I have been an employee with the Waterford for eighteen months after thirty-five plus years in long term care. The facility is an open, friendly environment which has maintained a small town atmosphere. Everyone knows everyone and truly cares about each other. Sometimes it is difficult to see the person you love grow weaker each day and less the person you remember. The best thing any family can do is visit our facility, talk with the residents, the caregivers, dietary staff experience the hospitality and become apart of our community. In all my years as a nurse, Ive never received such a generous monetary gift from management OR the residents their families, as I have from you all at the Waterford!!! YES, I cried!! The families alone, showing their love is beyond any words. In my few months here, Ive met the sweetest residents, such supportive families, and such a dedicated, truly CARING, team of workers. Angie, youve done a great job in creating a family here, and I know first hand, just how important family is to you!! The whole team is amazing Im so blessed to serve here!! I am so thankful for the staff at Waterford, for their care, compassion and kindness when we moved both my parents in 18 months ago. My dad was very ill and recently passed but the caregivers took such good care of him, calling him daddy and papa, loving on both him and my mom. The nurses, caregivers and administration and residents have all become family so I dont worry about my mom feeling lonely or lost. I highly recommend Waterford of Smyrna!

The staff at the Waterford have been such a blessing to our Mom. Before she came a resident here she was lonely and sad. They have been a wonderful second family to help care for her emotional needs and medical too. She feels loved and special every day now. They have been very attentive to her needs as a cancer patient and making sure she is getting everything she needs. Thank you to the wonderful team of nurses who go over and beyond each day and stand by her through the toughest days. You are much appreciated!

My Mother was a resident at the Smyrna Waterford for 2 1-2 years. The care provided by the staff was truly amazing! When she became ill, staff volunteered when they were off the clock to provide care for her. I have worked as a nurse in healthcare for many years and have never experienced the love and care shown to my Mother.
