I cannot express the level of gratitude our family feels towards this amazing facility who cared for my mom in her final months of life. I knew the instant I walked in that this place was special. Their faith based approach to everything they do from the caretakers to the executive director gives them an edge over other facilities. The top admin team from Alexis, the community resource director, and the executive director, Jeni, to their heath service director, Raeanne, and even Ricardo, the maintenance man; I had every one of their cell numbers programmed into my phone. Each one extended warmth and compassion towards my mom and our family until her final breath. When she went on hospice, I could have never imagined that a hospice nurse would play such a pivotal roll in our lives. There are no words for how grateful we are to Wendy who stayed after hours and came in on days off to tend to my mom's needs. Not knowing Wendy and Alexis were at my mom's funeral during the service, we made sure to mention Oakridge in our eulogy. When care facility personnel show up for a funeral, that says something! Our family will continue to reflect on the blessings we received from this facility for a lifetime. There really are earth angels among us; many work here.

As we are considering a place of care and continued support for Dad we were impressed with the sense of community represented here. It was beautiful and honored it's residents respectfully as it appeared on our first visit. We would definitely make a second visit here when we are ready to make a commitment.

I just wanted to share on my experience with my Dad living at Oakridge. I gave it 5 stars because they deserve it. My dad was always cared for, When I had Questions they were there to help! No matter what time I texted Jeni the director she always addressed my concerns. The Center was always clean. When my Dad (Billie Harris) Was going through stages of Dementia the staff was there to advise me and give me a hug. Just knowing they understood how I felt gave me comfort and when my Dad was passing they were a 10 star rating. They comforted me and advised me on steps to take and also gave me time after he passed to gather his belongings. I have many friends that live and work there that I still will visit weekly. Thank You So Much Oakridge!

Over a year ago, we toured Oak Ridge Alzheimer's Special Care Center after visiting a few other places in the area for a family member. The minute we walked in, I knew this place would be it! The other facilities we toured that day had a horrible urine smell and were sadly understaffed. I noticed the absence of odor when we walked through the Oak Ridge door. The staff and leadership at this location are excellent! The follow-up and follow-through with the director, Jen, and the staff to answer our questions during the admission process were incredible. This facility is faith-based, has lower occupancy (less than 50 residents), and is very hands-on with the residents with monthly activities and events; a retired minister holds a church service every week, and Pastor Ja comes by monthly for a sing-along of church hymns. Overall, we are pleased with Director Jen and the medical staff at Oak Ridge ASCC. Keep up the good work, and thank you!

I went with a childhood friend to see his father. I was impressed with the hospitality and the care my friends father is receiving. From the cleanliness of the community to the activities taking place, I was impressed. The staff was very friendly, from the welcome to the end of the visit.

To begin, my precious wife is the most important anything in my life beside my God! I could not be more thrilled with the thoughtfulness of Director Jeni Burton, Alexis Stoner, activities director or head nurse Raeanne Ellis. If you turned out the lights, these three would light up the Center! I have found all other members of the team to be thoughtful and caring. No place like this can be or ever will be perfect, but Oak Ridge is a wonderful home for my special lady! Don’t go looking for perfection! It does not exist! But Oak Right has love, laughter and there are no odors!! Your loved one deserves this place!!!

Oak Ridge is a very nice facility. The building is clean , spacious and welcoming. The staff is caring and they always have smiles on their faces. The environment is friendly and the residents are well taken care of and groomed. If I had a loved one who needed to be placed in a memory care facility this would be the place.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. I have worked with these wonderful people for a couple of years now, and as an outside provider I can tell you they are doing things right. The community is always lively with entertainment and the Community always smells nice, and is clean. Jenni and Alexis have done great things. I highly recommend this community for anyone looking for their loved ones new home away from home.

My Mother has been a residence here for over a year now. There have been many changes due to Covid, flooding, and changes in personell. However, each one that stays seems to have something special to offer the residents. It is like a home away from home for most. I appreciate the care given to my Mother and the kindness shown to all who visit. It is an amazing place and has wonderful loving caregivers. Thank you and God bless all.

So far so good! My father in law has been there about 6 weeks now. A very tough decision for the family. Good communication and addresses our concerns. Decided to put camera in room to ease our worries. They seem to be taking good care of him. Update: was 5 stars, changed to 3. Not enough staff for advanced/more care. Definitely use a camera!

I'm a Mobile Notary Public and one of the residence hired me to provide notary services at her home at The Village at Silver Sage. From the minute I walked in this place I just knew this is a perfect place to call home for the elderly needing full/assisted living care. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. It was so refreshing to just look around and see how really well the staff treats their clients. You can just tell everyone that works here loves the job they are doing (I visit lots of homes for my notary services and I've not come across a home as good as this one!). When that time comes for my parents to choose I hope we can find something similar to The Village!

The Village at Silver Sage absolutely stellar! My father is a resident there and they truly care for him (and us) as family. Because of many factors, his needs are extensive and complicated. The staff is extremely caring, accommodating, conscientious and encouraging. In this difficult chapter for our family, it is a comfort that we can trust my dad's care to this wonderful facility. On another note, we had a very negative experience (dreadful) with another facility. We simply didn't understand all of the things we needed to ask or know. If you're looking for a place for a loved one, please consult with Senior Living Specialists. They are local to DFW, have very high standards, they have seen every facility in person and know who is good and who is not. They were critical in finding the right match (The Village at Silver Sage) for my dad's care.

My mother has resided at this facility for over 2 years now. We have gone through way too many staff changes in this time and it has had a detrimental effect on the residents. My Mother becomes attached to staff members and then they disappear with no explanation. Management says they cannot give any information on the former staff member which just adds to the frustration we experience. There have been management changes as well, and each one has been worse than the previous one. My Mother had a recent hospital stay and I inquired of this facility if I could expect that my mom would get additional assistance when she was dismissed as her needs had changed. I was assured that they could handle the changes and this assurance made me allow my Mother to return instead of leaving for a nursing home or a rehab facility. That lasted 2 weeks and then I was told by the director that they could no longer provide the extra care as they only did it as a courtesy and never intended to permanently change her care. Very unsatisfied at this point. This was a very caring place at one time, but with the exception of a handful of staff members and Med techs, this is no longer the case.

It’s always hard when you have to depend on others to care for your loved ones. Our family feels blessed to have found , The Village at Silver Sage. The management and care staff are the very best. Whenever I have a question or just need reassurance , they are always available. Their immediate communication with the doctor is second to none. Putting moms care in their hands has allowed her to keep her dignity and thrive. It has given our family peace and comfort . Thank you .
