for the money. After two and one half years there has been nothing to change my opinion . I still believe the Abbey offers the best retirement living in Houston. The staff ,facilities,and residents are outstanding. After months of looking at many facilities, I visited the Abbey and found it to be unique, very special, so clean, so inviting, so warm and with people so sincerely caring. I moved my mom in with much reluctance on her part, however, soon she was calling the Abbey her home. We visit her often and find the staff as attentive as the first week we moved her in! I see our Assisted Living Manager Steven, Leasing Director Jessica addressing the many needs of families like myself, Nurse Carla constantly monitoring our loved ones and their endearing receptionist Judith...and Im just naming a few that give me, my family peace of mind. Its like an extended family, and we and my mom feel very blessed to have found and be at the Abbey Assisted Living at Westminster Plaza!
