Special thank you shout out to Jeff Waddell and Scott Souders for helping me sort out and correct internet/ethernet issues in my 93-year-old mother's apartment. Once I pointed out what I thought the issue was (based on a technician giving me the words) they stepped right in, worked with their MG contacts, and resolved an issue that I could not have solved on my own. I am so much calmer now knowing that her communication lines are working properly.

Rates keep increasing significantly while daily expectations continuously worsen. Elevators inoperable for extended periods of time (can't get the parts?), fire alarms at all times of the day/night, go to order "take upstairs" and wait over 15 minutes standing there without even an acknowledgement by the staff….until a maintenance staff member takes matters into his own hands (thank you!)……understand rates will increase, but stuff shouldn't get worse over time. Stop taking advantage of the elderly.

Absolutely love the employees here! I have been working with a client since April. Literally every single employee is kind and willing to help when needed! The building is clean and the food is always great! So many activities every day! I could go on for days about how impressed I am with this community! I'm here visiting a resident & am thoroughly impressed. The facility is beautiful, the amenities are numerous & outstanding. Beautiful grounds , pool & outside seating. Spacious apartments to make your home. The staff is friendly & efficient. The meals are fantastic. Can't say enough good things about Merrill Gardens at Carolina Park. I would love to live here!!

My mother had a very smooth transition from another memory care facility, thanks in large part to Holly Sutcliffe and David Vogel. Holly is always up to date on what is going on with mom and is very easy to reach. The food at the facility is top quality and mom always cleans her plate. The rooms and cleanliness of the unit are a plus. So happy we made the change.

We visited another senior living community, after visiting Merrill Gardens at Carolina Park and it was clear that this was Mom's best choice. It has truly been a blessing, it's a very professional and friendly environment! There are activities daily and mom is very happy! From the moment you walk in you feel right at home. Beautiful place!!! Friendly sales people but management is very ridged. It is a big business company not a small place that will work with you. For assisted living you need to not have any real needs. If you have trouble walking or standing on your own look elsewhere

My mom has lived at Merrill since September of 2019 and we have been very pleased with her care. While it is hard watching your parent decline the love and compassion that the staff shows her is comforting. She requires more care than when she moved in, but they allow her to still feel like she is independent and in charge of her life. They keep all of the residents busy with fun activities and social hours which she loves. She also loves the food. A huge shout out to the GM as she treats every resident as if they were her parents so that makes my heart happy. Thank you to all of the staff.

From the very first day I visited I was impressed with Merrill Gardens @Carolina Park. The staff was compassionate - especially Bart Ackerman , and guided me through all the details I needed to make a decision for my folks. The residents were unanimously happy to be there - the facility is well appointed , modern , light … and well maintained. Since moving my parents in the care team has been amazing - my parents love it there and while originally thought it would be an interim stop they are now making it home and hopeful to upgrade to a larger space. Thank you to everyone at Merrill Gardens for a warm welcome and caring stay !

Merrill Gardens at Carolina Park is a top notch senior living community! It is absolutely beautiful, the 7AM-7PM anytime chef-made meals are delicious, the outdoor pool and fitness center are extremely high end, the staff is so compassionate, and the group activities and fitness classes with amazing Laura B. will want you to keep coming back for more! If you or your loved ones are looking at possibly moving to this community, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

All of the residents seemed very happy and content. The area was so bright and clean. I had lunch there and it was wonderful. Happy Hour was also fun with the music and such. It will be top on my list

My mother, Rose, was a memory care resident at a Merrill Gardens location for about 17 months. The monthly cost for her to live there was indeed a good value when compared to alternative assisted living facilities in the region. The premises was beautiful and immaculate and she was fortunate to have been the first resident ever to occupy her apartment. During her stay, she was looked after by many dedicated staff, several of which were angels who approached their duties with extraordinary caring and effort. That said, working with and caring for people with dementia presents its own challenges that really require professional medical assessment and treatment beyond the scope of any assisted living facility. So, my takeaways from the perspective of hindsight include the need for getting a thorough diagnosis from a neurologist prior to taking residency and deferring to the medical providers contracted with Merrill Gardens (or any assisted living facility for that matter). Even with this caveat, day to day caretaking and service provision in all probability exceeded what other assisted living facilities were offering, providing. As far as my experience with the local management of the Merrill Gardens where my mother was at, Id rate the lower level supervisors, managers as exceptional whilst the general manager of the facility was more in the ballpark of borderline adequate overall insofar as the memory care unit was concerned, in my opinion. Notwithstanding my less than ideal rating of the general manager, Id be remiss to not say that Tana Gall, President of Merrill Gardens, whom I had occasion to speak with, was everything one could hope for as a leader of a company providing residential services to the senior population.

The Merrill Gardens Facility has wonderful, friendly residents. The feeling of being part of a large family is prevalent here. The food is outstanding and served all day. For my husband and I, this senior living residency has everything we could want to enjoy the years of our retirement. The senior staff employed here are the best when they can do their job.Most of the short comings are a result of decisions made by a Corporate Office across the country. The promised pool never has materialized, the Garden House for memory residents has little to no recreation program. With the culture of Charleston a bus ride away, the Merrill Garden bus has only twelve seats and no hired driver to drive to evening events.With the number of residents increasing monthly, I would hope that Merrill Gardens at Carolina Park would be allowed to live up to its fantastic possibilities.

I really love it here!! What impresses me most about Merrill Gardens of Carolina Park is the sense of family between the residents and the staff! These are truly caring people whose job is not just a job but a calling. Our general manager, Elizabeth, is outstanding. As a resident, she is truly approachable and listens to your concerns. She exemplifies an outstanding work ethic for her staff, and I can truly say that Ive seen her step up and do any job that is needed. The administrative staff here is extremely friendly as well as professional. The food is great and the chefs and servers are amazing!! Not only do they work extremely hard, they go above and beyond to be both patient, kind, and caring. The caregivers and med techs are also wonderful caring people. Although Merrill Gardens is new, I feel confident they are working with their residents to provide for their needs and also wishes promised by their corporation. I would highly recommend Merrill Gardens.

My Mother moved into Merrill Gardens (champions gate) in the fall. We are all so happy with everything. Basically my Mother lives in an upscale resort. The staff is more like family to us not just staff. I highly recommend Merrill Gardens. Its a dream and blessing.

I moved into Merrill Gardens with my husband and brought my little dog to be with him and help take care of him. Everyone was so nice to us and always there when I needed them. He was happy there which was so important and I would recommend Merrill Gardens in Renton to anyone because not only everyone was friendly, always knew our name and made us feel welcome staying there. My mother recently moved to The Oaks, Gilbert, AZ due to her increased needs for care. I have the highest level of praise for this wonderful facility. The care, concern and helpfulness shown my mother and all of us, her family, including the out of towners, (me) has really been extraordinary. Mom had deteriorated at her previous facility and we had to make a fast move which was stressful for everyone but the outcome has been better than we could have ever anticipated. Mom has regained strength and function, she is now out socializing and we can finally relax a bit. Choosing a care facility is hard but we are certainly feeling like we made the right choice.
