An excellent facility that takes care of South Carolina veterans. I am so happy that my friend is in their care. Very clean, excellent friendly staff, and beautiful grounds. I recommend it to any family in need of placing a loved one.

I cannot express how much VVH meant to our family during my father's last months of dementia. The building and grounds are beautiful, clean and well-kept. The staff...there aren't enough words to convey how well they treated my daddy and our entire family. I will always remember their kindness and care. My blessings to the special people who give of themselves to take care of our veterans during such a critical time in life. God bless. Sherrie Benson on behalf of Ralph M Johnson

Our dad has been there for almost 2 years and instead of getting older it seems like he is getting younger! Great events that include family and community several times a year. There are activities 7 days a week- beautiful building and grounds along with a sunny dining area. The staff know my dad well and take wonderful care of him. Thank you so very much for all you do for our Veterans!

We put my dad in there in 2017. After he had been in a private nursing home , that was costing about five thousand a month. This place is like any type of nursing home facility. You gotta keep an eye on them and they have good people and bad people. We lived down in Hilton head so I tried to come up twice a month. I couldn't come as much as I wanted. From what I remember they're supposed to change the bed every day. But many times when I came up the bed had not been made et cetera. One time I came up and my father and put his underwear down the toilet due to having dementia. I could tell that underwear had been in that toilet for well over a week due now nasty it was. I guess the bottom line is they do their best. Overall , we were blessed to find this home for my dad who was a veteran , and they did a decent job overall as well. He was in the home about 8 months and died shortly after he broke his hip there at age 92. I have to admit on some of the jobs that I worked I didn't always give my best everyday and sometimes gave attitudes so I understand not everything is perfect. Overall this place was a blessing for my father and my family. I believe the VA homes have a better oversight than some of the other homes for people that don't have good incomes where they're actually getting beaten and bed. Sores and everything. Although this home is contracted out so to speak, it's still is under the umbrella of the v. A.

My dad was in the Curry unit for dementia of Veterns Victory House until he passed 9/13/2020. I was nervious at first being that its 45 minutes away. but once he was settled in and I was able to go I was very pleased and happy in how they treated my dad and how they treated me when I visited him. Everyone in that unit was caring and would go out their way to help me in any kind of way possible as well as my dad. Special thanks to Traci for helping me so much. Randi in activities for trying to keep him busy. You guys are the best... Again a million thanks to everyone at the house but especially Curry Unit...

I want to start by saying how Thankful our family is for the Veterans Victory House. My great experience started with Stephanie Ballard in Admissions. She answered all my questions from the Packet to admission day. We also had an exceptional experience meeting Amy Spears. She came to our house to meet our family and to do an evaluation on my Dad. This experience eased our minds and we knew we could trust that our loved one would be in great hands. Thank you Victory House.

I wish we could afford to put my father in a better home. There have been instances in the past with unpleasant employees but I won't get into that now. The reason I am writing this review is because the home does not seem to care that I have lost all contact with my father since the COVID 19 closing. My dad has a cell phone that we have to ask nurses to help him plug it into the charger because he is not mobile. For the past 3 weeks his phone has been dead. My mom and I have called the nurses station repeatedly asking them to check his phone for him. They always say they'll go check and never follow up with us. So now my mom has asked for a land line phone so we can avoid this hassle. They said no one can come into the building to set that up, which is understandable during the pandemic. My mom followed up again after this again about his cell phone and now she has been informed that his phone is "missing"... I'm assuming the phone has been missing this entire few weeks which would explain why no one ever charged it for him. It would be nice if there was follow up with family concerns and if the nurses/techs cared about the patients at Victor Veterans. I miss my dad so much and have not even been able to hear his voice in almost a month. Victory Veteran's home, you need to do better.

The staff and nurses made the transition easier for my family and dad. We were very impressed with the facility, nurses and staff. My dad kept a big smile on his face. They were very informative. It is great having a peace of mind knowing that all of the Veteran's in this facility, including my dad, are being taken care of. They are getting excellent care which they deserve. They all fought for our freedom, now it's there turn to be well taken care of. Thanks again to all of the Staff at this facility. We appreciate you all. Please continue the great work.
