Amazing place and people! We could not have had a better experience. From the moment we walked in and began meeting with staff, we were welcomed and felt heard. My mother in law settled in quickly and had a great experience. We received great advice and suggestions to make the transition easier for everyone. The facility is great, easy to navigate, clean and inviting. The staff are across the board…amazing! Attentive, knowledgeable, experienced, responsive, respectful, welcoming and caring. This place is full of love and happiness. As an added bonus, the in house hospice care with St. David's Hospice were remarkable as well. Seamless care during a difficult time. We were blessed with wonderful people and are forever grateful!

My mother has resided at Brookdale NW Hills for 7 plus years. This is her home and my family considers this community as our home as well. Every care team is greatly appreciated! The executive director makes this community a success. Under her guidance, each care team is thoughtful, prompt, and knowledgeable. The dining manager and staff are friendly and treats each resident as a family member. The food is delicious, presentation is beautiful, and the dining hall is inviting. The maintenance, housekeeping, and transportation manager has many responsibilities. He manages all areas perfectly. He is willing to assist my mother and me without hesitation. The receptionists greet incoming visitors with open arms. They are welcoming and do not hesitate to assist or direct. The med techs are knowledgeable and kind when administering medications. The nursing staff are phenomenal and do not hesitate to tend to my mother's needs. The nurse practitioner is exceptional. She takes care of my mother in more ways than one can ever imagine. Last but not least, the caregivers truly are caring! They take exceptional care of my mother. We are blessed to have a supportive, loving, and caring home for my mother!

I can't even really put into words how grateful we are that we found Brookdale Northwest early in my mom's Alzheimer's journey. Oddly, in many ways, we believe that she is happier now than she was during many of the years before she came to Brookdale ... she has discovered a group of friends that she loves to be with ... and they love to be with her. But mainly, we are so thankful for the staff. All of the caregivers, of every level, are kind and gentle and loving toward her. We could never ask for more than that! Thank you to everyone who watches over our mom every day.

Beautiful entrance reflects the tone and care taken on all four floors. Excellent dining staff bringing room trays on request really know the meaning of customer service. From fun birthday happy hour with Bob Apple playing country and more on guitar. To interesting programs on the brain aimed at the lay person level of understanding. And friendly Starr up front!

This place is amazing. Not at all what I expected in Senior Living. The staff are all very will trained, kind and caring. My mother is very well taken care of and when I visit every single person who works there knows her name and you can see how happy she is to be there by the smile on her face. The dining staff know what her favorite meals are and will make suggestions when she is confused by the choices. There are care staff that will bring her chocolate when she is feeling low. My only complaint is the main nurse. She walks around with a frown on her face most of the time and my limited interaction with her has been very negative. Other than that it is a GREAT facility with amazing staff. I recommend highly.

I have worked for Brookdale for almost 7 years, most of them at this community. From my first day here I have been so impressed with the compassion, respect, excellence and integrity the staff, the residents and their families impart. I love working in a place full of happy and well cared for residents and staff. The families are involved and attentive, and not just with their own family. There is a great sense of community.

I moved my mother from San Antonio to Brookdale Northwest Hills in November 2018 after my father died so she could be closer to me. I was fortunate to have a friend who worked there and whose opinion I highly valued, so I felt an additional sense of security about my decision. I visit often at different times of the day and can say theres never been a time that I observed anything that caused me a moment of concern about the facility, staff, or my mothers care. Just the opposite, I marvel at the patience, kindness, and competence of the entire staff. Its also nice to see familiar faces in an industry that typically has a high turnover, most of the staff at BNW has remained the same. The effort everyone puts into making life enjoyable for the residents is heartwarming, they put on so many wonderful events. Another thing that makes BNH stand out is the Harmony Enrichment Group, a program for residents who need a little extra social engagement and support due to cognitive decline and-or mobility issues. Im so impressed with this group, the leaders really get to know the residents and create a sense of community and belonging. They go on field trips, do cooking activities and crafts, arrange flowers for the dining tables, and eat together in the dining room. It has made a tremendous difference in my mothers frame of mind and her ability to adapt to her new environment.

I cannot say enough about the staff and my experience at Brookdale NW Hills. My Mom has been a resident there since the Fall of 2015. Steven A, Executive Director, has and continues to do an excellent job of leading his team of associates and healthcare professionals in a philosophy based on a foundation of quality, compassionate caring, communication and customer service. I have always felt supported and the senior team has always had time to listen. I've never felt rushed or dismissed. Watching my Mom over the past several years has been hard at times but the staff at Brookdale NW Hills has always been there with a smile, a hug, good ideas as to how to resolve challenges and above all a sincere wish to help. This building is full of angels. I simply cannot say enough positive things and can wholeheartedly endorse and recommend Brookdale NW Hills as an option for your loved one. I love the way Brookdale is nestled in the hills affording lovely views from most apartments. My apartment has internet service, a wide screen TV and a microwave and small; refrigerator plus ample closet space There are lots of reasons to leave my cozy room. Exercise classes, concerts from harp to bluegrass and a variety activities at nigh;,movies, conversations with Marci, bingo, poker.and jigsaw puzzles. The heart of Brookdale is in the dining room, where fresh flowers and beautiful table settings greet us all. we have a wide variety of choices at all meals, and breakfast is served all day. we are served by cheerful wait staff and friendly caregivers all day. I have a call light around my neck, which allows me to call my friendly caregiver at any time. the staff make every holiday a special event, with music, decorations, and food. adding to that, the many lovely people who choose Brookdale for their home are some of the reasons to be a resident here.

My mother entered Brookdale Northwest in Jan. 2010 as she needed assisted living care. The facility is mindful of a nice hotel and has a great dining hall with exceptional meal choices each day. The entire staff from the director to the nurses, front desk receptionist, financial assistant, and room attendants were all very helpful and friendly, as I observed on a regular basis each time I visited my mom. The facility is clean and maintained well, and was recently painted and had new hall carpet installed. They have a bus that takes residents on shopping trips and doctor appointments, which is very helpful to me. They have daily entertainment and activities for those residents that want to participate. Mr. Steven Aichimayr the director runs an efficient facility. Unfortunately, last week after 5 and 1/2 years, my mothers health dictated the need to move to Skilled Nursing at Brookdale Spicewood Springs and so far so good. We will miss Brookdale Northwest Assisted Living facility and I would highly recommend the place if your loved one needs assisted living care.
