I had to put my father somewhere safe because it was to much for me to take care of him he has Alzheimer's and his body became so weak. I was told by I believe two wonderful lady's Margarita and Pat Yoesting at The Silverado nursing home. It was a blessing because The amazing lady's Rhonda Prince , Kimberly Castilleja and Roxy Bennett at The watermark had a spot for him and moved swiftly to get him in there wonderful physicality. He was very safe and happy there I would highly recommend. Ivan,Lizabela,Latoya,Jennifer,Olivia Hajarah,Sara and nick med tech are earth angels. Angela,Melinda,Ashley,Gladys,Brianna and Alicia /Care are also earth Angels lyann and Catie are the Activities coordinators. Every single person that that came in contact there are EARTH ANGELS. Both my professional/academic background and my personal involvement here at Watermark coincide in dependably balanced integration of both OBjective & SUBjective perspectives in this review. I'm a Behavioral Scientist - an Organizational Sociologist (MA, ABD) - and also a Resident who came here as Caregiver to my wife (in hospice), when I then suffered my own setback in a surgical accident causing a STROKE. It was totally disabling but short-term with nearly full recovery across several weeks; setting the stage for me to witness the Watermark staff accomplish something that led me to describe this place to everybody who would listen as the location of "the greatest number of caring people per square inch that I had ever seen." The corporate culture here, top down & ground up (medical, admin, housekeeping, dining) came together in support of my wife, enabling HER (in her own disabling ailments) to step up as Authentic Caregiver to her husband in his need -- bringing him to the point where his arms could once again support her. She lived the last few months of her own life helping him recover his -- all a testament not only to her character & dignity, but to the caring well-trained individuals in the unifying and superbly managed empathetic vision-directed culture around her.

Walk iinto Watermark’s entrance any Thursday or Saturday afternoon, and you’ll likely hear shouts and laughter coming from the hallway, Many of the residents will have gathered for a volleyball game, with some of us playing, some cheering and some watching. Our version is played with a blown-up balloon,. Residents who participate are required to stay seated. I have not been a person interested in such things, but there is joy in doing what we can to help our teams. Watermark is designed to help us achieve our best versions of ourselves, One of our residents runs competitively and wins in his age group, but we can all be winners here.

I had the pleasure of coordinating services with the Memory Care Director for a resident and their family. I have been a Social Worker for over 25 years and I would recommend Watermark at Southpark Meadows to my own elderly mother or any of my senior relatives. It is a great community to truly age in place with their Assisted Living side and I recommend a tour to learn more no matter your loved one's current care and social needs.

Watermark at Southpark Meadows is a very warm and welcoming place to visit and live. Watermark is well maintained and I see lots of different groups interacting with many events held at Watermark. They have a dining area, media theatre room and even have a hair salon for the residents. I interact with some of the residents on a weekly basis with rosary and communion from St. Paul Catholic Church. The Community Life Director Catie Ficklin and all of the staff are warm and friendly too.

My mom has lived here in memory care for a year and we are very pleased with the care she receives. This place feels homey and has a strong sense of community. It is very clean and well maintained “ housekeeping is always making the rounds. The grounds are lovely; my mom and I like to relax in the comfortable rocking chairs in the courtyard. The staff are very friendly and engaged with the residents. I find everyone who works here very approachable and dedicated to solving any issues that arise. I hate to leave anyone out, but this includes the Exec Dir, MC Director, sales, activities, concierge, business office and operations. And special recognition to the caregivers, med techs, aides and nurses on staff. Theirs is a difficult job and they show great compassion, patience and care with my mom. Some continually go above and beyond! I always leave there feeling like she’s in good hands.

Watermark is a special place for me because it is the first place that invited me to perform my solo classic country show. That was back in December 2022. They were gracious enough to invite me back and I have played there many times now. The residents are always very attentive and respond with applause and good humor. They even laugh at my dumb jokes and a few folks come up to chat with me after the show. There are always some visiting family members in the audience and everyone is being well taken care of. The staff is on top of things, well organized and efficient. They clearly have close personal relationships with the residents. I am always greeted with smiles and kind words and I can tell they really love their jobs. The facility itself is always as clean as a whistle, inside and out and very well appointed. It’s a lot like playing in a fancy restaurant. I perform at about a dozen senior facilities in the Austin area and I can tell you for sure, Watermark is top drawer.

I moved my mother to Watermark Southpark Meadows late last year from an assisted living in Houston area. I didn’t know what we had been missing! Watermark is amazing. Very open, modern, bright looking accommodations and overall atmosphere. The location is easy access to many shops and restaurants. Laura Sullivan (Sales Director) was a delight. Very knowledgeable and patient at guiding us on options and dealing with my endless questions. I also like that services are a la carte vs. levels. The support staff - so wonderful. Yvonne and Ezra at the concierge respond immediately, even thinking proactively ahead to the things I hadn’t thought to ask. Home care support are quick and friendly when Mom needs aide. Bathrooms have plenty of room for my Mom to maneuver in her wheelchair. Mom likes the food so much she has canceled outside lunches with me for specific menu items. There are great entertainment options - on and off site. Maintenance is quick to react, if needed. I have definitely seen my mom thrive and am so happy with my decision to move her here.

Fabulous sales director, Laura Sullivan who took her time listening to deep concerns regarding my elderly father and how the Watermark staff, food, activities, and daily care could best serve him. I truly felt heard and supported. Both my father and I loved the facility with well lit rooms, spacious hallways and a beautiful dining hall. We ate lunch there and both of us enjoyed the nourishing, tasty food. All of the staff were friendly and the residents that we met were very warm and inviting helping us to feel right at home immediately. This place has been a lifesaver for my mother. She has dementia and needs way more care than I could take care of her in our home. However, since making The Watermark her new home, her entire health and demeanor have improved in ways that I didn't think possible. Andrea was the reason that I knew we were in the right place. I don't know if I have ever experienced a higher level of customer service for anything in my life. My parents lived at The Elan South Park Meadows which in the last year has been acquired by The Watermark Communities at South Park Meadows. I have to say over the last few months I've become convinced their management and policies are really working. My family and I have noticed the care and skill the staff of the Watermark-Southpark gives my parents and especially now during COVID19, as we navigate our concerns during the lock-down situation. Their response and communication around the quarantine has been very clear and they have done the utmost in my opinion to assure the care of my parents during the lockdown. When you start walking through Elan you immediately get the feeling your loved one will be taken care of by compassionate professionals. As you’re touring the community you get a very warm feeling. My name is Patrick Murphy and I’m the owner of Amada Senior Care. One of the services we provide our patient/clients is to help them find senior housing and higher levels of care when it’s not safe for our seniors to stay home. When we have patient/clients with any cognitive impairment, Dementia, or need a higher level of care we refer the family to Jimmy, Jody, and their Team at Elan. It’s always a very tough decision to go through the process of placing a loved one in assisted living or memory care, but often times it’s the best thing for them and also you and your health. Caring for loved ones with Dementia or who are in need of a higher level of care is really difficult. My mom has Alzheimer’s so I know first hand what you are going through. If you are looking for an unbelievable community for your mom, dad, or spouse you really need to strongly consider Elan. You will not regret it. My first visit to Elan Southpark Meadows left me speechless. It is so beautiful and everyone is so welcoming from the moment you enter. Comments I've overheard speak of the rustic, resort feeling. One said "All this hotel needs is a beach!" and another said "I know there are 5 star hotels but this one needs an extra star!" The residents are so happy in this environment of great care, amazing cuisine and activities featuring multiple outings weekly, bingo 7x/week, exercise 6x/week and more. To sum up the Elan experience, one resident is so happy he will tell you he feels like he jumped off the Titanic and is now on the Love Boat!
