Grand Brook Memory Care has truly exceeded all of my expectations. I had to move my grandmother from her previous memory care home. She has been living here for a short time now, and the improvement in her quality of life and well-being in such a short amount of time has been truly remarkable. The staff is exceptional, always going above and beyond to ensure her comfort and well-being, treating her with dignity and respect. They truly care about each and every resident and you can feel the genuineness in that when you meet them. All of the staff members know each resident by name and know their stories - it's incredible. The memory care is outstanding, with activities designed to stimulate and engage residents. My grandma never left her room at her old place and now she is out of her room all day long interacting with others. The facility itself is warm and welcoming, with beautiful gardens and common areas along with cozy and comfortable rooms for each resident. The peace of mind I have gained and the anxiety that has diminished knowing my grandmother is in such capable hands is invaluable. I feel truly blessed to have found this little treasure of a home for her.

My mother has been a resident of Grandview Memory Care for 6 years. Each year I am more impressed and grateful for the wonderful care she has received. The caregivers genuinely show care and compassion for all the residents. It is so nice to have doctors and dentists come right to her for check ups. We also have the option to have a salon specialist cut, style hair, and give manicure/ pedicure. In addition, the daily activities of exercise, trivia, bingo, music and dancing are wonderful. I even enjoy being apart of these activities. 6 years ago my mom was a challenge and she was treated with compassion. As she has declined I have been continually posted with updates on any changes taking place. Now my mother is receiving Hopice services. Grandbrook works hand in hand with the hospice social workers and caregivers. Having a facility take your loved one is an emotional and tough decision. When I have struggled with this I have been given constant support from Janene, Tangi and other caregivers. I would recommend Grandbrook Memory Care to anyone seeking a caring, supportive and compassionate facility for your loved one.

The caregivers are amazing and very hard working people, they constantly stay busy making sure the residents are safe and well taken care of. Unfortunately, I've noticed that the Director seems to be forgetful at times, ( and this is concerning to me) Also the staff is not appreciated, this is also concerning, because I know they go above and beyond for our family members. They are what keeps the facility running smoothly.

I am very pleased with everything about Grand Brook Memory Care of Richardson/N Garland. My wife of 60 years has been a resident at Grand Brook for 10 months. It is well managed, employs some very compassionate and attentive care givers, the facilities are nice and are well maintained, the activities/programs for the residents are well thought out and beneficial for the residents, and the food is good. Management of this facility is "hands on" and knows what is happening in the center and management is open to a dialog about individual resident care and receives constructive criticism well. As with most things, what you get out of some activity or service is based upon what you put into that activity or service. I try to apply this principle and participate in most of the activities offered by Grand Brook--such activities as the meals/parties provided for the residents and their family, and attending and participating in the monthly support group meeting held specifically for the families of residents. There are several men whose wives are a resident at Grand Brook. We have met together as a group of men to discuss the personal impact on those of us whose wife is a resident of Grand Brook. Many of the caregivers and staff at Grand Brook are followers of Jesus Christ and that relationship with Jesus influences their approach to caregiving as well as influencing their personal relationship with the residents--and that is VERY important to me. Overall, I give Grand Brook Memory Care of Richardson/N. Garland a five star rating. Bob W.

I've written a couple not-so-happy reviews of other facilities in the last few months, so I'm delighted to post this one. Our family's only regret is not having found Grand Brook sooner (I always thought memory care was exclusively for residents who would wander without a locked door); I had pretty much written off all senior care providers after a series of disappointing experiences, first in assisted living and then in skilled nursing and rehab. But Grand Brook was amazing- from start to finish, top to bottom, a first class operation. My mother was there in August 2022, after her second hospitalization in 3 months, resulting from the rehab she was in not being able to convince her to drink, eat, move, take her medications... She was in bed almost 24/7 and steadily going downhill. When she got to Grand Brook, they had her spending the whole day in the common area, eating three meals a day, drinking water, taking her medicines. The change was night and day. The staff's communication with us was over the top good, their hospice provider is much, much better than the hospice she was on at the old place, the Executive Director is warm & engaged, hands on, a dynamo of energy. I really can't say enough good things about this facility. Unfortunately, the damage was done in terms of my mom's body, and she passed away only 2 weeks after arriving. The compassion and support at the end, both by Grand Brook and by the hospice team was excellent. My mom was a tough cookie, and Grand Brook cared for her with grace and professionalism.

I am so glad that Grand Brook Memory Care was recommended to me by a friend! My older brother desperately needed a good facility to look after him after suffering a serious fall and head injury last year. Grand Brook was an excellent fit for fulfilling his care needs. The setting is a beautifully kept building and grounds located on Shiloh Road between Arapaho and Campbell Roads in Garland, Texas. The staff is very professional and caring, and the caretakers are all very patient, loving, and caring in providing the best of care for your loved one. I worried about my brother daily, but my mind was always at ease regarding the care and love he was receiving. I was totally impressed from the day I walked in on my first visit until the last day he was there. He passed away on February 12, 2022. I will always love him and I miss him. Sue Kyte

It has taken a while for life to get back to some sort of normal since my father died. Grand Brook was the best thing I ever did for my father. The first day there, they potted plants outside and Lauren sent me a picture of my dad smiling. I had not seen him smile in over a year. They allowed the family to put a Ring camera in his room. I check constantly and always saw nothing but loving care being given to my father. Dad knew no one but my sister, his wife and myself were strangers who took care of him but he seemed at peace at Grand Brook. He had a hard time staying in bed till Grand Brook put him on a regular schedule which kept his mind occupied. The sweet ladies he argued with, caressed is head and rocked him on his bed till he laid down and went to sleep early into the morning, are God’s Angels. Anytime I called the head nurse or the administrator they would take my call and listen to me attentively. They would spoon feed my dad and treat him with the dignity he deserved. I wish I would have moved him there months earlier. I was able to truly visit with my father while he was there. Grand Brook will never know how much they gave me by taking such excellent care of my father. I AM ETERNALLY GRATEFUL!

When it became apparent that my mother needed memory care, it was important to the family that the facility was not too big, not too small, but just right so that she would receive the necessary attention and required assistance. We could not have found a more perfect facility than Grand Brook! Not only was it the ideal size for our preferences, each staff member is engaged, compassionate, and devoted. Within 36 hours of Mom moving in to Grand Brook, Janene Boughton (Executive Director) sent pictures of Mom to show how nicely she had settled in. My family feels blessed to have found such a wonderful new home for Mom. With sincere gratitude to everyone at Grand Brook!

Had my Grandpa recently a resident there and he just passed but the staff and care there went above and beyond for not only his care while he was there but also just making our family feel welcome and taken care of while he was in his end life stages. The caregivers, nurses and all the staff you could just see the passion and love they have for these residents. I am an Occupational Therapist that has worked in settings like this and was blown away ♥ Thank you Grand Brook for loving my Grandpa and taking great care of him because that is all we wanted and he needed!

Searching for the perfect place for an aging parent was painstakingly difficult. With the help of a senior care advisor, I found Grand Brook. This facility met all the requirements needed to care for my dad, as did others, on paper. It was when we made a visit, met the director and staff, toured the building and chatted with residents, that we knew GB felt like home for my dadEveryone employed there was friendly, caring and knowledgeable of what a memory care facility should contain. The residents were engaged with staff and each other, not parked forgotten in their rooms. Music played, people sang and conversed, some were exercising and some playing games. Each resident was always addressed by their name with a smile and hugs. Dad was well cared for physically and emotionally, when he had lost his appetite, the staff never stopped encouraging him to eat, even purchasing special foods he liked. When I was not visiting, the nurses and director kept me apprised of everything concerning Dad. Our family was always welcome to visit. We could not have found a better home for DadThank you Grand Brook!

However, Janine, Nilda, Tangi and all of the caregivers worked tirelessly to ensure my mom was safe and my family was well informed and supported during this time. The staff go above and beyond not only to care for my mom but to show her that she is loved. They are friendly, nurturing, attentive and capable. Grand Brook is superior to other memory care facilities. It has an atmosphere of positivity and kindness. The caregivers have a wonderful attitude, and are attentive to all residents. My dearest husband of 59 years is currently at Grand Brook. He is extremely well cared for in every respect. He loves the activities, he loves all the staff who are always very kind to him and to all the other wonderful people who they care for. They have always taken the time to assist me on multiple occasions.The on-site Support Group meetings have been both enjoyable and very helpful.
