My dad lived at Alexis Estates in Allen, Texas for seven years until he passed away. He enjoyed living there and had many good friends. It was like a real family to him. A good thing about living at Alexis is the mangers live on-site. Someone is always there to help if the need arises. They really care about the residents and make things nice for everyone. The activity director is wonderful and has many fun activities planned. She also schedules talented entertainers that come in for everyone's enjoyment, from piano players to singers and dancers and more. If you are looking for a great place to live for you or a loved one, please check out Alexis Estates in Allen, Texas. I highly recommend it.

Visited the community today and here is what I witnessed... a Very clean facility! , warm smiling faces from staff, and more importantly from residents. Lots of activities going on m some group, and some were just residents visiting, reading , or putting puzzles together. There is a chapel there and the overall atmosphere was calm and very uplifting.

What a warm, well appointed facility !! On my tour I experienced not only a super friendly staff, but the residents were all smiling and happy ! Lots of great activities for groups or individuals. I truly felt like I had stepped into a friends home. Can't recommend this home enough!

I moved my mom into Alexis about 4 years ago. This has been an excellent choice of home for her. She has blossomed so much, she started out a wall flower, when she first arrived. Now she is very active and everyone loves her and she has gotten close to several. The managers are awesome, especially Kevin and Chucky. They go out of their way to speak to all residents and know the residents by name. Alexis food is OK but wish the chef would consider the residents when under or over cooking the food. Otherwise I couldn't ask for more.

This is a wonderful place to live. The managers are 5 star. But managers are blamed for loosing residents. I blame corporate. Not residential management. Corporate is not keeping things updated to draw the public. This is a clean and caring place and a independent residential.

My mother has been taken care of very well, it's the office & communication that gets 2 stars. To be told there is an outstanding balance of $145 with no explanation (I paid still don't know why it is for & pay by end of Dec. it was) Now a negotiation for her new lease in February was forgotten about, being told I would be emailed the new lease, still wait. Please be professional with this aspect. I manage 85 offices & HAVE to stay on top of things.

I have worked at the Alexis Estates location for Legacy Healthcare Services as an occupational therapist since Oct 2020. I enjoy coming to work everyday at this facility. Walking through the front door I’m greeted with a warm smile either from one of the Hawthorn staff or from a resident, that lives at Alexis Estates. Although I’m not employed by Hawthorn, all the Hawthorn staff treat me as one of the family. The staff are all extremely friendly, helpful, personable and always professional. They’re always happy to assist me in any way possible to make sure I have what I need to provide the best care possible for the residents I treat for therapy. Lynn, the activity director, has the most creative ideas for exciting activities and a wide variety for residents to pick from that fits their preferences. She is always open to taking suggestions from residents so they have the opportunity to have their voice heard. Sterling, Kaitlyn, Sarah and Zach are a breath of fresh air to see in the management office. No matter how busy they stay ensuring the facility runs smoothly, they’re never too busy to help a resident. They work hard to resolve any maintenance issues as quickly as possible, with little to no delay. Claude, the maintenance manager can easily be found with a smile on his face and a positive attitude ready to make Alexis Estates a comfortable home for all the residents. Jennifer, in marketing is very knowledgeable in helping the residents make the transition to Alexis Estates as smooth as possible. She works very hard to ensure every resident at feels at home and feels like family at Alexis Estates. All the housekeeping and serving staff are so kind and thoughtful to give each resident personal attention to help provide them with top level service.

We relocated from Kentucky to Allen, TX for Toyota almost 6 years ago. My mom moved with us to stay close to her grandkids. She lived in an apartment not far from our house for almost 2 years until she made the decision that it was time to move into a community. She researched and talked with friends that she played cards with at Allen Senior Center which brought her to Alexis. She enjoyed a lunch and toured the facility and basically signed up right then. She called me and asked me to come check it out. I was impressed. Fast forward 4 years of my mom living at Alexis Estates Gracious Retirement Living and it was truly the best decision we ever made. The managers are absolutely amazing. It is clear that their priority has always been and continues to be that the residents, as well as family, are treated with the utmost respect and compassion. The chef and food service staff have monthly meetings that my mom and other residents attend to provide feedback that is incorporated in to future menus. My mom is very social and Alexis Estates Gracious Retirement Living has exceeded her expectations. She says she is living on the "cruise that never leaves port" with all the fun activities such as bands, parties, celebrations, bunco, etc. My mom is now fully walker dependent and no longer drives for the last 3 years. I'm so happy she is here.

Alexis Estates has been a wonderful home to my mother for the last three years. The management team does an incredible job of keeping the residents stimulated, happy and engaged. They have so many wonderful activities, crafts, exercise classes, brain games, bus trips, live entertainment. The residents are so nice and friendly and really seem to bond with each other. We could not have asked for a better, safer environment for our mother. I would highly recommend Alexis Estates!

We moved my father in law into Alexis Estates in last week. We have nothing but positive things to say about our move in process. Everyone in the office was very helpful and gracious from the minute we first stepped in the door. As this will be the first time my FIL will be living by himself in approximately 60 years, he had many concerns he wanted addressed. Everyone, residents included, answered our questions very patiently. We were please to hear that so many residents had continued to live there after so many years (many since Alexis Estates opened 4+ years ago) This indicates to us that the residents are well cared for and are happy living here. We visited several times before making the final decision to select Alexis Estates as his new home. As a health care provider, I was looking for particular areas of concern for the residents by the management staff as well as safety concerns. Each time I visited with my FIL, I watched management attend to the residents with attention to detail, concern for well being, quick problem solving, and desire to do their very best to met every need at a high level. The food has been excellent, my FIL has been active and engaged, any issues that have happened have quickly addressed.

We moved my Mom to Alexis from another state. She was independent and we were excited about all that was offered to keep Seniors active and help them form a sense of community. From crafts to movies to exercise, games, trips to the store, outings to fun places and group lunch outings. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My mom's apartment was always clean and the facility is kept immaculate. The decor is pleasing, fun and I always find something new to appreciate. Such a great place for our seniors and baby boomers like me. The all inclusive style, rent, utilities and three chef prepared meals a day, fun and even weekly maid service is a great concept, its like being at a resort every day! The 24 hour onsite management is a huge safety plus too! I could not be happier with this place!

Absolutely love this place! Due to the 6% increase of the previous place my father was living, he needed to make a move. I toured many places so he would be able to choose from several places within his budget. Alexis Estates won his heart, hands down. The 3 meals a day are chef prepared and the community of people are so loving towards him. Being a movie buff, he especially loves the theater. He can even bring his own DVD and enjoy the theater experience! feel secure in knowing there are managers that live on- site allowing access immediate help when needed. The managers and staff gave been fantastic. He also has access to additional support through one of the care companies. The onsite therapy program is more than convenient for him. His therapists are patient and kind. He even has access to exercise equipment to stay in shape.The activities coordinator has them involved with games, workouts and contests. He especially loves the contests! Ive looked and seen many other community independent living facilities and the building, decor, people, amenities and price are a perfect combination for my loved one at Alexis Estates!

If you look in the sky over Allen and see a rainbow, follow it! I will take you to Alexis Estates Retirement where there is a warm, welcoming community. What differentiates Alexis Estates from any other retirement facility my 93 year old mom as lived in, is there are two lovely couples that live on campus and are ever-present. Patti, Jim, Tracy and Brian are the Perfect Management Team that touch base with every resident during meals, eats with the group and keeps an eye on anyone not eating, not attending and will then follow up. Plus the management team is just so loving which is so refreshing for those that dont have love ones visiting. These folks become your family! The biggest advantage is if there is an emergency off-hours or you have fallen, you pull the cord or beep your alarm and someone from the management team is there in 10 minutes! Alexis Estates has a 24 hour ice cream machine in the Bistro (!), fresh fruit, coffee and homemade bake goods available, 3 really delicious meals, 3 excellent care giving companies to choice from for aging-in-place, a Physical Therapist on-property, monthly family events and tons of activities during the day to do or attend externally. So well organized, run by just the warmest, loving managers leading to a very happy community! You have found Oz!! And I thank you for all the support you provided my mom. Just no comparison!

The facility will celebrate its first year anniversary this month. It is a beautiful place, great location, and the staff is nice. However, there seem to be management issues because during that time, they have lost 2 sets of assistant managers, 1 set of marketing managers, 2 chefs, 1 activity director, 1 utility man, and 2 maids. That is a high turnover. The food quality used to be very good at first, but now is just average: some good, some bad. Based on rent amount and the fact that it will be going up soon, Ill say its an average value for your money.
