I am extremely pleased with this facility's accommodations for my stubborn, messy, and extremely (mentally and physically) frail uncle. The attentive staff effectively managed his complex medicinal regimen, attended to numerous health issues, regularly tidied his living space and bathroom, and fed him well. We've cycled him through various care facilities in the past, and this is the only place where he's been happy, as Parsons strikes the right balance between providing oversight and autonomy for him. The price is reasonable compared to comparable facilities.

Parsons House Austin will always have a special place in my heart. When my mother was no longer able to live alone, she moved into an apartment at Parsons House. She lived there for five years until her death. Mother was comfortable and cared for; and that was important because I live in the U.S. Virgin Islands. During the time she resided there, I visited at least 3 times a year and recovered from two major surgeries in an apartment close to hers. Parson’s House became my home away from home - and still is to this day. It is without reservation that I recommend Parsons House at this time. From the housekeeping staff to the management, they will care for and cherish your loved ones.

Update 3/13/24: Parsons House continues to be a great place for our family member. There is a real focus on community here. The current ED (Cameron) is even known to play pool with residents and is easy to work with. The business director Karina was welcoming, organized and helpful when we needed to discuss a question. Front office staff are caring, remember who you are and offer to help. Medication aides are knowledgeable and great at continuity of care. ---2022--- Update 5/24/22: Parsons House continues to be a great spot for our family member. Teffanie (special thanks to her for going above and beyond), Angelica, Kevin and Sarah have been great. I’ve always been called when there has been a concern and they have done well with communicating changes and Covid protocol. ---2021--- Met with the ED (Sarah), yesterday (she stayed late to accommodate my schedule and did the tour herself). Communication, care for the people and honesty drew us in. We look forward to being a part of the community. Will update as we go along. Thanks for a terrific start!

Parsons House is an amazing organization focused on their residents, with helpful and kind staff, excellent leadership and an array of services in support of the residents. From the first interaction to move in our family felt tremendous support and care. I wish there were 20 stars I could give this needed and valued organization.

I am so happy to have found Parsons House and with my decision to move my mother there a few weeks ago. I was uncertain if assisted living would be suitable, so the staff worked with me on a transition plan that turned out to be a very positive experience for both my mother and myself! All of the staff, especially Domingo, Elizabeth and Kellie, and caregivers truly care about their residents and families and, while making this move was a difficult decision, I feel very supported by everyone at Parsons House!

Got my mom from the hospital and she was unable to navigate our house. Had a wonderful person that suggested I check-out Parsons House. Nothing like being in a panic and not knowing what to do next to help your parent out. But they know what to do. They stepped in and took it from there. They communicate with me constantly which helps a lot. I would recommend this to anyone qith assisted living needs.

I went to visit a church member. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I like the way your temperature is being taken as you sign in. No time lost in taking your temperature. Considering the circumstance, the visit was pleasant.

My mom has lived at Parsons House in assisted living for six years. The pre-covid years were a five star experience as far as communication, level of care, activities and dealing with my mom’s and my (small) problems. The experience during covid must’ve been near impossible for any facility, yet I still felt my mom was cared for and we were receiving open communication re: active cases and steps toward resolution. The director and staff followed all the state and CDC guidelines as we resumed visits and, eventually, outings. Our experience now is more like three stars, which is why the four star rating. The director has changed twice since the pandemic, and communication with coordinators is more difficult. Unanswered emails are common now. All the direct caregivers I’ve talked with about my mom care are kind, helpful and do their best to keep up the pace but there does seem to be more turnover. My mom - who needs more help as she ages - gets overlooked at times. My hope is the new director can help guide PH through this troubling time. Much thanks to all the direct care staff and coordinators, particularly those who continue to give their best year after year! **Update 8/2/22: met with the director & assisted living director and with the addition of a service I wasn't aware of (paid), my mom will receive the care she needs. I'm grateful Parsons has an open door policy with the management staff.

My dad has returned to Parson's after being hospitalized for a week and then rehab about 3 weeks! The level of care and attention @ Parson's is beyond compare. Domingo, Teffanie, Jacob, front desk receptionist( sorry. I forgot her name), Joanne Are always professional, caring, courteous! My dad's needs are attended to expeditiously!

I am in the process of finding a place to call home for my Mom. I received a highly recommended referral from her Therapists at the Accent Care Agency. I was impressed when we arrived for a Tour that my name was on a Welcome Sign! My interaction with Rhonda Price was genuine and sincere. She shared her personal experience as well her honesty about our journey to find the best fit for my Mom. I really appreciated her hugs and smiles. They will forever remain in my heart.

I HIGHLY recommend Parson's House Austin! They have very caring and attentive staff, a warm and family atmosphere, lovely, funny and engaged residents and work their rear-ends off to address needs large and small on a daily basis. I have to say that the folks who work in this industry are often very unsung heroes, as they don't always get the eye of the public like doctors and nurses and EMTs do (who are also deserving of our gratitude). I equate Parson's House employees to ER docs and nurses, handling important medical, personal, confidential and social challenges each day, never knowing what may pop up. And they work hard to meet these challenges. They are also good communicators with family and handle things professionally. My father lived there for 1.5 years and we are still commenting in our family about how thankful we are to have found this place. Thank you, Parson's House! Keep up the good work!

I have been keeping my eye on Parson's House for a couple years as an option for my mother to age in place. I finally relocated my mom to this facility as she could no longer reside in independent living and could benefit from the assisted living services at Parsons while on hospice. We have only been there a couple days but first impressions have been amazing. It is obvious why the staff has little turnover. The caring and attention to the small details made me feel that I made the right choice. Rhonda, Sarah, and the rest of the team that I have met so far have all been compassionate and very caring for my families needs. I only wish I would have moved my mom here a little sooner.

My father has lived at Parsons House for the past 6 years. The staff are compassionate, professional and caring. Especially during this difficult time, the management and staff have gone above and beyond to bring comfort to the residents and their concerned family members. My friend, for whom I have medical power of attorney, has been living at Parsons House for over a year and a half. I have spent time in other assisted living and skilled nursing facilities, and I have never seen such diligent and caring staff. Their communication with family and friends is also excellent. I could not recommend Parsons House more strongly.

HIGHLY DISSAPPOINTED is the best way to describe my feelings in regards to how I was treated by this company. They were recommended by a number of sources so I as a primary caregiver in need of respite for my 91 year old mother with dementia decided to give them a try. I had reservations since as I mentioned she has dementia and Parsons accommodates assisted and independent living. Mom and I went to view the facility several times plus to meet with intake. We were encouraged to consider Mom moving in to the point of recommending which room location would be best considering her dementia. Being considerate of Mom's wishes I chose to try respite for a one week trial all the while I relaxed at home so I was available this first time in case she needed me. Overall the week went well . I got POSITIVE FEEDBACK from the facility staff in regards to Mom's behavior. Mom had enjoyed her stay. I WAS SET!!! A facility who truly cared about my Mother. I could take respite time when needed - plan a vacation!! Life was looking up!! Now for the LETDOWN. I requested another date for respite care. They were booked - no problem - I understand that happens in the summer people travel. I plan ahead and request another date 4 weeks out. This time no acknowledgement of email request so I call and leave a voicemail. No response I talk to person and am told it needed to go through a staff meeting so they will get back to me. Around 2 weeks later I get a call from another person letting me know that my Mother is NOT APPROPRIATE for their facility. Why did I have to ENDURE the RUNAROUND when ALL they had to say at THE VERY BEGINNING was Mom was NOT APPROPRIATE FOR THEIR FACILITY. IS MY TIME NOT VALUABLE?!? As a PRIMARY CAREGIVER YOU HAVE NO TIME FOR YOURSELF ANYMORE. To be treated with such disrespect by the staff who is responsible for running this facility is HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING. Enough said.

This is a great place to have a family member at. The staff is very tuned into each resident and treats them like a member of their own family. Assisted living staff is great. Only down side is the business staff has a give a ..... attitude, does not return calls, etc.
