Susan has a great team at Buda Oaks. Working in the healthcare industry it is refreshing to see such a polished and experienced team that really cares for their residents! The receptionist is always very inviting, the building is very clean and residents enjoy living there! The events and activities they have for residents are incredible. Katie in Sales really enjoys her job and helping families get settled in! Stephanie the Health and Wellness Director is also very knowledgeable and has a great staff taking care of all the residents. The community of Buda is lucky to have such a great senior living option!

Buda Oaks is a special place. The residents have so many fun activities and their memory care staff were fawning over their residents and the caregivers seem genuinely happy to be there. This is one of the most affordable senior living communities in central Texas and it’s a heck of a deal. It has been my absolute pleasure to work with Katie. Susan, the executive director has such high standards and you can see those standards in the way the residents are treated.

I want to express my gratitude to the staff for caring for my husband before he got sick. While he was independent, you guys were awesome but when he got sick, the care that he needed was not there. I think it was due to the inexperience of the care staff. More education on s/s of UTI’s, in the elderly would have made a difference. Terry and I would like to thank Victoria who is the activities director. What an awesome job that it did to raise the spirits and challenge the residents especially during the 8 week walk through the Amazon. You offer a lot of activities for the residents and I want to thank you for strongly encouraging Terry to participate. Keep up the good work. This is for the front staff. Was always a pleasure to be welcomed by you. You are the first one a person sees when entering the AL. Thank you For the most part, I am glad that Terry lived there for a short while. I only hope that the caregivers get a little more experience in order to care for the wonderful residents To anyone who is looking for a place for their loved ones who is needing extra care and support. This place is wonderful. Buda Oaks offers a clean and nurturing environment. The staff are friendly and caring. The food is delicious and activities are engaging. The reason that I gave a 4 was due to a situation unique to my family member and was not something that a staff member did. I would return him there if he did not require more medical care that an Assisted Living provides.

My Mom loves Buda Oaks and so do we! After a lot of research and looking at the options, Buda Oaks was and remains the best fit. I love that the staff are all very personable, professional and care deeply about what they do to make Buda Oaks the best. I can’t imagine my Mom being happy anywhere else and that makes us happy! Editing to add that the Activities Director is hands down the best there is. She coordinates some very cool outings as well as activities within the facility. From KY Derby to Hays HS Mariachi Band performances to making concha’s to a field trip to Bastrop all within the last couple of weeks-my Mom does more than I do! Buda Oaks is a solid 5

We had to make a quick decision because of a sudden health issue. Being from out of state, the decision was a difficult one. We had seen Buda Oaks as it was being built. I went in one afternoon to see if there was a place for my mom. I was asked "What do you want from us?" I replied, "I just want you to love my mom." That was a year ago. They have loved her in so many ways: the personal attention, the tender care, the infinite patience and the wonderful community that they have built. I am so grateful for them.

I toured Buda Oaks twice evaluating the memory care unit called The Retreat. I found the staff to be aware and alert to everything going on. They immediately greeted me and made me feel welcome. Christa Wallace the marketing director was especially helpful answering all my questions. I have toured over 15 such establishments during the past 5 years caring for my wife with Alzheimer’s. My parents moved in last June. The staff is kind and caring. When they first moved in my mom was having trouble setting up the payment portal, Kourtnie helped get everything set up. The next month, she went and helped again when mom was having trouble getting in. After my mom passed away, we moved my dad to a smaller apartment downstairs. The staff always makes sure he comes to meals on time. He always tells family and friends that visit how good the food is. Chef Max and the kitchen staff are great. The care givers actually care about the residents. The med techs are awesome. Housekeeping is great. I would recommend Buda Oaks. The facility is beautiful and the staff is great. There have been some minor issues awhile back, but I emailed the Executive Director Susan and she took care of the issues.

My 92-year-old mom is a new resident at Buda Oaks, and she couldn't be happier with her move. She loves the food and only has wonderful things to say about the care givers who come to help her with various needs. The staff are consistently kind, courteous, prompt, and always smiling. The facility itself sparkles. It is beautifully decorated and offers its residents many opportunities to enjoy the secure courtyard, a variety of activities, and social interaction. Executive Director, Susan LaBree and her team are the best. We couldn’t be more pleased with our choice in Buda Oaks Assisted Living & Memory Care and I can recommend it without reservation.

I was contemplating a facility for my loved one and came across Buda Oaks and upon reading the reviews given by relatives of former residents , I was shocked . Apparently whoever [name removed] is sounds as if she is a racist and discriminates against employees of color . She is only concerned with profits . It sounds like this place is toxic and seems like corporate doesn't seem to care or realize that she is bad for business . Same goes for the kitchen and some soup nazi running / feeding horrible food . Needless to say I will not be considering Buda oaks for my relatives care ! Until corporate makes executive director changes because a bad executive director can take good staff and destroy it causing the best employees to flee and the remainder to lose all motivation ! I wouldn't recommend. this place to anyone ! Happy birthday mom what a blessing you will not be going there !!! Finally in ending I will be sharing this at our upcoming 400+ home owners meeting .

Buda Oaks provided a variety of resident activities, served good meals, and made sure that I took my medications. My father has not liked transitioning into assisted living but the folks at Buda Oaks have been exceptional in helping him get acclimated. I also had a problem with someone trying to exploit him and the staff has gone above and beyond to work with me in ensuring his safety. If you want someplace where you can have peace of mind that your family member will be cared for and protected to the highest degree, I highly recommend Buda Oaks. And considering where he was, this facility is much nicer, the staff is so caring and it has a real "home" feel. I'm so glad we found Buda Oaks for my Dad.

I moved my parents to another assisted living facility in Buda in March. We were not impressed. A month later we moved them to Buda Oaks. Crista is a wonderful person to work with. She cares about people and her job. She went above and beyond to help me get my mom a Covid shot and get both my parents cleared for TB before we could move them in. The other facility never asked about either of these things which made me wonder what else they were overlooking. The facility itself is very pretty and well maintained. My parents laundry is done privately and almost daily. They get a choice of what they want to eat at every meal. They both say the food is very good. The only complaint I have so far is communication between their hospice nurse and the nursing staff at Buda Oaks is sometimes not great. However, the staff I have interacted with are mostly friendly and seem to know what they are doing. I will say staffing on the weekends does seem to be minimal as well. Overall, I'm happy with the quality of care my parents have gotten so far.

We absolutely love Buda Oaks. They have taken such good care of Dad during his first year in assisted living. He and his 2 cats moved in a year ago, shortly after Mom passed away. It was a tough time in his life. We found Buda Oaks and are so grateful we did. Dad moved in at the onset of the quarantine. We were all nervous of what to expect but fears were defused immediately thanks to the warm, generous nature of the caretakers and management. They continually have bent-over-backwards to keep Dad safe and happy; from setting up furniture and electronics, to just sitting and petting the cats while having a nice conversation with him. I can’t thank the staff enough for truly treating Dad like family. His apartment is so beautiful, and they make sure it stays clean always. And the food! Dad can’t get over how great everything tastes and the variety he is offered daily (all from scratch, chef prepared). Overall Buda Oaks has created a fabulous community for its residence and we feel blessed that Dad is a part of it.
