My Mother has been at Heartis Arlington on the assisted living side for a little over 3 years. I have been extremely pleased. The facility is beautiful and well kept. The staff is Amazing!! They genuinely love and care about the residents. The residents seem to love being there and love the staff. Finding a place for a loved one is extremely difficult, but I was fortunate to find Heartis Arlington over 3 years ago. My Mother is so happy there, and she tells me that all the time. That speaks volumes.

What is Heartis Arlington like? Its my home away from home. From the first time I came here in December 2018, the Heartis Arlington personnel reached out to make me feel comfortable and at home. Because the staff was so friendly, they were easy to get to know. Whenever I have a question about something, they eagerly respond to find the answer, or they direct me to the person who has the answer. Sometimes there is a problem among or between the residents. Usually, a staff member nearby immediately steps in and knows how to handle the situation. This reflects to me how well the staff is trained. The Med Techs are especially sensitive to the needs of the residents. They go out of their way to keep us on our medication schedules. And finally, everybodys favorite staff person is LadyBug, who keeps the residents busy with mentally stimulating and fun activities. She brightens our days with her kindness to all and her infectious laughter. When my husband was in his final days, he talked about how he could not be in a better place at his time than here at Heartis Arlington.

My life at Heartis Arlington began December 1, 2018, and part of my life ended February 28, 2019 when my husband died suddenly. To move at that point I could not do. So, I stayed and Heartis became my family. There have been so many good times here, and of course, because of the COVID-19, there have been some bad times. Some of the Heartis family has passed and some have moved away to somewhere else. But, there is a group of us who have stayed...we are the rough riders. We stayed through many changes in personal (and believe me that is hard on us). Change is hard. The staff here at Heartis Arlington is wonderful. They are always caring and kind. But, I guess the worst part is the isolation and not being able to be with family. And to the elderly- family is their life. But all this will end in Gods timing and Heartis Arlington will be a happy, wonderful place like it was when I first moved here- I will go forward with gratitude that I stayed at Heartis – MY HOME!

My mother lived at this community assisted living for four years, Except for about six months during the early months of COVID, it has been a wonderful community, The first director and the most recent director are excellent compassionate caring people . The staff is worthy of the name Heart. My mother has dementia and benefited greatly from the activities and care there.

I took my dad for his initial assessment today. The executive director, Alycia is amazing! So loving and compassionate. Marla, the nurse over memory care, was so patient and compassionate while doing the assessment. I am very excited for my dad to have a new home, where he can find purpose and keep his dignity.

The facility is nice and clean. Most of the staff are friendly and kind. The food is good. I wish Heartis would fix their work order system. I have yet to get anything done with a work order. I have had to contact the executive director every time something needs to be done. The pipes in the attic really need to be insulated. The water is so hot in the summer that my mom cant shower or wash her hands at certain times of the day. When she needed personal assistance, it was sometimes longer than the promised 8-10 minutes. Thats a big deal when a 90 year old needs to go the bathroom.

My parents moved into Heartis-Arlington two years ago this month after living on a lake for many years. The transition was critical as I am sure it is for all new residents. All of the management and staff are beyond exceptional. They were (and are) caring, considerate and understanding. They made the transition much easier. After two years, I can say they are still dedicated to each resident. I LOVE everyone that works there. Unfortunately my mom passed away but with everyones help, my dad has continued to do well. The staff and management really listen to the residents and family members and will do what they can to meet each individuals needs. They do lots of activities. If you are looking for a place to call home, you wont be disappointed in Heartis.

Mom has been a resident in both the Assisted Living and the Memory Care sides since Nov 2017. The management and staff continually surpass our expectations. The facility is always clean, properly staffed with lots of activities for the residents. The staff take ownership of any issue brought to their attention and always leave us completely informed.
