The Tradition - Prestonwood – Reviews

I visit to widowed friends who reside in Independent Living. Both enjoy the social life, delicious food, lovely surroundings, caring staff and engaging entertainment and outings. One says “it’s like being back in college at the dorm. So fun” And unlike some other retirement locations my friends appreciate that there was no big buy in to rent the spacious apartments. The Executive Director “Kat” and locally owned and operated upper management put residents first.

Taking care of seniors is such a challenge. There are many ups and downs in the entire process. With this in mind, I think the Tradition does a good job with taking care of their residents. Of course there are issues but I could not find a better place that provides the same services. The new executive director is on point and has made things run more smoothly. I would say the most important piece is they don't charge a massive buy is fee. What I know for sure is the residents are happy and there are many opportunities for being social. Regarding safety, at this time I don't have concerns. Their handling of Covid was good. The dining services have had some issues but is back to being very good. Once again it is not perfect but my mother is happy there so I'm happy.

I started working at Tradition Senior Living Lovers Lane in2015 and since then I have met some wonderful people. The staff and residents are all like family. Two and a half years later I am now at our Prestonwood property .. Update 2021 I am now at a new property of Tradition in Houston. Absolutely gorgeous property.. As of this month I am going on my 6th year... Best decision I made was to come here. All of our staff and especially residents are just as wonderful..... Best job I ever had....

My Mother, who is 95, has lived in The Tradition going on 5 years. I can not begin to say how comforting it is to know she is being taken such good care of. In these very difficult times, the wonderful owner and staff have done everything possible to make sure she and all the residents stay well and safe!!! They have taken every precaution to maintain everyones well being!! And still make the most delicious meals delivered right to their door!! Knowing my Mother is so happy and comfortable is such a blessing!!!

Love working here im one of the servers but i hate the rude managers name Darlene i thought our job is about team work and helping each other to better ourselves and make our residents happy but she hates it when we help one another and that is wrong she even hates it when we ask her employes to help use when we have one of the bussiest days ever and makes a face about it or a write up for that now that is really stupid and unnescesaary for a manager to do that the only managers who is helpful and teamwork with use is tracy , vicente and denise i aprecciate and respect them for always helping us out when we need it (: those managers are the best because they actually listen to our problems and hows we can better our selves (: and we also have a chef who is rude and his name is brandon he is really disrespectful and cannot help u out when u need it he always spends his time on his phone always he never lets it go and that bothers me and one of the best chef that is so caring and respectful is tony , that man is the best person we can come to when we need something in the kitchen and that is our life saver from our tradition because he works himself to have what we need their (: another thing i respect our resident their our caring and lovable and some can be pretty grumpy but their always so humble and kind, and our cookers so much respect for them to cook for them and also our dishwashers i have so much respect for them they get everything done to satisfy our resident their our hardworkers
