I had searched many Brookdale facilities and this one has been the best. It is bright, clean and the staff is wonderful. They take the best care of my family member. I never have to worry about her care. They keep me informed if ever there is any issue. Kathleen Merholz deserves a gold star in the way she takes care of each resident. I am very pleased with the services my family member receives.

We could not be happier for our mother to be at Brookdale Johnson City! In an effort to have her much closer to family, we recently moved Mom to Brookdale Johnson City from a larger memory care community in a neighboring state. The difference in her care has been remarkable. Mom's health, general well-being and happiness has improved dramatically in her three months at Brookdale, JC. From the Administrators to the Healthcare Directors and care-giving staff, the team is well-trained, professional, attentive, sincere, knowledgeable, kind and so very welcoming. They all treat Mom as if she were their own and celebrate the person she is! I so appreciate regular personal "check-ins" from the staff (an email or phone call), asking what they can do better to meet Mom's needs. Brookdale Johnson City has wonderful enrichment programs, activities and family involvement. The entire experience has been relational and personal--very different from the lack of care and the cold "transactional/business feel" we experienced elsewhere. Brookdale JC is a clean and lovely facility with friendly neighborhoods. Mother is thriving and I highly recommend Brookdale Johnson City to others. Five stars.

My mom moved here in Jan 2022. We both have made many new friends among the staff and residents. The staff are warm, kind and very considerate. My mother has never lived on her own in 89 years and now with dementia this has been an adjustment for all of us. I feel strongly that we have found a good partnership at Brookdale. We are very grateful.

They have a staff of very caring and capable people. Every staff member wears whatever hat is needed at the moment to fulfill the need to care and love the residents and their family members.

Brookdale is a great facility to take a loved one. I have visited several friends and church members throughout the years that have lived here. They have recently finished renovations and it looks great! Brookdale is clean, accommodating and the staff does a great job with residents.

As a professional musician and full-time entertainer, I perform approximately 200 shows per year at various senior communities, in addition to my other many musical endeavors, and the shows I've played at Brookdale Johnson City over the last ten years or so are truly some of the most memorable, and I have met, befriended, and fell in love with many there whom I will never forget. As usual, the outward beauty of the facility is only part of the story...the real beauty is in the hearts of the people there. Susan Katko, the Life Enrichment/Activities Director is the most cheerful, warm, and loving person toward her resident family that I know of, and every time I am there to perform, she is right in the middle of things, celebrating and participating with her beloved residents. Love is impossible to fake for very long---maybe one could get away with faking it for a short time---but having known and worked with Susan for about a decade, I can say that she always behaves as if God Himself is watching (and He is), and I have never played a show for her and her residents where she doesn't have them assembled, happy, and involved. If I had a loved one who was in need of senior care, and had heard the senior care speech about "your loved one's quality of life being our number one priority here...", this is one facility, thanks to the love and care and EFFORT of the staff, where I believe that platitude to be true. I have many beautiful memories of friends and members of the Greatest Generation I have made there, and look forward to many happy returns with my rockin' peeps at Brookdale Johnson City!

My mother, who will be 90 this year, has been in the memory care unit at The Garden House for over a year. She always tells me what a beautiful place it is. We feel very comfortable with her care there and how much she feels at home. Though it is very sad to see your mom go through this stage of life, The Garden House gives us peace of mind knowing that she is well taken care of.

My father has been here since June and the staff is great. He is very happy here and the staff takes great care of him and treat him like he was their father. Cant say enough good things about the people here. If your love needs care, wouldnt recommend anyplace but here.

I am in this facility professionally as the Outreach coordinator, for Comfort Keepers. The staff goes over and above with the utmost care and, professionalism. The dementia care is great and, the facility is pretty!

I am very pleased with Brookdale where my mother resides in the Memory Care portion of the facility. The staff are all very kind and take care to make my mother, and me, happy. Tall order. They are a terrific group of caregivers.

My Mother is a resident at Brookdale Johnson City Assisted Living Side and is thriving well. She receives socialization, dietary nourishment and caring people meeting her needs each day. She is content and it gives me peace knowing she has qualified people meeting these needs.

This is a great facility for families to be able to spend time with their loved ones and know that they are being taken care of. Suzy Cloyd makes everybody feel like they are at home with her caring attitude and commitment in making sure that families are being cared for.

My father in law lives there. He has a nice room and is able to have his own furniture. Its a nice looking place - very clean and homey-feeling. I like the fireplace. He loves sitting outside on the porches. Theres a really nice enclosed outdoor area with lots of flowers. I recommend this place if youre looking for a nice place for someone to live who needs help taking care of themselves. He doesnt participate in a lot of the activities but he loves when they have entertainers who play music. The workers are friendly and helpful.
