My grandma came here for rehab and it was the best place for her. They are so sweet and caring. Coming from one place that she was at before, where they beat her, AHC Applingwood did everything was AMAZING here. Floors clean, smells clean, very nice people all the way around. If my grandma ever has to get rehab again we are DEFINITELY coming here.

I don't know honestly where these complaints are coming from or why. Over the years, I have always found Applingwood to be clean and quite friendly. My mother loves it there and enjoys all the social activities they offer. Every time we talk, my first question to my Mother is how she is being treated and she always responds very positively. The staff there make it a point that everyone is happy and fully included in activities. I could not ask for more. I continue to be impressed by the quality of the personnel of this facility. They care deeply about their guests - including my Mom. You can state-mandate minimal services - but you can't mandate simple human care and concern. They have kept me continually posted on events and they have succeeded in keeping this place safe and comfortable for my Mom and for that, I am very grateful. My mother loves this place...and that is the best recommendation I can give.

They did an amazing job taking care of my sister for the 30 days she was there. No bad smells when I visited it was clean. Thank you to all the staff that had a part of taking care of Ms. Gwen

LTC facility. The doors were locked for safety and a mask was required. The staff was friendly and the facility smelled clean and fresh. Double rooms with separate TV. Rooms were large and spacious.

I really enjoyed my stay at Applingwood I was there about month and half for my rehabilitation therapy I meet a lot of nice residents,Cna,and nurses

Applingwood has been so very good to my father. I particularly want to give my deepest thank you and appreciation to Debbie, the receptionist, who continues to perform duties far beyond her actual job description. The kindness , attention and compassion she has shown my father is truly wonderful and has transformed by father and our family. Debbie understands his needs and her thoughtfulness has been immeasurable. I also want to also thank Lisa, the activities director, for her understanding, and who also has taken such good care of my father. And, I also must thank Jackie Smothers for her constant kindness, care and concern.. Thank you Debbie, Lisa, Jackie, Ms. Boyce and the staff for seeing my father for the lovely human being he is, but who at this stage in his life, needs more care and assistance, a point that we will all reach in life. My father came to Applingwood -- the result of poor heath care decisions while hospitalized and at another facility. Applingwood has revitalized him.

What can I say about this place! Short staff on the weekend smells really bad and you can’t visit him between 12 and one I was there at 11:45 and they said I can come in physical therapy is maybe an hour a day supposed to be two times a day now I’m gonna try to get my mom out of there!

We chose this facility for my mother after she had a stroke, not knowing what we would encounter once we arrived there. We were not notified of the visitor restrictions prior to choosing this facility. She arrived on a Friday when visiting hours were over, and after promising her that my dad and I would see her when she got there that night, we were told we could not see her again until the next Monday. I explained to the administrator that I was scheduled to fly back to Arizona on Sunday and was still not allowed to see her to say goodbye. And since she has been there, I have NEVER been able to speak to her actual nurse about how she is doing. I am currently on hold to speak with her and have been for 15 minutes. Being an RN, I feel it is important for me to know how she is clinically and know that she is being taken care of, and unfortunately I cannot confidently say that. My dad has only been able to see her a couple of times when he has had scheduled appointments every weekday, and they have been very late bringing her out to see him. He has had to wait an hour at times. Please do better Applingwood.
