I’ve had a very positive experience with this retirement community. The staff is warm, attentive, and truly seems to care about the residents’ well-being. The campus is clean, well-maintained, and easy to navigate, with plenty of comfortable common areas for socializing or relaxing. The community offers a nice variety of activities”everything from fitness classes and crafts to game nights and outings”which helps residents stay active and engaged. The dining options are solid as well, with meals that are both nutritious and enjoyable. What really stands out is the sense of safety and community. Residents look out for one another, and the atmosphere feels welcoming and supportive. Whether someone is looking for independent living or needs a bit more daily assistance, the staff is responsive and helpful. Overall, this is a warm, well-run place that provides peace of mind for both residents and families. I would definitely recommend it to anyone considering a retirement community.

Moving in to Terra Bella has been a great experience. The office and support staff have made everything go so smoothly with helpful hints and contacts to make sure that my Moms move in was successful. The room is beautiful with new floors and paint and the maintenance staff has taken care of any small changes that were needed. The dining menu and food are great with three home cooked meals each day. The residents have all been so kind and helpful and really interested in making sure that my Mom feels welcomed. Special shout out to Charles, her ambassador who was extremely knowledgeable and a delightful new friend.

While frantically searching to find a place for my brother to live in after his hospitalization and rehab., I called multiple assisted/independent living facilities in the Myrtle Beach area. Ashley Phillips, Terra Bella's Director of Sales, very patiently helped me through this difficult process. We were initially going to just use their 30 day respite, but the place is so beautiful (& clean!) and the people so kind and supportive, we decided to make it his home. I am so relieved that he has such a wonderful, safe environment to live!

Ashley has gone above and beyond, from the initial contact, to the tour and even after our parents moved in. The staff and residents we have met were happy, attentive,helpful and more. The updates were really nice compared to what is on the website. Everything seemed to be in place and clean. Ashley has taken the time to not only answer all questions, concerns I may have had but my sister, brother in law and aunt’s well. She has been very quick to address requests even when not it the office. In a stressful and even anxious time she was and continues to be of great help. While our parents have only been residents for a week they are very pleased and happy with their decision to make Terra Bella their home. Thank you Ashley!!

Such amazing and caring staff. The director Penny is exceptional and one of a kind. She really went above and beyond for my father, even though he could be rather difficult to deal with. During a very stressful time with my father with rapidly progressing dementia, she made it her mission to assist me in his transition to a memory care facility making it as seamless as possible given the challenges this event presented. I came for a 2nd tour and had lunch with some very nice ladies. I did not choose the main choice and there was only one choice! I had a sandwich. I was good. I took notice of the spinach my lunch mates had and it looked very much like canned! I really expected there to be fresh vegetables. I have to say I was disappointed.

I am an RN who has had clients at Eagle Crest, so I got to know it pretty well. It is a great fit for people who are independent enough to not need assisted living, and who look for a warm and friendly atmosphere. With three daily meals and weekly cleaning & linens provided, it makes good sense. There are porches to sit on and nice grounds for walking on. There are plenty of activities, so between these and dining with others at meal time, you can make friends easily. I suggest you visit if you feel this plan could work for you.

My mother lived there a few years ago and when she first moved in it was great. But management kept changing and with each change it seemed to get worse. The final straw was when they discontinued overnight staffing. One of the main reasons we chose Eagle Crest was because it was staffed 24/7, but unless you're comfortable with no staff from about 7:30 p.m. on until the next morning I wouldn't recommend it. It's a shame because it's a beautiful place but the corporate office made a dumb decision and put money before the safety of the residents.

My father was a resident for 4 yrs. Since dining becomes a major activity everyday....upwards of 3-4 hrs spent eating, quality of food is important. During his first 2 years I heard no complaints from my father. Once the ownership changed the food took a nose dive as apparently corporate management wanted to trim costs. Eagle Crest is just one of a few hundred "retirement" facilities owned by a large corporation that has many diverse businesses in it's portfolio. Driven by the Wall Street management to make all of their portfolio businesses profitable for the shareholders, the "retirement" side of the business seems to be taking a hit. No longer do the location managers live on site....thus no 24 hr emergency help just a few doors away. They now provide an Emergency Alert lanyard the residents are supposed to wear in case they need help. I guess this is the Wall Street approach to provinding service......farm it out to a third party person on the other end of a phone somewhere. Thank goodness a fire station with EMT's is directly across the street. The local management makes a good effort but I get the feeling their performance is judged on how much money they can save given a budget and targets set by upper, corporate management. Would I choose Eagle Crest today? Probably not as other, better options are now available in the area.

Very nice facility, friendly staff, but dining rm food is lacking. Young Corporate executives must have cut back the budget on serving quality healthy food. They also took away the management that stayed on premises so elderly people are left there alone at night. Not smart!
