I recently attended the Spring Market event at The Preserve at Gateway as a vendor, and it was such a wonderful experience! Sharon Wood did an amazing job organizing the event and making everyone feel welcome. The event was held indoors, which made it very comfortable, and there were so many thoughtful touches like sweet and savory treats for guests along with a coffee bar. Sharon was incredibly professional, friendly, and attentive before and throughout the event. You can tell she truly cares about creating a positive experience for both residents and vendors. Everything was well organized, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.We had a great experience and would absolutely participate again in the future. Highly recommend Sharon and The Preserve at Gateway!

A 55+ community that encourages an active and social life style. It’s very clean, very quiet, very friendly and very accommodating for very reasonable prices. It’s walking distance to a 7-eleven but otherwise sits alongside be with all the other stores and restaurants within 1-3 miles. It’s a very convenient location. It has many amenities including a beautiful dining hall/community room, a theater room, mail room, exercise room, reading/quiet nooks throughout the building, swimming pool, gated parking, some garages, community events, elevators, on-site office and help desk, and so much more.

I have lived here since 2022. Since Greystar has taken over the property it is a pleasure to live here. Lots of activities to look forward to each week. I would recommend these apartments to anyone looking for a safe and friendly place to live. Management is a pleasure to work with. They are kind, respectful and caring professionals. I am moving to a larger apartment here and the transition has been seamless. All of the residents are friendly and I have made many friends here.

My experience has been incredibly awesome at the Preserve at Gateway overall but the social events held here are beyond anything I could have imagined. The community of friends during my engagement has exceeded my expectations. The event planner and the management personnel are so friendly and inviting. I would recommend this active adult living community to anyone that would like to enjoy their living experience. The property is well maintained and the maintenance department is prompt and very professional.

Awesome place to live!!! Manager Justin and entire staff are wonderful! I have lived here 2 1/2 years and love it. Very safe..clean..and if you have any maintenance issues they are right on it!..which by the way very little issues! Plenty of activities to keep you busy. Also the entire grounds are beautiful. If you or your love ones are looking for a great place for the 55 and older that is safe and well taken care of this place is it!

I wanted to take time out to thank staff for taking ’ time out to keep showing me different units. I was so excited about 2 bedroom on 3 floor the Manger was so support to making sure, I was happy of making right choice to move in what I like and I thank the staff for helping me to get right home to make my life stressed free this is a wonderful place to live very quiet and good activities at locations. My sister is living her dream life of help out neighbors she love to give love too everyone . Give special thanks to Courtney Sales Consultant. Also Event planner Sharon that brings special activities to the building. I'm so excited to move in Oct we will bring more special fun activities to 55 over Apt in Forney Tx. Thank God for good management that cares about everyone.

I have lived here for over a year and I love it! I love apartment living in general, but this place has so many engaging activities and opportunities to grow as a community. My husband and I visited and toured 3 or 4 two bedroom apartments. We also toured the two bedroom cottage which was very spacious and modern. It had a garage and a small fenced in yard. The apartment was located at the back of the property where there is an empty field for your view. There were baby bunnies in the yard. It's very quiet and peaceful. The pool area and amenities are very nice too. Courtney gave us the tour and she was very nice to work with. This place is tucked away but around the corner and down the street are all the restaurants, gas stations and shopping. It's conveniently located. This is a must see. Loved the cottage and was thinking about moving there.

From the moment you drive in, you can feel how welcoming and well-kept everything is. The homes are beautiful, the grounds are maintained with such care, and there’s a real sense of pride here. What really makes it special, though, are the people”neighbors quickly become friends, and there’s always something fun happening, whether it’s community events, fitness classes, or just a friendly chat on a morning walk. The team is amazing too and provide great customer service. The location in Forney is also great, with shopping, restaurants, and medical care close by, but still tucked away enough to feel peaceful. If you’re looking for a community that’s not just a place to live but a lifestyle filled with connection, activity, and joy, this is it!

I toured this community recently for my mom and was really impressed! The staff was so friendly and welcoming! They took the time to answer all my questions and really made me feel at home. The clubhouse is spacious and the pool area was very nice. I was really impressed with the social calendar they offer. Even the residents were friendly during the tour! We will be back soon she can move in soon!

The Preserve at Gateway is managed by Greystar now and they have done a lot of great things to update the community. The Lifestyle events are really great, maintenance does an excellent job and completes work orders the same day, and the new manager Justin is very professional. Great place to live!

Just wanted to share my recent experience with Maintenance CW and the new property mgr Justin. Reported AC not working and they were out within hours to evaluate . They determined it was the compressor which is never a good thing however CW and Justin jumped into action. Justin ran to get the part and CW spent a few hours in 100 degree heat to get it fixed. It was a few hours later and it was cool again! Can’t thank them enough!!!! Five stars!

The amenities and office staff here at The Preserve At Gateway are fantastic! It's no wonder they get such great reviews! Everyone is polite, helpful, and very respectful and the maintenance department is prompt and highly skilled in all phases of apartment maintenance! The pool is always great, it's cleaned daily even if noone has used it, the gym is always clean and well maintained, and the Salon has one of the BEST hairdressers ever! Overall, I would recommend living here! ‘

I have safety concerns for my mom since the new ownership takeover of salon within the community. I believe this needs some refinement, communication & hours aligned with leasing office hours. The kindness to the elderly, allowing them opportunities to voice their concerns while believing their wishes and thoughts matter is important. While there are clear differences with managing staff, currently; Barb(Tidy Staff/Make Ready) is fabulous to make sure coffee is ready daily via machine, hallways smell fresh & most recently in the heat, she has been moving resident items due to glitches in leasing office, of current/leased storage garages right along with the speedy maintenance repairs/fixes working totally solo, CW! So kudo stars for Barb & CWfingers crossed for salon owner currently, alongside manager, the safety concerns & scheduling will smooth out. Concerned Daughter~ UPDATED 10/22/23: all other reviews have received a response from management with the exception of mine. Wonder why? The concerns regarding safety associated with the salon have still not been addressed. The shop manager is very kind:however since August there is no nail services, no price list and she is here very very late in the evenings-sometimes at 11:30 pm-yes, I have witnessed this over months. Again the other ladies were locked out and now this gal still has NO CONTRACT with this management company Ashland Green. WHY? There was no manager for roughly 6 weeks, rotating leasing agent from other properties and NOT OPEN ON SATURDAYS. Actually, they aren’t busy, it is a very slow paced property and the nicest one this group owns. The new manager, Mr. Quinn, exudes such a helpful and kind spirit. He speaks with such softness that is not threatening but inviting. My mom appreciates this and actually has begun to leave her home to interact with others because she doesn’t carry the fear she did with the previous manager. Concerned Daighter~

I'm confused on what basis the negative comments have appeared recently. The community has been a great place to live and I have nothing but good things to say about my experience here (I have lived here for over 18 months). Romy has been an absolute treasure in managing the property and goes out her way to please the residents and works diligently to set up fun activities and events to entertain us residents. The maintenance man (C.W.) keeps everything working and in tiptop shape despite currently having to work on his own. In addition, the groundskeeper (Barb) consistently keeps the community nice and clean both inside and out. I'm hoping they keep up the good work and continue to make Preserve a fantastic place to live!!

I have lived here for over 1.5 and have enjoyed the community overall! The new management team is wonderful! Romy is always there to help with any issues. She’s been very helpful has met the expectation of kindness. I have never heard her scream or talk down to anyone in the community, she’s always been courteous and professional with me and my family. Great place. Monthly birthday celebrations, and other cultural celebrations, BarBQs, free Starbucks coffee bar, beautiful complex, beautiful movie theater with popcorn. Huge pool. We have the best maintenance Ever. Quiet peaceful atmosphere. Everything you need is near by. Perfect location Best management team I've worked with. Great people live here. You'll love it. Oh bring your pet too! There's plenty of walking parks and three ponds.

It was very stressful for me to downsized. I was referred by my cousin to The Preserve at Gateway and this move was the best thing that happened for me. Management is awesome. Romy Castille is beautiful inside and out. I love the staff, amenities and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I love it here!

I moved to the Preserve at Gateway in September. Emily, Rosie and Bill are fabulous. I love living here. It’s so peaceful and friendly. It’s safe and everything is so well maintained and taken care of. . If you are looking for a great community to move to, come by and check it out.

Have lived here 17 months. Delighted with property prior to new ownership (approx 5 weeks). Nownot so much. Lack of communication is a real problem as is the removal of benefits we once enjoyed. We are hopeful things will improve soon.

Inside is great as well as new managers Emily and Bill. Lawn company is average/poor at best. They wack everything in sight and use carcinogenic herbicides outdoors. Sprinkler system works inconsistently, so many trees and shrubs are burning up. Outside lights are on during daylight hours---a waste of power during high demand summer days on the state's power grid. Inside a '5' outside a '1'.

There seem to be a problem when we first moved in last March. We have started our second year with a new manager and other staff. The place has changed a lot for the better tenants seem to be happy and enjoying the apartments.

The most recent group of staff have changed my opinion of living here. Emily, the new manager, has tried very hard to pull the community together and even when she has to go against your request, she makes it very clear of why she can’t help you. However, she listens and does TRY. Rosie, office Lead Associate, always speaks to you politely, runs the front office with efficiency, is mostly eager to help you with problems and always tries to give you advice as to get you through the problem.. Bill, maintenance manager, practically is at your door to solve any problems by the time you turn in a complaint order. (Before he came, it would sometimes be days before you got any type of help.) Finally, Cedric, maintenance and grounds keeper, has always been polite, tries to show you tips to help you,, and talks to you like he really wants to know you! As a team, they are a 10! Sincerely.
