I have been living here over a year now and I am still pleased with my experience! I really appreciate how peaceful my living arrangements are, and myself as well as my dog Zoey have enjoyed meeting a few neighbors and security staff. I can also see and appreciate all the hard work and effort the office manager, Taneka Lewis, has put forth. I’ve seen quite a few improvements since I’ve been here, and Taneka has always been of great assistance to me as a tenant here! I appreciate her for maintaining a great level of communication and being caring and approachable even though she appears to be a one woman band. As a new empty nester, I can say that living here has been a great new peaceful experience! I love it here!

I recently moved in about a month ago, so far everything is great . It’s really nice on the inside, the leasing staff is very nice . The building itself is very secure . I did have two things that needed to be fixed and they literally were taken care of as soon as I put the request in. The people inside the building also seem very warm and welcoming . It’s a very quiet lowkey place to stay, I highly recommend!

I resided there 2024 and 2025. This not a place for senior citizens, 13 flrs and the elevators are constantly out or service. Fire alarms go off constantly. The amount of rent is not worth the extremely small living space. Maintenance was excellent with what they had to deal with-the building is old and is in constant need of repairs. Management let just say you would do better looking for a more suitable service. THE Facility and the atmosphere is not worth the $$$. I am truly grateful for being moved out of Egypt.

Loooove my new home!!! The office staff is friendly and welcoming. Spacious apartment with nice amenities. I love the resident retention events (never experienced that before) the entire process of getting in was fairly straightforward management kept me updated and made the transition a breeze. The courtesy officer, not sure of his name, does a great job you’ll always see him patrolling and checking. It’s that extra detail that’s makes you feel safe. Great location amazing staff beautiful apartment what more could you ask for

Ok , this place when I was occupying residency in it had shifting managements. I recall Pegasus and RPM specifically. The building itself was always in disrepair and suffered water leakage and damage. The winter of 2023 was the worse time to be a tenant here. I just remember the elevators would always be down and the building being extremely unclean and filthy. There was a bad pest problem that I actually had to fix on my own strangely enough. They ironically called themselves spraying (RPM) , my last month of being there. Pegasus was the managers during the extreme water damage. They kind of just was a unfortunate rescue mission. RPM was full on recovery I think cause they kind of had to clean up the mess. I actually was starting to like and respect them. They got a lot done and had a active team. I think they should just be given full on management ownership of the monarch on highland. They can brush up on their customer service skills a little bit though.

My experience with The Monarch couldn't have been better. The building, security, and apartments are great, but the highlight of my experience has been the people working here. I moved to Memphis from out of town and didn't have an apartment due to a problem I had with the one I had booked at another complex. I communicated this to Kay Ingram, the leasing agent who helped me, on an unscheduled visit and she went above and beyond with my application to make sure I had a place to live ASAP and that was the case. In addition, the staff has been excellent. I had a minor problem with my air cwhich I communicated and somebody was at my door to check on the air conditioning in literally 5 minutes. I decided on renting a studio apartment since I'm going to be living in Memphis for just one year so it's small but the arrangement the building has created takes advantage of all the space and makes the apartment feel bigger than it really is. The apartment is beautiful, appliances are brand new, the furnishings are beautiful, the kitchen top is granite, and, overall, everything works well. There is overnight security watching over and the area around the building feels safe, which was a very important factor in my decision given that I'm not familiar with Memphis at all. I would recommend living in this building to anyone.

1. The industrial elevator was broken for the entire year I lived here. The other elevator is often broken leaving the residents to climb up to 13 flights of stairs; this is very inconvenient when I have a wagon of groceries. 2. Constant construction going on the whole time, sometimes leaving residents to park on the street. 3. They don’t tell you when you move in that half the year you can only have AC & the other half of the year you can only have heat, this is a big reason utilities are included. 4. I was supposed to turn in my keys on March 31st on the last day of my lease. When I called earlier that day, surprisingly someone answered the phone & told me they would be there at the time I said I would be there (before closing time.) When I arrived at 3:45 there was no one around. I left a voicemail saying I had come by to drop the keys off & no one was there, asking if someone could call me back on Monday (April 3rd). On Monday I called about 10 more times with no one answering the phone. I was not going to drive an hour back out there for them to just not be there again. Today, (April 4th) I get an email saying I will be charged $135 for not turning in the keys. This is very unprofessional. I do not recommend anyone moving in here, or living in Memphis at all.

I really and truly regret signing a 12 month lease here because now I'm trapped for four more months and it's hell. Dirty , incompetent decision making on the management behalf and thirsty for however way of making money. You get fined for little things but people get away with blatantly smoking in their apartments and not cleaning up after their nasty pets. I also feel sorry for car owners because I don't go a day without passing another busted car window. Install a security gate around the perimeter , maybe that'll help. The rent here is too high for living in a bedroom with a kitchen and bathroom installed as well. I like Chelsea though , the rest of management staff is very weird.

I’m giving it two stars because even though it’s quiet and there are some things I like about this apartment, for example, the area. But to pay a thousand dollars in rent for my AC to barely work, the elevators to stay being broke down, to have no spaces for me to park my car in so I have to park in the street and get a ticket, and for the surplus of gnats everywhere is not worth it. Ontop of that if you want to add a new car window to your monthly rent, I suggest not moving here at all. There’s no security patrolling. I have no idea if the cameras work. It’s sad because the desk people are so nice but this is ridiculous. I found my car window busted in at 4pm when it was discovered at 6am that cars were broken into. This complex has my vehicle information and knew of this, but never notified me of it. I was so excited when I first moved in, now it’s been straight disappointment.
