Cutting back staff, not enough people working in the dining room. It is not uncommon tow wait 30 minutes to order. Cut cleaning crew to 4 people and increase the number of rooms these poor people have to clean by 30%. Cut breakfast to oatmeal and toast to cut costs. Cut maintenance to one worker...insufficient. No follow up on issues. Eddy posts resident's concerns on a bulletin board and nothing is ever done. Some pilferage goes on. Renee never follows up with resolving issues. One person on night shift is insufficient due to emergencies. No help if people need assistance in getting picked up from a fall. Good people have been let go or left. No control over parking or car blocking entrance.

Talk about taking advantage of the elderly. Staff taking things out of residents rooms, switching to serve yourself continental breakfast. Where people in wheel chairs can't carry stuff to their table. Don't move into this site, Byer beware. Rooms that don't have AC. NON ADA COMPliamce.. what a joke. Better to live at salvation Army. Don't rent here.

I love living here. The dining room staff are great and will bring us items not on the featured meal of the day. We have a salad bar, soup and potato bar. We are served 3 meals per day and the weekly menu comes out every Monday. The activities range from pool, card games, bean bag toss, singers, happy hour ,movies, trips restaurants, majong, puzzles, making small items, and too many more to mention. There is an on site dog park, library, movie theater 3 times per week, beauty salon, and physical and occupational therapy. They take us to MD appts., banks, restaurants, and outside activities.the free washer and dryers are on each floor. Housekeepers come weekly. The fire station is around the corner. All the staff are kind and knowledgeable. The residents level of education is higher than other places I have lived. There are sofas and chairs where we can gather to talk. It is extremely quiet after 8 pm.

I am 81 years old and have lived at this beautiful senior community for almost 7 years. We have gone through major changes and upgrades to result in this magnificent building. Since we have gone through major staff changes, we have finally been given the gift of our Eddie Phelps who is the Executive Director of Emerson. When Mr. Phelps entered our community, we became joyfully transformed into a happy and congenial population of happy residents. Eddie brought a bright congenial attitude with humor and an easy going approach with all the activities. Eddie makes himself available every week with his 'Enlightened Conversations with Eddie". This means he is always available and also participates in our pool tournaments which we had never had before. Our monthly themed lunches have been outstanding with such themes as Italian and Chinese to come. We now have the most impressive activity calendar of any other senior community in Dallas. Also, Emerson has the most outstanding video shows of our real residents having grand times here at our Emerson, and/or at Mesquite Rodeo, or fishing , or Casino, and/or trips to any/all fancy restaurants in Dallas. Emerson also offers Religious services to churches and also in house. Eddie Phelps has brought a special kind of joyful magic to Emerson and I feel like I already live in heaven, so could not imagine Heaven living any other place. Janet Butler

I went to visit my great grandmother and I was pleased seeing the new construction, very modern! I also was informed that the dinning room was opening, my grandma doesnt enjoy the thought of that but Im glad they are opening with precautions and hope she goes to dine in for meals, through out Covid-19 there was restrictions and she notified me that she didnt feel so lonely because the dining room servers that came by the rooms always had a nice conversation with her, and I just want to thank them, hopefully I can dine in too with my Grandma. Although, one time I came in to ask for cartoons of milk an a elder women in position said they dont supply any for lunch. But everything is great. Housekeeping is awesome. I would refer this place in the future.

I have so many good things to say about The Emerson- where does one begin? The staff is amazing, they care for their residence as though it is their very own parent. There is attention to details that even I as a daughter overlook sometimes. The residents are called by name By just about everyone making this a very personal experience. Food is tasty and abundant, the rooms are being updated, new windows new paint, it has been a delight to see all the changes at the Emerson but what has not changed, is the personnel and that is a gift. A special shout out to Dani Jones and the love and attention she brings to every resident. Well done!

Treemont still lives... as Emerson on Harvest Hill! in 2003 my sister and I moved our parents from San Diego to Dallas and stumbled upon Treemont. I walked the premises and then checked out the available apartments. 2 were awesome because they were VERY large and we had moved all of our parents belongings... everything fit. I put a hold on both units, woke the sleeping family up and the selection was made. It took some time to make friends but quite quickly they were at home in Texas. The activities were fun, the food good, the the true draw was the fireplace where our parents and their new friends gathered nightly to share their lives. We truly believe that it was the perfect community for Mother and Daddy and also gave my sister and I quality time with our parents without having to do the housekeeping, preparing the meals... all the things that are worthwhile but dont leave enough time to actually share our parents lives. Thank you to Treemont. I KNOW that Emerson on Harvest Hill will be even more wonderful than the previous landmark.

I think the dining room is the most welcoming place in the building! and the hard working servers dont get much credit. They handle each resident carefully even though they get a bit picky with the servers. I love there enthusiasm! Such a great staff, id want on my team!

We love Emerson On Harvest Hill! There are so many things available to the residents for them to do throughout the day, week. When we visit, there is always great entertainment in the auditorium and the staff is always so polite and kind. The residents truly seem to be enjoying themselves and its wonderful to see so many of them up and dancing! The last time we visited our grandmother, not only was the building director (Dani) serving appetizers, but the new building owner was also there. It made us feel great seeing higher ups taking the time to be around and interact those that live in the building. We also met the new dining room director, Albert, he is AMAZING! We stayed for dinner and the gumbo was delicious. We appreciate the different dining options provided to accommodate everyone living in the building. Weve also eaten in the dining room and that was a very pleasant experience as well. Our grandmother has been living at Emerson since last spring and she speaks nothing but great things about every aspect. Shes met so many new friends since moving here and she is not only very well taken care of, but genuinely happy. We would recommend this building without any hesitation and look forward to our next visit!

Cannot say enough about Treemont and its employees. My mother has been there for 16 years and I have never had one complaint. They are very courteous, friendly and caring. The residents are too! The truly are a family. My mother has chronic health issues and if no one has seen her that day, they will contact a residential staff member to check to make sure she is ok.My mother speaks highly of the dining room staff, their smiles, conversation and willingness to cater to her needs. They have always treated her like a family member. This facility has been an answered prayer. Overnight, my mother was unable to return to her independent apartment life so I had to make an immediate decision to find a new home that could meet her needs and change in lifestyle. I was very fortunate to find Treemont through A Place For Mom, Joan London is their spokesperson. They truly made this very emotional time in our lives so much easier.oe is a driver for Treemont that takes exceptional care of the residents and their needs. He is a very special asset to this community.Thank you Treemont for taking such good care of your residents and please continue being the exceptional people that you are!

Treemont is a blessing. My 96 year old mother has lived at there for nearly 6 years and we are so grateful for the wonderful quality of life she has enjoyed during this time. Recuperating from a long illness when she moved there and using round the clock private care, my mother was visited regularly by the Dani Jones, Director of Treemont, who showed genuine interest in getting to know her. That kindness and generosity of spirit meant a great deal to my mother and to our family as it was completely unsolicited. Today my mother is happy and active in the Treemont community and considers it home. She has many wonderful friends and enjoys participating in activities such as book club, attending programs, and happy hour. We have found that the staff goes above and beyond to accommodate residents needs. And while we would like to see better menus and food quality, my mother has always found the dining room staff to be lovely. She is one of Treemonts greatest fans and so are we. Finally, let me add, Treemont is not a nursing or assisted living facility. My experience is that people thrive here when they have strong family ties and everyone has realistic expectations about life in a retirement community. As the old saying goes, you get out of life what you put into it. Thanks, Treemont!

My mother, Virginia Whaley, moved to Treemont from Dillon, South Carolina in 2009, 8 1, 2 years ago. It was the best decision she and her family ever made. By moving to such a great facility with a staff and management that really cares, her life was extend considerably.I can attest to the great friends and new family she made at Treemont. The constant schedule of activities kept her engaged in life and active. Also, she greatly enjoyed outstanding camaraderie with her new friends and family.I highly recommend this facility due to its great management team.Virginia was very happy right up to her recent passing on July 18th., 2017.

My dad has been in Treemont for two months now, and it was definitely the right decision. The staff and residents are friendly, the food is good (much better than other places we visited), and they offer a wide variety of activities. The decor is very warm and homey, and there are lots of outdoor areas. We are so glad we found Treemont!

We have a relative who has been living at Treemont for a little over the past year. Each time we visit, the hallways and common areas are clean and bright, and residents are well taken care of by the staff. Residents are treated with respect, as individuals. There are a lot of fun and informative activities planned for residents who like to socialize and participate. However, they are also free to do whatever they like if they are not joiners. Lots of nice areas to congregate and visit with friends, play games or just sit and spend some time. The dining room is run like a very nice restaurant with table service. Food is very good - I have eaten there a few times. Residents are allowed and encouraged to have pets - there is even a dog park! Transportation service to stores, appointments, etc is a well run system; drivers are courteous and helpful to those they are carrying. The apartments that the residents live in are a perfect size for someone who lives alone. Not too big but not too small. Living area, small kitchenette, ample bath and closet.Living at Treemont is a good transition for someone who can no longer live alone, but does not require traditional assisted living or a nursing home. They still have the independence to come and go as they please, but if there is a problem, there are people there to help. Gives families great peace of mind.Beautiful apartments.Well maintained complex.Next to the.soon to be remodeled Valley View Mall.MostCoveted and safest area of Dallas.

On April 1, 2017 my mother and I had the pleasure of touring Tremont Brookedale Community. We were greeted by the director of marketing named Will Willford, whom also assisted & guided our tour. Let me tell you, it was beyond a pleasurable experience. My mother is disabled with multiple sclerosis and we were looking for the perfect community that gives her a sense of independence but also provides her with assistance if needed. Treemont Community is truly that place. From the 3xs a day full course meals, wide range of activities, spacious apartments, on call staff, physical therapy on site, charming residents, and so much more this place is beyond what I could have ever imagined. During our tour Will Willford was very thorough, detailed, patient, caring, attentive, and I can go on and on. Not only did I witness these traits in him but with the majority of staff also. But you see what sold me other than the superb customer service from ALL staff that we encountered, was the vibe of this community. This place is not a nursing home or gives off a negative vibe, it is an actual HOME. Both residents and staff know each other by name and the compassion that was obviously shared unanimously won me over. Both staff and residents we encountered the majority have been there 13+ years, this let me know that the residents are happy and their needs are being met, as well as staff if theyve stayed that long. Community could not describe this place more perfectly but if I had to describe it using another word it would be FAMILY. See the connection between staff & the residents is remarkable and once the tour was over, both my mother and I knew we had found her home. So we planned her move in! My mother has now been living at Treemont Community and she could not be happier. Shes active everyday! Shes social! She can come and go out of her apartment, floor to floor, and utilize every amenity on each floor. All of her needs are being met in more ways than I could imagine. I mean this place sells itself. Tour on a Sunday! Listen to live music and watch the interactions between staff, residents, and families coming to see their loved ones. I wholeheartedly recommend this place not to mention I bugged Will and staff an entire month before move in and every accommodation was made, no hesitation. Dont think twice about this place go see for yourself! I waited to do this review because I wanted to provide anyone who was like me, worried, or unsure about a community for your loved one, this honest review is for each of you!If any of Treemont staff see this, To: Will Willford (Director Sales, Ashley Lynch (Dining Room Manager), Alesha (Dining Room Assiciate), Mattie Wade (First Impressions Director) and ALL STAFF whove Ive met but cant recall names only faces (sorry) THANK YOU for all that you do not just for my mom but for the residents as well. Youall are the ones I personally interact with the most and know that yall are greatly appreciated for the hard work you do!!!Rosielyn

I have had the opportunity to visit at Treemont Dallas on several occasions over the past 5 or 6 years. Each time I visit I am more impressed with the building itself, the staff and the management team. The building is clean and welcoming; the residents have many activity choices each day. The staff seem to know each resident individually and really care for them. The Residents always seem like they are happy and having fun. I especially love visiting at the holidays when the building is decorated with great care. The Holiday show seems to be as much fun for the audience as it is for the performers. Treemont is a great place.
