I've had the pleasure of being a vendor at this facility. I love how the residents are continuously engaged through activities and staff interaction. The residents truly seem happy. I've witnessed the quick and efficient responsiveness of the Administrator and the DON. I can also vouch that the quality of meals and apartments are superior. I'm also excited to see the new changes that will be taking place. If you're considering bring your loved one here, you will not be disappointed.

My mom has been at The Pointe for about 2 years now. I live across the country (CA) so having people that really care for my mom and that I can trust and count on is imperative. Our experience started off great for the first 6 to 9 months, then the executive director left and numerous staffing changes occurred. During that time, there was no one point person that I could contact to check on my mom (thankfully there is family there) so honestly, we thought about moving her. However, in the last 6 months or so, since Marsha became the executive director, the facility has really turned around! The staff are incredibly responsive and caring. There are now activities that my mom can participate in and if she's not at one of those activities, someone comes to check on her and bring her out. It's a lovely place to be now!

My family member is in the Memory Care Unit. I know that the Care Partners truly care about her and her needs. There is always an LPN on duty to take care of any medical needs. The activities director is full of energy and does a great job planning daily activities and special events. The Executive Director has a passion for working in this field and is very knowledgeable. She is always available to talk and answer questions.

I trusted mom at this facility, due to a bad experience at another assisted living facility. I was checking on her everyday, until I started back working. The other facility I had to be there every day because I didn't fully trust them. I ended up moving mom to The Pointe at Kirby Gate. I had an unusual situation due to family members trying to find fault in me placing her in assisted living. However, my mother enjoyed being there. She loved to dance and she loved the caregivers. I was the one that felt guilty about placing her there. I asked her on several occasions was she mad at me for bringing her there. She always replied no. People have to remember they do have moments of clarity and she never complained about anything. She actually thought she worked there, instead of a patient. I love Marsha, Tracy, Marquette, (Misspelled probably) and Mrs.Betty. You have to have a certain heart and patience to work at a long term facility. I'm grateful to everyone from directors to the caretakers.

I'm an RN that comes into the building quite often. The energy and the culture that they are building now after a year of what seemed to be pure chaos is notably different. there have been changes made to nursing staff. Now it's a loving and caring community.

I am a physical therapy provider and have provided services at many places around the Memphis area over the last 10 years. This is by far my favorite place to be! The staff are caring and kind, collaborative with therapy (which is not as common as you'd think), and well trained. It feels like a family there. This is a hidden gem here in Memphis!

Who is management for this place? Residents are complaining that they aren't getting their baths and the food isn't very good.

Do not place your loved ones here!! They will not be fed. Food manager Alisa feeds these people trash. Soup and sandwiches. Sandwiches and chips. She orders no food!! The past couple weeks the cooler has been completely empty before truck day. Lunch served at 12. I was in at 10 to a manager telling me no food cause the truck was late. I cooked chicken tenderss, Salisbury steak, and pork chops as we literally had 10 pieces of each and nothing else to eat for the residents. No milk but a resident who enjoys milk with every meal. Dinner is at 5 and it's always soup and sandwich. They get hungry by night but no more meals until breakfast at 8 am the next day.

What a darling place! The first thing that I noticed when I walked in was how great it smelled followed by how friendly all of the staff members were. The admissions lady was very informative and proud of the facility. The rooms are nice in size. It felt very homey and I can see why there is a wait list.

I visited The Pointe at Kirby Gate about a week and a half ago. The room rates were out of my price range but I have to say that Kristen who is a Director there went above and beyond to help me. She was a breath of fresh air and a burst of sunshine. She referred me to a few different places in close proximity within my price range. I highly recommend the Pointe at Kirby Gate and feel blessed to have met such a kind soul.

We love the clean environment and the welcoming and very caring staff. We always feel like we are with family. We will highly rate and recommend them to our friends and Family and we have many. The word which comes to mind is Genuine when referring to the staff. I cannot say enough about the kind staff and welcoming atmosphere at The Pointe at Kirby Gate. My mom was lucky enough to live there for four months before she passed away. Each and every staff member treated her like she was a member of their own family and I always felt that she was safe and happy when I couldnt be with her.
