My mother has been at Sweetgrass Village for over 7 months, and we have been very happy to find such a caring and inviting home for her. The staff headed by Director Kayley Patterson is friendly, caring, and responsive, the atmosphere is homey with an inviting Fireside Parlor, Activities Director Chelsea fills the calendar with lots of engaging activities, excursions, and entertainment as well as decorates beautifully for holidays, there is a professional chef, they have PT and OT in their on-site gym, there is an on-site salon, and the small size lends itself to the residents families getting to know each other so that it is like one big family there. They even have family nights for parties including the families and staff. Sales Director Hamilton Horne is warm, friendly, informative, and guiding (rather than pressuring as we experienced at some local retirement homes) to help you decide what is best for your loved one. Director of Nursing Jessica Singletary can also help guide you in your decision to see if this is the best fit for your loved ones needs.

I was the Executive Director for 9 years there and Cricket the Sales Director will accommodate and go above and beyond for your parent. Jessica the Director of nursing will equally as well help make the transition as easy as possible and she will love your parents like they are her own. Kennedy the maintenance director will help make their apartment fabulous and Kaffie the business office manager will assist you with anything you need. The residents at Sweetgrass have an excellent activity program and an amazing food service director. When looking for a senior living community, you must look at Sweetgrass Village, I can promise you will not regret it. It is small enough that they know every resident and family member. They will provide excellent care for your loved one! I loved every minute while working with my team.

My mom and dad had a very positive experience at Sweetgrass Village. I love how everyone is like a family because it’s smaller than most assisted living places. The staff knows every resident very well, and they go out of their way to help in any way they can. It’s a very positive environment with many outings and fun activities for residents to choose from. When my dad was critically ill, he was very well taken care of; and when he passed away, Sweetgrass could not have been more loving and supportive. We also were very pleased with the occupational and physical therapists. Everyone there seems to genuinely care about each resident. I am very thankful that my parents were able to move there, and I will always be very thankful to the entire staff for their loving care and dedication.

I’m a new resident of 2 weeks. However....the staff is fabulous. Plenty of actives almost hourly. Tours, bus rides. Ladies are serious bingo players. A different movie every day in a terrific movie theater room.All of my concerns are addressed immediately. I need to let you know of a young gentleman, Hamilton E. Horne, marketing director. He’s handsome, well mannered with southern charm that’s natural(probably thanks to his mother). He is helping me move to the delux apartment that’s a tad bigger than where I am now. More room for book cases, which brings me to mention the library here. And baby grand and two fireplaces and tables for eating outside. There is a delightful duck pond just outside the patio with geese and turtles. No snakes nor gators. Any how, remember the name HAMILTON. Tell your family, neighbors, care givers, pastor, choir members, bridge club, tennis, boat, golf folk too. We’re just down from county library, 12 miles or so from beach. Right around the corner from Tuesday morning, pet smart, nail salon stein art, and about 30 eateries. I’ve lived in Mt. P for 42 years, raised the children her, and now grandchildren and one great(so far). Come visit. Most sincerely, Ms. A.

The staff is amazing. We had an unexpected immediate need for placement. Cricket, Lisa, and Jim, (R.N.) were with wonderful...from my first (panicked) call to the facility call on a Tuesday until move in ( less panicked )on Friday, they assured me everything would be okay. It was. They handled coordination with my mom’s doctors, they came to us (at home) for an assessment, and even brought Mom gifts when she arrived. This is not the first time we’ve had to move Mom in to assisted living, but it’s been the smoothest transition for sure. The community is small, which is a plus for our situation.Mom was intimidated at the Palms, it was just too big for her. Sweetgrass Village is clean, beautifully decorated, and the staff is warm and friendly, and no complaints from Mom on the food. (This is huge for us). I’ve also talked with several of the other residents and they are all satisfied with the accommodations and all express a great appreciation for the staff. I feel very lucky to have found a spot for my mom here.

Had to place Dad in assisted living quickly and here came Hurricane Emma. Director Lisa McLeod came to the rescue and got Dad in and ready to evac. Evac was cancelled and my fathers stay began. From the start it was great. The nursing staff, the food, the management and all involved were terrific. Better than I could have hoped for. If you have a loved one who needs this kind of care look no further than Sweetgrass Senior Village.All in all even though I was in Arizona I was kept advised of all conditions of Dads care. They bent over backwards to help him and me and my family. Lisa is the best and is all heart. My hats off to them all. thank you.

My parents were blessed to become residents of Sweetgrass Village Assisted Living in 2010, with my mother passing in 2015 and my father in July of 2017. The facilities are lovely, always extremely clean and well maintained. The staff are like family...they care for the residents in such a cheery, kind and comforting manner. My parents had numerous health and personnel care needs and this was always managed so well, and ALWAYS with patience and a smile. And both my parents enjoyed the quality, choices and variety of the meals that are served in the lovely dining room. My dad was a coffee lover and he was always pleased...I cannot recommend SweetgrassAssisted Living highly enough. Lisa and her wonderful staff are amazing and the quality of care put my mind at ease that my parents were safe and well cared for at all times in . lovely surrounds. I am so thankful. I moved my sister who has some complicated health issues into Sweetgrass Village several weeks ago. The experience has been wonderful. The staff is well informed and welcoming. Every time to see my sister I am greeted with a big smile from Paula. Stacy, the nurse, keeps me well informed and has managed my sisters needs expertly. Emily has made us feel we are part of the Sweetgrass family. Lisa, the administrator, has gone out of her way to know my sister and to make sure her needs are addressed. The care and dining staff are there every day with a smile and have made my sister feel welcomed. The staff is wonderful, the food is tasty, the building is well maintained, and the activities are well planned. I could not be happier that my sister is in such a safe and caring environment.

I am writing this review as a Thank You to the caring staff at Sweetgrass Village Senior Living. My mother passed away suddenly and we were faced with the decision to find the best living situation for my father, who was showing signs of dementia and not able to safely live on his own. We discovered a small assisted living community nestled in a quiet setting. As hard as this time was for us, we found his home. Three and one half years later he is enjoying his independence even with his aging. I send my heartfelt thanks to all of the Executive Staff lead by LIsa McLeod for their dedicated caring administration of his home. With many thanks also for the caring and comfort that his daily caregivers and support staff attend to throughout his days and nights. As all those that have known my father will agree, if he can eat when he wants, adjust the thermostat when he wants, watch TV when he wants, take a nap when he wants and not need to do laundry or clean then he is one happy camper. My father tells me each visit that he loves this place and that the food is terrific! It is a huge comfort to me that he is thriving and feels that Sweetgrass really is home. Thank you over and over for all that you all do to make Mr. Ms remaining days happy and comfortable in his place.A very grateful daughter and family.

We have recently set up a family member here and couldnt be more pleased with our choice of assisted living facility! Everyone is kind and very professional, from management to Nursing staff, and even the dining room personnel, including a wonderful Chef! Having someone in a care facility is never easy, but having the confidence that they are safe and well looked after is priceless! Sweetgrass Village has given us this, and being one of the less expensive places in Mt Pleasant, we are very satisfied!
