My aunt was at Abba for nearly 21/2 years. I moved her from a previous home hospice group. That groups care was to starve her to death, in my observation, and eat food I bought for my aunt. A contact of mine helped me find a residence and a hospice group that showed compassion and loving care. Abba assisted living and Shalem Hospice Care were it!! She was moved from near death to living for 21/2 more years! She was feisty when she returned to life definitely tested the staff’s patience and even mine. She realized, with my reminders, what good care she was receiving since she was totally bedridden. With ABBA’s care and Shalem Hospice watching over her she remained mentally alert and thankful for the care she received. At age 95 nearly 96 ( May 15) she was ready to go to her Heavenly home and did so peacefully and pain free on February 4, 2023. Thank you Victoria and staff and also to Shalem care givers for keeping my aunt with our family for 21/2 more years! Abba, with Victoria’s loving care, is where you want your loved ones to be!! If hospice needed recommend Shalem without hesitation!

Gem of a place in a quiet Garland neighborhood. The founder , and also a geriatric nurse, Victoria arranged the transfer, hospice and room set up for our dear dying friend. She worked tirelessly and lovingly to make ALL the arrangements. The staff is like a family of smiles and love. I am so grateful and amazed at this place. Sincerely, NancyBallarini

Great atmosphere for your loved ones. My husband was very well taken care of and he never experienced any crises while there. I never felt like he was being neglected. my wife had a stroke. To say that the family was devastated is an understatement. After hospitalization and rehab, my wife needed continuous care, something we could not give her at home at the time. She was wheelchair bound, not able to get in or out of bed, or go to the bathroom by herself. I started visiting facilities in my area, knowing this decision was one of the most important ones I would ever make. One facility, not able provide enough care, suggested ABBA CARE, and this was a God Send for the following reasons: Its a small family run facility, whose caring staff treats patients as people not commodities. They work hard to provide a stimulating environment, bringing in church groups, organizing games, providing events to keep the residents involved. Just visit the website. They are located in a residential area with beautiful grounds, a historic 19th century barn and gazebo. Its a wonderful and peaceful place. They are very proactive, 18 months ago my wife developed a slight cough, something I would have overlooked. They quickly recommended hospitalization, and the cough quickly went into phenomena. My wife is incontinent, however I have never found her wet or smelled the associated odor that comes with this issue; In her room or the facility as a whole. I knew I had the correct facility on the first visit, asking if my wifes stroke had affected one side of her body more than another, and then arranged her bed to encourage working her weaker side as part of her rehabilitation. I cant express how blessed we were to find Abba Care, and how well they took care of her while we werent able. We will forever be grateful to them.Comments

My Mom has been at Abba Care for several years. She is now entering that slow decline toward the end of life. I am confident that she is cared for and loved by the staff at Abba Care and that she is resting comfortably. She truly is in the Abba Fathers care.

Abba Care was an answer to our prayers. They took care of the Aunt and Grandmother over the last few years. The staff was amazing and cared for them like they were their own family. There is no where else I would want my family members then Abba Care, they are the best!!!

Mom has called AbbaCare home for six years. Everyone working at AbbaCare treats her with exceptional care that comes with what you can see is a love and passion for the work they do. Finding a place where an aging loved one is safe and well cared for is a heart wrenching journey. We found that place at Abba Care. While no place is perfect, Abba does a great job of meeting the needs of their residents and that is hard to find. The size of the facility, the hands on ownership, management, and the compassionate staff make Abba unique. Our mother is cared for and cared about. Finding Abba was a blessing.

Abba Care is a true 100% GOD send for my mother and my family ,,,, The individual care is exceptional and extremely loving while still being very professional . My mother has been there for 6 1, 2 years and the staff goes way beyond what ever is required of them to be helpful caring and loving to all of the people who live there. The food is extremely high-quality and the atmosphere is one of peace and love. I dont believe there could possibly be a better place anywhere in the Dallas area .

in September of 2017, my husband and I moved his elderly father to Abba Care from another facility where he had lived for 6 years. It was night and day experience and our only regret was that we had not considered Abba Care earlier for his care!! The nursing staff is wonderful! The food delicious! Most importantly the care is consistent and very in tune with dads daily needs. Vilma and Victoria truly care for their clients. Dad has gone from wasting away to thriving. Abba Care has been such a blessing to our family and has given us peace of mind.

Small facility with a good size caring staff. My mother loves it there! All her needs are met, cheerfully. She seems at peace there. No worries, nice for me, too, not to have to worry.. Food is good, too!
