I would not recommend this place for anyone. They are not interested in making your loved one comfortable(except in front of you when you're there) All they are after is the money. It's so sad in this day and age that these nursing homes do not care about treating our loved ones with respect much less dignity by properly caring for them. How would they feel if it was them in there and they were being neglected, left in dirty diapers, left sitting at a table when the staff knows you can't feed yourself due to your Dementia or Alzheimer's. Plus it is a joke, the amount of money this place charges for care and they don't even provide enough help, decent food or even crafts and activities for all to be able to enjoy. Wake up you Corporate Morons running this place, one day you will answer to the good Lord for mistreating and depriving these dear, sweet senior people of loving, proper care. You will be held accountable. God forgive you!

DeWtt Place is an exceptional Assisted Living Facility managed by a first rate Executive Director named Miriam Higgins who gets out of her office to check on the well being of the residents and the proper interactions from her staff to fulfill the needs of all of the residents living at DeWitt Place. My mother has been there over two years and I have complete confidence that she is being effectively monitored and her emotional needs are being met as well as her healthcare needs. The entire staff at DeWitt Place are well trained. Covid did not negatively impact he residents because of the protocols set in place that protected everybody living there.

One of my family members lived at Dewitt until she went home to Heaven. She felt that everyone was very kind to her, and she never said a bad thing about her life and her care. I always had good interactions with everyone at Dewitt Place. Miriam Higgins and I communicated the most. She is a very kind and understanding person. Thank you to everyone who took care of my grandmother.

My dad has been treated like family. Everyone is kind and respectful. They joke around with him and he loves to joke. They encourage activity at times when he would rather lay in his room and mope. I love that they keep fresh new activities, exercises, celebrations, and gatherings. Just because someone is older doesn’t mean they don’t still enjoy life. I believe they’ve added to dad’s years and his sanity.

My parents have been at Dewitt Place for about 6 months now and they have tried very hard to make them feel at home. The staff is great from nursing to house keeping. I would definitely recommend this place if your parent needs that extra help. If my parents have any issues at all Dewitt calls and lets me know immediately.

From the time we entered DeWitt Place today and were greeted by a chalkboard sign that said Welcome Betty and Herbert until we ended the day, Dad and I were more than impressed by everything we saw and everyone we met. The staff was so friendly, kind and helpful; we felt right at home from the start. I really feel Dad is going to be very happy there in this clean and beautiful place.

This facility took great care of my husbands grandmother before she passed. They called with any problems or issues she experienced and showed compassion when she passed. Different care levels are offered. They have a great staff that will sit down and go over all of that with you.

My experience meeting the staff and viewing the facility was excellent. It is evident that a high standard has been set for the facility as whole, and especially in the care and comfort of the residents. I am very impressed with DeWitt Place.

My mom was in this place for two months. Kept telling them how sick she was..plz call Dr....I called three times myself...by time they got to her...she was almost dead...did pass 23 days later!

Having driven by this place many times, I was never really clear what it was. I recently had the pleasure touring this assisted living facility and I was more than impressed. It is much bigger than it looks from the road, although parking can be a little tight near the front entrance. There is security to get in and out at the door. Once inside, you will interact with a very friendly staff. You can tell they enjoy working there and the interaction between staff and residents is exactly what you want to see if you are a family member. From a place to work-out, to the diner, to a small community room where you can relax with others, it appears all residents feel at "home". The "model" room we were shown is just the right size (larger than a hotel room in NY) and one that you can customize with our own things from your home. This is definitely an assisted living residence that I would feel comfortable having a family member at.

Our dear neighbor and friend was moved to Brookdale by her only son. Her son lives in the Philipines, and therefore is unable to care for his Mother himself. Upon visiting my friend, I found this place to be very pleasant. The staff is knowledgable, competent, and genuinly compassionate.
