After experiencing the horrible care and environments of 3 other long term care nursing facilities, we are THRILLED with Canton Oaks! My father is extremely happy, well cared for and CLEAN always, food is good and he enjoys every meal! The staff does their best to keep a positive, engaging, active environment for their residents. My father is always doing something with his friends there. The facility does not stink, is always clean and well maintained. Resident rooms are comfortable in sizing, large windows to enjoy the sun, large meeting areas for plenty of space to visit outside of the regular rooms. Staff has worked hard to help my father stay healthy after a rough few months of sickness. Very pleased overall with where he is now and so is he. He calls it the "Ritz Carlton"! We have no plans of moving him anywhere else as long as the great care and environment continues. 🙂

I would like to thank everyone at Canton Oaks for caring for our aunt. I know she finally connected with a lot of the staff.The staff is very caring and loving. Even at the end you were all so attentive to her. I would recommend the facility 100%.

My mother was a patient at Canton Oaks Rehabilitation Center after sustaining several rib fractures in a fall. The center staff were wonderful and very kind to her. It was apparent that they liked their jobs and were proud of the facility. We feel that my mother received superior care by committed professionals. This was the second time a member of our family has used the services of Canton Oaks and we will do so again if needed.

During my mom’s stay after being transferred from the hospital to receive physical therapy, her morning CNA, Angelique, quickly became the highlight of her day. Angelique took wonderful care of my mom and always greeted both of us with a warm, welcoming smile. I saw her nearly every day when I stopped by, and her kindness, compassion, and attentiveness never went unnoticed. She truly made a difficult time easier and more comforting for our family. We are forever grateful for the care, respect, and genuine warmth Angelique showed my mom. She is truly a blessing and an asset to your facility.

Very professional, courteous, knowledgeable of my recovery needs after 2 major surgeries. Kind & compassionate nurses, nurses aids and physical therapy staff. Great place to feel at ease with their care.

I was a resident at Canton Oaks. I had a great experience there. The staff is so caring and kind. A couple of my favorite staff members are Shalaundra and Sarah. The facility is clean and inviting.

I am a Christian Minister and came to Canton Oaks over a year and a half ago. I was visiting someone for a friend and felt welcomed from the moment I walked in the door. The atmosphere and the staff were not the same as you get with some nursing homes. I was VERY welcomed and thanked for coming in to check my friend’s friend. I struck up a few conversations with some residents as well. The seniors at the center advised how happy and content that they were at their home. As a retired police officer, it was clear that these people were happy and cared for by people that cared about them. As an ordained Christian Minister , I would recommend Canton Oaks Nursing Facility due to their professionalism, cleanliness and their dedication to excellence. Bro. Ron Chaney

I am a chaplain and I have had many experiences with this facility. I have had families and personal friends that have used this facility and I am amazed at the professional as well as the personal care that I see here. It is as if the staff are taking care of there on family members. I frequent care homes across the metroplex and East Tx and the smiles on the residents faces at this facility says it all.

Shawna, Tracy and Christi were all a huge help in getting everything set up for my mom and helping me navigate through the process. The Aides on hallway 300 are the best. They treat my Mother like she is family. Pam, the receptionist has always been nice & pleasant & helpful directing me to the proper person. My Mother looks forward to the activities. The physical therapist are great, again very caring. No one is perfect & the staff is busy. You have to be an advocate for your loved one whether it's in the hospital or in a Long Term facility. ***** Kathy Arnold

The assistant nursing director came in to my dad's room screaming like a banjee. The PT and nurse I had spoken with went and twisted everything we spoke about. I have her on video. She needs an evaluation, retrained and possibly another line of work.

It is clean enough but the front door staff during Covid was a miserable wretch. Screamed and yelled at an old lady for coming to see her brother. The woman could not hear. Pam was horrible.

I can NOT say enough GOOD about this facility. I have now had both of my parents at Canton Oaks for long periods of time. The staff is eager to accommodate, they’re knowledgeable and compassionate and have shown such perseverance through the Covid pandemic. When my mom was there 2 years ago in her final days with a brain tumor, I can’t begin to explain how loving and attentive they were to her declining health! She was treated with the utmost respect and dignity throughout some really tough days. The relationships I built with the staff was what made me know when my dad had to be admitted as a longterm resident, I could rest easy knowing he too would be taken care of with great care and respect. Dad has now been a resident for 22 months and not once have I had to question the decision to put him there long term. In a world of pandemic, lack of staff and difficult days for health care workers, Canton Oaks has been A+!! I will always be eternally grateful for their concern and compassion for my parents!!

The nurses and nurse aides are so professional and personable to each visitor and patient. The patients are treated like they are the nurse or aides grandparent. They show love and care for each and every one.
